So this happened to me a few days ago and I just...cannot...

These two kids were looking over Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I was a few shelves away contemplating what to buy, when I hear the girl sigh and say, "Ahhh. Fresh canon Scorbus content."

Her older brother (probably) responds, "Scorbus isn't canon."

"You spread lies."

"No...Scorpius likes Rose. Scorose? Yeah, that's canon."

I think I made a little noise in my throat when I heard that afterward, causing them to look my way.

Obviously, I froze on the spot, but I noticed the brother had a Gryffindor pin (out of all of the things to notice smh) so I blurted out, "Gryffindor is the worst house."

They both just kind of...stared...at me...

I had to save myself. "I—uh, sorry, that came out of nowhere. You just said something about Scorbus and, um, sorry about that. Um." I scooted away. "Sorry. Gryffindor's a great house."

But the brother said something that made me pause. "You."

"Uh..."

"You're a Hufflepuff aren't you."

I cringed, but nodded. "That was obvious???"

And then we all just kind of...laughed. It was nice.

Then we went our separate ways. The end.
