The sun guards the day.

It shines bright at times

but covers itself for the 

good of the land.

-

Even as the day turns into night

the sun still protects.

We have a Flawed 

sun-reflecting orb in its place.

-

We know it as the moon.

The sun sends out the moon

to look after the land.

It reassures, reconnects,

enlightens, and inspires.

-

It is Flawed and yet it 

hangs with other stars.

It has been effected by life

and the sun just like we have.

- 

It has failed to be on time,

to show up, to be there

at times and will continue to

do so, just like us humans.

-

The sun's trust in the moon

Never falters even when it

messes up and grows craters

of faults.

-

No matter who or what your 

sun is, there will be a moon

to support you when it is night

and even if they aren't, hold on.

(I truly made this one thinking of the sun and the moon as a message to those who may have it rough right now. The ones who are tired of being in a dark place and truly need someone to be there for them. I hope you liked it. This summer I'm trying to improve on my writing skills.
