Weak

A/N

I feel like I love the "story" style better. Y'know, like the last "poem". Only because it's a bit more organized. And I'm kinda used to paragraphs like that.
Actually, I feel like they're more of a oneshot now. But shorter. I guess that's the only difference between them for me. I can't tell anymore.

I watched from above, seeing them operate on her weak heart. My heart was aching as well just watching, but I didn't care.

I only care about her and her only. Her heart beat was slowing down, but getting faster each minute.

This reminded me of the time I first met her. It sent shivers down my spine.

A few months ago, I saw her standing near a grave. She was crying, sobbing even.

She was the only one around, so I approached her. But not because she's alone, but because I wanted to make her feel better.

She saw me, floating in the air as a ghoul. Cold, empty and dead. She didn't scream, she didn't cry, she just smiled at me. She told me her name was Lovie Heart.

A few days later, she finally noticed the dark stain on my chest right where my heart was. She asked me what happened. I didn't know. I couldn't remember anything before I died.

A few days later, we were sitting on a bench. We listened to the beautiful chirps of the birds and the soft whistling of the wind.

My heart ached again. I was slowly fading away. She asked me if I was alright. I said I was fine but she didn't believe me.

"Are you... leaving me?" She asked. I sighed.

"I can't stay forever. No one can. But don't worry, I'll always be with you like we used to."

She hugged me tightly, but then I grunted in pain as my heart completely gave up. As I looked into her eyes, I faded until I disappeared.

I was weak.

Years later, Lovie sat there on the same bench. A girl sat next to her, they smiled at each other.

She was smoking a cigarette. Lovie chuckled.

"You still smoke?" She asked.

"Of course. If I'm gonna die, I might as well die slowly because of me." The girl replied, blowing out a thin gray smoke. Lovie coughed as she smelt the smoky air.

Her heart ached and she grunted in pain. She was weak. She collapsed into the girl's arms, her heart slowly giving up.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" She looked down as Lovie looked into the girl's eyes.

"Are you leaving me so soon?" The girl asked, stroking Lovie's hair. Lovie realized what the dark stain on her old friend's chest was. It was like a scar; the reason she was dead.

"Thank you." Lovie cried softly and hugged her. The girl was confused but she hugged back.

"For what?" She asked.

"... for I just remembered an old friend."

This was kinda inspired by an artist's comic, but I decided to write my own in a different way.

The artist I found inspiration to is an amazing guy. His comics are always heart-warming and some of them were hilarious.

I just thought about writing this, this morning so I dug into it.
