What happens when the devil can't lure it's prey?

It's sweet words have no effect to it's meal?

Words that are supposed to be as honey

Are as plain as water...

It grows hungry, weary, desperate

Then it stops trying....

It decides it's not worth it anymore

To try if they're never lured...

It dies off from hunger...

Fading away into nothing...
