Some Books I've Been Reading
Quick list/summary of some books I've just recently finished reading:
This has been one of the most interesting series I have ever decided to read. It is strange, unique, interesting, with great and likable characters. Millard is my favorite...I feel for him.
I also love the fact Ransom Riggs decided to incorporate actual pictures into his books, to make the story sound more genuine. It's amazing. Although if I had to nitpick, I would say that sometimes he draws out scenes for an unnecessary amount of time. However, I am very happy to see it's quite obvious his writing's improved from his first book, which I thought was okay. By the third book it was AWESOME!
And the movie...is...okay...I guess. I hated how Tim Burton totally messed with the dynamics of the characters, though, so much that he switched two of the character's PECULIARITIES (those are very important; you don't just give them to another character like that smh). Also the fact they completely changed the antagonist, and ending, bothered me to know end. Just because Samuel L. Jackson's in a film, doesn't mean it's good, y'know. But the visuals were great, and the actors did a great job playing their parts!

This book is...so very interesting. Compelling. Charming. Definitely unique, and quite gripping.
Taking place in Victorian England, this mystery/historical-fiction book with a hint of magic tells quite the tale. The characters are interesting, and the interactions between them are A+. In a few hundred pages, you'll watch as a watchmaker, an ordinary man (he isn't ordinary, god no), a smart and ambitious woman, and her suave and stubborn best friend solve a big mystery: who caused the bombing in Scotland Yard?
Maybe even watch them fall in love along the way...(the couples are really cute, I have to admit)
Again, if I had to be nitpicky, the pacing could have gone a little faster at the beginning. All of the four characters don't really meet each other for the first time until halfway through the book. Nonetheless, this was a good read and I recommend it for anyone who likes a good historical fiction/mystery.

...hm? Oh! So sorry! I was just looking at all of the amazing fan art for this book!
Two Mexican-American best friends, Aristotle Mendoza and Dante Quintana, go through trials and tribulations and work through their differences to realize their feelings for each other.
That's it. That's the whole book. But it's a damn good one.
Honestly I didn't know what to expect from it. I just heard it was good, so, considering it was my birthday the day of the Superbowl (when the Pats won everyone went ballistic, believe me), I got it.
It's a romance/slice-of-life book at heart. It's just so heartwarming and cute, and the two main characters are so sweet to each other. The parents are amazing and so accepting and loving as well, and all, yes all of the characters are relatable.
I'm not going to lie, I was finishing the book in class, when this one part near the very end of the book made me tear up. By the time I finished it...yeah. I was sobbing. I just...I just felt so happy for them. Y'know?
And now I hear it might be getting a movie, and a sequel is on the way...

And finally...
The Little Prince.
Wow. Wow. Wow.
Three words to describe this book.
A little prince who lives on a planet not much bigger than a house, goes on a journey of self-discovery and teaches a pilot what is really important in life, and the meaning of growing-up.
Now, sure, looking at it, you may think it's for children. That adults can't really get into it. You'd be wrong.
Everyone should read this book.
Everyone. It will give you a new perspective of life.
Out of all of these books, this little eighty-page book is my favorite.
