Hide a metal spoon in your underwear or somewhere on your person and it will set off the metal detector and security will take you to a room away from those your with so you can explain to them in private what your situation is and ask for help.

I've heard it's actually recognized as a distress signal to airport security. I decided to post this because it could be life saving information.

And it might come in handy for one of you someday. Because this is something worth knowing. And I hope none of you ever have to use this but if you do now you know a trick to help you.
