Im Drowning
A/N
Again, this is not a special poem or anything, it's just... like a... thing in stories or books or something. But I guess you could call it a poem to some people. I just thought about this when listening to Happier.
I awoke in a dark and wild sea, hearing the roars of the loud thunders. A storm hovered in the sky like a bunch of lions roaring for justice.
I couldn't feel my body, but I could see it being pushed around by the strong waves of water. My heart was pounding in fright and I immediately knew that I was drowning.
I knew I was drowning in the first place, but I was drowning in a sea of abandoned souls' tears. Their tears were salty and somewhat toxic.
My tears watered my eyes along with theirs. I was lost. I didn't know what to do or where to go.
I stayed in the water and accepted my fate. As a large wave was about to crash into me, a wrecked ship was being washing away by it.
Both the wave and the ship crashed onto me, pushing me down under the surface of the sea. I was choking, I couldn't breathe.
Wounds and scars appeared on my entire body. Large sticks of wood stabbed me as my blood flew around in the water.
I'm drowning.
From under the surface, I could still hear the loud roars of the storm. I wrapped my hands around my neck as I felt the salty water enter through my throat and choke me as fast as it can.
It was like choking in my own blood. It was like being tortured under water. And it did.
I kept still for I couldn't move my body no more. My vision was blurred yet I could see a shadow swimming toward me. It held out its hand.
I used all my strength to reach out and grab it tightly. Once I did, the shadow pulled me out of the water as we landed on a ship.
I was still choking and I still couldn't breathe no more. The shadow stroked my cheek and mumbled a few words.
But as my vision darkened and the storm faded away, the shadow whispered in my ear.
"I missed you."
