Once upon a time, there was a prince who lived in a castle. The prince was very handsome and loved the life of living in a place. But there was a consequence for living such a glamorous life; the price was spoiled, cold-hearted, and selfish. One night, an old begger knocked on the castle's door and offered a single red rose in return for shelter from the storm outside. The prince was discussed by the woman's appearance and turned her down. The old begger warned him to not judge one from their appearance, yet he still turned her down. The old woman suddenly transformed revealing herself to actually be an enchantress of extreme beauty. The prince begged for mercy, but it was too late. The enchantress saw that there was no love in his heart and placed curse of him causing him to turn into a horrifying beast. The prince's servants were also cursed and turned into enchanted objects and animals. The enchantress left the prince with the rose, an enchanted mirror, and a warning. She said that if the prince couldn't find someone to love and loved him in return before the last petal fell on the rose, the spell would be permanent. The prince lavished out and locked himself in his room ashamed of his appearance. He had been a prince with jet black hair and bright blue eyes. He was the most stunning figure, but was turned into a mutant turtle with sharp fangs and claws. The one who was once known as Prince Midnight, was turned into a horrible beast. The prince had until his 21st birthday to find love, but as time went on, things began to seem hopeless. After all, who could learn to love a beast?

     Many years later, a young woman named Macrafta was making her way into town. She was going to the bookshop to borrow a new book. But Macrafta had always been different from everyone else. She wanted adventure and life outside of what the village did. She never quite fit in either, it was as the people said, she was a beauty but a funny girl. She could never really talk to anyone in the town, but one man, had his heart set on her. Ulric was the most handsome wolf in her village and had a lot of fans, but his heart was set on marrying Macrafta even though she didn't feel the same. Her father, Connor, was an inventor and had a dream of being a world famous inventor. One day, he finally made a woodcutting machine and headed  for the inventor's festival with their Loftwing, Skylinea. Unfortunately, he got lost and separated from Skylinea and was chased by some rabid Shadow Wolves. He eventually came across a giant castle and entered it. He soon realized that the castle was run by enchanted objects who sat him in front of a fire in a giant chair and wrapped him in a blanket to warm him up. Unfortunately,  the master of the castle found out and threw him into the cold, dark dungeon for trespassing. By this time, Skylinea had made it back to the house where Macrafta was. She had just avoided getting married to Ulric and was sitting in the field outside the house. When she saw that Skylinea had returned with out her father, Macrafta immediately went out to find him; after a while, she found the castle and entered it. She soon found Connor in the dungeon of the castle who was very ill. He told her to leave but the beast showed up behind her demanding to know why she was there. Macrafta told him she was there for her father and begged for him to release Connor saying was dying where he was. The beast simply replied with, "Then he shouldn't have trespassed." Macrafta was desperate to free her father and would do anything to save him; so she did something she never thought she'd ever do, she offered to take his place. The beast sneered while turning his back for a moment, but his expression softened, "You would......take his place?" he asked. Despite her father's warnings, Macrafta said, "If I do.....would you let him go?" the beast nodded but told her that she'd have to stay in the castle forever. Her brow raised from not being able to see him in the darkness, "Come into the light." She said to him. The beast hesitated, but slowly moved into the light to reveal himself as a ginormous mutant turtle with fangs and sharp claws; he wore a black bandanna and had bright, piercing, baby blue eyes. Macrafta gasped and backed against the cell door before turning to hold her father's hands through the cell bars. Connor told her that he wouldn't let her give up her freedom for his, but she didn't listen and gave the beast her word. He then dragged Connor out of the castle before Macrafta could say goodbye to him and threw him in a self moving carriage and demanded for him to be taken back to the village. He returned to the dungeon to see Macrafta crying into her knees, "I didn't even get to say goodbye to him." She said to him. His back was turned but he told her with a softer expression, "I'll show you to your room." He took her to a room that was already prepared. His servant Sabrina, who was a candle holder and a hedgehog, urged him to invite Macrafta to dinner. Unfortunately, the beast didn't know manners too well and demanded that she joined him for dinner before slamming her door closed. Macrafta then flopped on her bed crying and refused to go to dinner. This didn't go over too well for the beast, he stormed to his room after arguing with him through her door. He used the mirror to see her talking to the royal dresser Rebekah who was a mutant turtle lizard. Rebekah tried to reason with Macrafta saying that the beast wasn't so bad if she got to know him but Macrafta said she didn't want to get to know him or have anything to do with him. The beast realized that there was no hope for him to earn her love. Eventually, Macrafta sneaked out and met more of the servants such as: Glassandra and her brothers Cuphead and Mugman who were cup people, Amy who was the one who ran everything and was a Lego, the castle dog that was turned into an automaton named Moon, and a lot of other servants. Since she was hungry, the servants all served her dinner with a show and made her entertained. Afterwards, Sabrina and Amy gave Macrafta a tour with Moon following. Though, she snuck away to explore the west wing, even though the beast specifically told her not to. Inside the west wing, Macrafta saw the beasts ransacked room and then saw the rose the enchantress left behind. Curious, she approached it and went to touch it, but the beast appeared and scared her out. Macrafta was desperate to escape and left as fast as she could on Skylinea and rushed into the forest. It wasn't long before she was attacked by rabid Shadow Wolves and she was about to be killed when the beast showed up and fought them off. But it came with a price, he was injured and passed out into the snow; Macrafta was about to jump on Skylinea and take off, but she realized that she couldn't leave the beast behind to die after saving her life. So she walked back over and covered him in her cloak before putting him on Skylinea's back. She took him back to the castle and mended his wounds and got to know him a bit better. 

     Meanwhile, Connor was back in town and was trying to get people to help him save Macrafta, but everyone just called him crazy, which gave Ulric an idea. He made arrangements for Connor to be thrown into the insane asylum if Macrafta refused to marry him. However, the plan got a slight back track when Connor left on his own to find his daughter. Ulric left his "henchman" Brute the troll at the house to inform the asylum when they returned. Back at the castle, the beast and Macrafta had grown quite close and they were about to have a sort of date and dance. The beast was determined but reluctant to tell Macrafta his feelings; soon, the date started. Macrafta came down the grand staircase wearing a turquoise, floor-length dress and had her hair done into a half bun, and the beast came down in a black suit. They ate dinner and then began to dance together in the grand ballroom; they had never looked or felt so close. They both went out to the balcony where the beast asked Macrafta if she was happy with him. She nodded but said how she wished to see her father one more time because she missed him terribly. The beast then told her that there was and took her to the west wing. He showed her the mirror and told her it would show her anything she wanted. She asked to see her father and it showed her Connor in the forest, freezing and extremely ill. She gasped in horror, "Papa!" She exclaimed. "He's sick! And he may be dying! And he's all alone!" The beast had his back turned while listening looking at the almost completely wilted rose. With a great amount of hesitation, he told Macrafta that she had to her father and that she was no longer his prisoner. She gave him a heartfelt thank you and left the castle; she found Connor in the forest and took him home. Unfortunately, she didn't notice Brute, who immediately went and alerted Ulric and the asylum. Once Connor woke up, Macrafta explained that the beast had a change of heart and had released her. Suddenly, her bag began to move, and out fell Glassandra in her cup form, "A stowaway." Macrafta said while giggling. Glassandra went into her human cup form and asked Macrafta why she left. Macrafta tried to explain but there was suddenly a knock on the door; when she opened it, she saw the asylum owner, "Can I.....help you?" She asked. He explained that he was there for her father and Macrafta saw the asylum carriage and the towns people holding torches and pitchforks. Macrafta said her father wasn't crazy but they didn't listen and began to take him away. Thinking quickly, Macrafta showed everyone the mirror with the beast's image in it, when she explained how he was kind and gentle, Ulric saw that she had feeling for the beast and locked her and her father into their basement while making others go with him to kill the beast. Luckily, Glassandra managed to get Macrafta and Connor out by using the woodcutting machine that Connor had made. Macrafta, Glassandra, and Connor jumped on Skylinea and rushed to the castle. 

     Meanwhile, the servants had taken care of most of the invaders from the village and scared them off. However, Ulric was on the roof with the Beast and was about to finish him off because the beast was too heartbroken to fight back. "NO! ULRIC DON'T!" Macrafta shouted which caught the Beast's attention. Just as Ulric was about to finish him off, he fought back and Macrafta ran towards the West Wing which was close to where they were. Upon arriving, Macrafta saw the Beast put Ulric down and told him to get out, "Beast!" she called out. He turned and looked at her, "Macrafta."  he slowly climbed the roof back up to her and put a hand on the side of her face, "You came back." She melted into the feeling and put one hand over his. Suddenly, the beast let out a loud yell in pain for Ulric had climbed up behind him and stabbed him in the side; unfortunately, Ulric lost his footing and fell to his death. Macrafta had grabbed the beast by the collar and pulled him up onto the balcony. The beast was slowly dying and said he was glad he was able to see her one last time before he took his final breath. Macrafta gasped in horror and began to weep into his chest, "N-no.......please......I love you....." she said just before the final petal fell off the enchanted rose. Suddenly, mist surrounded the beast and he was lifted off the ground while his body began to glow. And right before her very eyes; the beast transformed back into Prince Midnight. He fell to the ground and stirred; he stood up and looked at himself before turning to Macafta smiling. "Mac, it's me!" He said taking her hands; she knew it was him when she looked into his bright blue eyes. "It IS you!" She exclaimed and he put a hand on her face while slowly leaning in. Then, they shared their first true love's kiss, breaking the spell all over the castle. All the servants turned back to normal and everyone was happy again. Prince Midnight made Macrafta the princess of the castle and they all lived happily ever after.
