Would you stay with me under the light?
Would you hold my hand and hold it tight?
Would we still have that bright spark?
Would you leave me under the dark?

If I really mean something to you,
Would it be exactly what I knew?
Do I mean more than a penny down the street?
Or is the penny too worth for me to defeat?

I just want a friend in my sight,
To stay by me under the light,
But I know true friends can never be apart,
Even though it means going through the dark.

I've realized that only a few people care,
Strong enough for them to bare,
If it means jumping off a building,
Would our friendship be forever fulfilling?

Sure, I've made some terrible mistakes,
But at least I've got what it takes,
To either stay with you in the dark,
And promise you to never be apart.

Are we really friends?
Or more?
Can we reach the ends and soar?
