(OM= Older Me, LM= Little Me. I wanted to do this as a sort of reflection on what has changed about me. I encourage my readers to also have this sort of reflection)

LM: Hello?

OM: Hey Little Me, since you've starting 7th grade just wanted to check back on you.

LM: Starting middle school is a lot more different than I thought 😅

OM: And it keeps changing every year.

LM: Hmm, we're 17 right? I'm curious about what has changed with us.

OM: I can definitely say we dont stay the same.

LM: Like what? Did we dye our hair or something?

OM: heh, no but we went natural though.

LM: Natural? Whats that?

OM: The hair you have now is damaged and straight, but natural hair gives us an curly/kinky afro 😁

LM: Woah! We have an Afro?! Cool!!!

OM: Yeah, its big and beautiful. Although is kinda expensive to maintain but totally worth it 😌

LM: How did we get it?!

OM: By shaving our head 😁

LM: 😱 We. Cut. Our. Hair?!?!

OM: With our permed hair, our hair was weaker and it didnt grow. And its not like we went bald.

LM: So what did we do?

OM: We stopped perming our hair and the little the natural hair grow until it was at a length we were comfortable with and cut off all ther damaged hair. 😊

LM: What else is new?? Do we have a boyfriend?!

OM: Hahahahahah!!!! NO.

LM: Oh.

OM: But we have ex boyfriends 😏

LM: Really?! Did we kiss any of them? What does a kiss feel like?

OM: 😅 we kissed two of them, and kisses feel like nothing.

LM: I thought you were supposed to get all tingly and stuff...

OM: The books lie, my dear.

LM: wait, only two?

OM: yes, two I could see in person and the other two were strictly online.

LM: Do you miss any of them?

OM: N.O. We are currently happy being our single selves and loving it.

LM: But having a boyfriend is so cool!

OM: So would having a girlfriend 😁

LM: We're.....gay?

OM: Ehh, more like questioning, my dear.

LM: But doesnt the bible say that all gay people go to hell?

OM: We come to realize that we shouldnt always take what is said to us at face value.

LM: Does...mommy and daddy know?

OM: Not really, but thats a topic for another day. We're just open to experimenting to figure out our sexual orientation at the moment.

LM: Does anyone know?

OM: Yes, a few but we learn to surround ourselves with helpful, loving and selfless people. Many of which are in the LGBTQ community.

LM: Can we be gay and be Christians?

OM: Yes, but our faith is currently wavering...

LM: why?

OM: For a multitude of reasons, my dear, but its most likely our church causing this not the religion itself.

LM: But i like our church...

OM:....yes, well...it will be revealed to you soon enough as to why.

LM: Did we lose any of our friends?

OM: We came to realize some of them were not true friends. But if have a certain person in mind, yes, GYMDANCE is still our best friend. ☺ the others, you may be thinking of are either friends that go to a different school in our city or just an aquantince.

LM: Oh shoot! I have to run, Mommy is saying food is ready. 🤤

OM: 😂 Go eat and come right back, alright?

LM: I will, I still have so many questions.

OM: And in return, I shall have many answers.
