(Y/n) POV:

After breakfast, Blue eyes and Caesar decided it would be best to show me the hunting ways of the tribe. Two other apes joined us as well. Ash who had seemed to be Blue eyes best friend and his father Rocket. "Use this" Ash signed while handing me a grey sharp spear. I thanked him before following them deeper into the woods. They rode on horses but I had made the decision to walk. "Why to walk," Caesar said breaking the silence. "Better to stretch my legs" I replied while shrugging my shoulders. Caesar shook his head as another silence fell over us but it was a comfortable one.

"Stop," Caesar said as he climbed off his horse tying it to a nearby tree. Rocket, Ash, and Blue Eyes did the same as we followed Caesar deeper into the woods on foot. "Ash and Rocket take the far left of the forest. Y/n and Blue come with me" Caesar signed as we all obeyed. We went our separate ways as we searched for deer and possibly other animals. "Stay" Caesar signed as we stood behind a tree. Caesar seemed to be examining some claw marks made on a tree. "They're fresh," I said startling him a bit. He only shook his head in agreement and kept looking.

"Wait where's Blue Eyes," I said just as a loud roar followed by screeching echoed throughout the forest. Me and Caesar turned to see Blue Eyes being attacked by a bear. Without hesitation, Caesar jumped into action aiming his spear in the center of the raging bears back. Before the spear got close enough the bear turned around whipping Caesar into a nearby tree. "Caesar!!" I yelled out in fear. I quickly rushed down to gain the bear's attention. I dodged the bear's attacks as I got ready to make my own. As I got ready to place an attack the bear fell to my feet...... lifeless.

"What the-" I said kicking the bear with my foot making sure it was completely dead. I looked up confused only to meet with Koba's terrifying eyes. "Thanks," I said giving him a sheepish smile as he only turned away. Before I could question him I see Blue eyes injured from the corner of my eye. "Oh no" I whisper-shouted rushing over to him. He struggled to pick himself up off the ground while letting out grunts of pain.

"Are you ok?" I said helping him sit up. He looked up at me with heavy eyelids and coughed up a little blood. His eyes started shutting as I started to panic. Caesar and the others rushed over to me so they could tend to Blue eyes. "Are you ok" Rocket signed as he checked my face and arms for injuries. "Yes I'm fine," I said smiling at his concern. After making sure I was ok Rocket and Caesar hoisted Blue eyes onto a horse.

"We must get him to the oba's," Caesar said as we quickly made our way back to the safety of the colony. As we made it back we were gathered by a few apes who looked confused and had questions. Rocket went to go get the oba's, whatever those were. We started to carry Blue eyes up the spiral steps that lead to the huts. We set him on a leaf pile bed in an empty hut. Caesar kneeled down to his sons level and looked over him in concern.

"He's gonna be fine," I said placing my hand on Caesar's shoulder. He looked up at me with doubtful eyes. "Don't worry he's strong like his father," I said smirking a little as Caesar returned the gesture. "You need rest Y/n," Caesar said as I hummed in agreement. I slowly walked out of the hut and started to make my way towards mine.

On my way, I saw Koba talking to Maurice and Rocket although Koba didn't look happy. "Hey guys," I said realizing how tired I really was. "Hello Y/n" Maurice signed as Rocket gave me a friendly nod. Koba, on the other hand, didn't say a word. He just sat there not even bothering to look at me. "I just wanted to say goodnight," I said looking towards my hut. "You're not going to eat dinner" Rocket signed giving me a questioning glare. "Eh not hungry," I said shrugging my shoulders and heading to my hut.

When I made it inside my hut I started to change from my day clothes into a t-shirt and shorts. While I changed I couldn't help the fact that I thought I was being watched. I shook off the feeling as I put my (h/l) (h/c) into a ponytail and got in bed. I soon let the darkness consume me as my eyelids grew heavy.
