BOY do I have a series to recommend to you!

I actually didn't finish the Throne of Glass series, but the ACOTAR series...oh god you bet I've been binging that all week. So I'll just talk about it.

My short summary for the first book:

After slaying a Fae disguised as a wolf, as punishment, human woman (and fae-hater) Feyre is dragged away from her impoverish homeland. She finds herself in the Faerie world of Prythian, an immortal land ruled by seven courts, separated from the human world by a barrier. Held captive in a strange new world, Feyre encounters many quirky characters; Tamlin, her captor, and the mysterious masked High Lord of the Spring Court; Lucien, the snarky and sassy emissary with a metal eye; and Rhysand, the suave and cunning High Lord of the renowned, terrifying Night Court. And through them, she begins to learn that maybe everything she's been schooled to hate—about Prythian, the Fae, and magic—may not be so true.

But a blight is spreading throughout Prythian, threatening to destroy everything in its path, and to spill over into the human realm. And on top of that, Feyre is beginning to realize feelings for Tamlin that she'd never thought she'd have...and it's going to take all of her love and determination to get through the trials laid before her.

With epic and jaw-dropping plot twists, seductive writing, and powerful characters, a Court of Thorns and Roses is sure to keep you on your toes!

(And warning! There are some very, very mature scenes in here!)

(...Trust me it gets worse in the second book...) *cough* Chapter 55. That's all I'm saying.

So anyway! Yeah, first book. I'm not even going to bother with the second book's summary, as a gigantic spoiler fest would ensue.

I'll just let you in on this—those aren't even half of the major characters. Half of them aren't even present in the first book.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but my favorite character is Lucien. I love him even more than Rhysand. This little fox cub deserves so much more than what he's being thrown at him. He's had a traumatic past, his self-esteem is in shambles, his loyalty is unmatched but really worrying, and he's just been really mistreated in both books.

I want him to find someone who loves him as much as he loves them, and just...let him have an actual friend that actually treats him like one. (I mean, I ship him with someone and I just really need them to love each other)

The third book comes out on May 2nd (hey, same day as Trials of Apollo, whoop whoop!) and one of my requests is:

LET HIM BE HAPPY.

(okay so that was a mini spoiler but...it's...fine...?)

And, surprisingly, the second book is so much better than the first one, though the first one was AMAZING.

But this chapter is also going to be a kind of blah rant, so if you are interested in reading the first book and haven't, I suggest you stop right now lest you want major spoilers for the second book.

–Feyre not being so intimate with Tamlin while she does her spying (that mother trucking table trash...I stg...he needs to just not)

–Tamlin talks to someone. Gets better. He and Feyre get back to at least decent terms. He kills Ianthe (that priestess gets on my nerves). And then he can die. Or get kicked out.

Sorry man! I liked you in the first book, but then you decided to just...no...no.
