"(Y/n)" I heard the familiar voice that made me cry all those years ago. "Daddy," I said looking through the darkness trying to find him. I felt arms around me as the darkness was overcome by light. My eyes met with the warm safe brown eyes of my father. I hugged him tightly letting loud sobs escape my mouth. He shushed me while holding me protectively. "I missed you so much," I said in between breaths as my cries became quieter. "I know but I have to warn you about something ...... someone important," My father said pulling away from the tight embrace while looking me in the eyes. "What is it," I asked as he gripped my hands tightly. "Caesar's wife is-" He started to say as his figure slowly started to fade away like dust. "Wait no!" I yelled into the darkness. 

I quickly jerked up from my bed gasping for air as hot tears stained my face. 'What was he trying to tell me' I thought as I calmed myself down catching my breath. After a few minutes, I shook off the dream and started to get ready for the day. I searched through my backpack in need of clothes and a fresh pair of undergarments. "I wonder if I could take a quick bath in the river" I whispered to myself as I stepped outside of my hut. I took a deep breathe of the moist air around me as my muscles seemed to relax a little. 

Not many apes were up yet just a few children and elders happened to be wandering around. I saw Maurice sitting outside his hut just admiring the morning sky. I smiled up at the wise orangutan as I made my way to the entrance of the village. Of course, I was greeted by the same early rising ape that guards the entrance, also known as Luca. "Hey big guy," I said waving with a small smile. He grunted and gave me a nod in response. He looked down at the clothes in my hands in confusion. "Leaving" he grunted out in a low but loud enough voice. 

"Oh no, just gonna wash up," I said shaking my head giggling at the fact that he thought I was leaving. "Oh," he simply said moving out of the way for me to pass. "Be back before breakfast," he said patting my shoulder as I nodded. 

Time Skip~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Finally," I said approaching the sparkling river. I quickly stripped of my clothing and stepped in wanting to get this over quickly. The water was cold and went up to my neck but I didn't care. I ran my hands through my hair trying to making it less greasy. I felt like someone was watching me but I just shook it off and continued to clean myself. 

When I was done I swam over to my clothes that I sat by a nearby tree. I stepped out letting the cold air hit my body causing me to shiver. I quickly rung out my hair and threw on my clothes. As I gathered my dirty clothes I heard rustling in the bushes making the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I slowly turned around to see little green eyes staring back at me. I froze in my tracks trying to think of the best way to escape whatever was behind the bush. 

Soon a small black figure jumped from behind the bush making a little yelp. I let out a scream and stumbled back. I soon realized that the small figure was Haze. My eyes widened in disbelief as the little ape jumped around victoriously. "Haze why are you out here by yourself," I asked getting on my feet as Haze jumped into my arms. Of course, he couldn't talk or sign so I didn't exactly get an answer. I just shook my head and picked up my things getting ready to head back to the colony. "Come on haze it's time to go. I'm pretty sure your moms worried sick" I said as Haze hooted while making his way onto my back. 

The walk back home was somewhat interesting due to Haze hoping off my back and doing little silly tricks that made me giggle. "You're just like your dad maybe worse," I said smiling thinking about how playful Caesar was when my dad brought him home. I smiled more as I remembered the night my dad brought him from the lab. He was so small and fragile compared to the big and brave leader he had become. 

When we arrived back at the colony, me and Haze were greeted by the adorable hoots and small screeches from Haze's little friends. I couldn't help but laugh as I watched them roll around and play. "They're so cute," I said with a wide smile. "Indeed they are" I heard a soft voice from behind me say. I quickly turned around slightly startled by the voice. My eyes met with beautiful glowing green ones that seemed to have a slight glint of happiness. 

"Oh good morning Cornelia," I said hugging her lightly with one arm. "Good morning" she signed looking at the children play. "Blue eyes awoke this morning" Cornelia signed causing me to go wide-eyed at the news. "Really can I see him," I asked eagerly standing up. "He asked to see you" she signed as I smiled widely. Without saying another word I sprinted as fast as I could to the Blue eyes was in. 

When I made it outside the hut I stopped at the sudden sound of voices. "Beautiful girl" I heard an unknown voice say causing me to start eavesdropping. 'Who are they talking about?'  I thought to myself as I listened for more voices. "Yes indeed," Another voice said, but this one I recognized........ Caesar. "She would make a wonderful mate," The third voice said. 'Ok, what the hell is going on?'  Without thinking I barged into the hut gaining attention from the three apes sitting in front of me. The room included Koba, Caesar, and Blue Eyes all who looked a bit flustered by my appearance. "Blue Eyes your ok," I said hugging him as if I didn't hear their previous conversation. 

As I was hugging Blue eyes I could feel Koba staring at the both of us as if we had done something wrong. "Good morning Caesar, Koba," I said with a smile gesturing towards the two. As always I was welcomed with a warm smile from Caesar but a snarl from Koba. 

'Why does he act like he hates me so much?' 

I could sense the tension and I could tell Caesar could too. "Shouldn't she be playing with the children"  Koba signed in a smoby manner. "Shouldn't you be kissing someone's ass" I responded while putting my hand on my hip. I heard laughter from Blue Eyes as Koba stood in a surprised manner. 

Caesar rolled his eyes at our childish behavior as a smirk found its way onto my face. "Don't fire shots if you can't revive yourself," I said in a sassy tone as I exited the hut while doing a dramatic hair flip.

Ceasar's POV: 

After Y/n dramatically exited the hut Koba soon followed after leaving me and my son to talk. "So how are you and Lake," I asked getting my sons attention. "Were good I guess" Blue Eyes signed unsure of his answer. "Ah so there's someone else in mind,"  I said nudging him in a playful manner causing him to smile a bit, "So who is it?"
