1776

So I highly doubt a lot of people know about this musical but that's what I wanted to talk about it so more people would know about it and love it! There aren't a lot of spoilers for this one since it's a historical musical and based on real events!

~~~~~~~
I was introduced to this musical last year when we watched it in History class. It follows the story of many of The Founding Fathers and how America gained its Independence! I have not seen any other version but the movie but the movie is so perfect it doesn't matter haha. Also for all you Hamilton fans he's sadly not in it! It's mostly about John Adams Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.
~~~~~~~

Favorite Character: This may be the hardest decision I've ever made. I'm going to go with Thomas Jefferson. He's one of my favorite Presidents and he's so sweet in this musical! I love his humble quiet personality! But I really love John Adams too! He's obnoxious and disliked and that cannot be denied! And oh my gosh Benjamin Franklin is so funny and conceited it's so entertaining!

Least Favorite Character: No one. I literally love every character!

Favorite Song: Again super hard so I'll just list a few I like. "The Lees of Old Virginia" I swear this is the funniest most fun song ever. It's perfectLEE charming and amazingLEE accurate! "But Mr.Adams" Again, this song is so funny and catchy and soooo fun to sing along to especially with friends! My friends and I sing it alllll the time and it always ends in us laughing our heads off! "He Plays the Violin" Martha Jefferson is perfect. She's so amazing and the song is so danceable! I always end up waltzing in my room...by myself of course...but still! And lastly out of the huge list "The Egg" So, in this song Adams, Franklin, and Jefferson decide what the national bird should be. It is the most hilarious thing to ever exist in the universe.

Least Favorite Song: umm none I don't think.

Historical Accuracy: What I love about 1776 is that it's pretty historically accurate! It's told through a very non objective point of view so it shows the faults and the gains of how the Declaration was written and the people who were involved. It shows the ins and outs of the Continental Congress and how they truly didn't always get along. It's amazing!
