(Y/n) POV:

The next morning I woke up from the best sleep I had in years. I decided to stretch my legs and go for a climb in the woods outside the tribe area. I quickly put my hair in a ponytail while stepping outside the hut. I walked through the colony of apes earning a lot of stares and hoots. I ignored them as I made my way to the entrance of the colony. I was stopped by a gorilla who was guarding the entrance. "Where are you going this early" he signed while looking down at me like a child. "That's for me to know and you to find out," I said poking him in his chest and continuing my journey.

I walked through the forest until I found a good stable tree for climbing. I ended up finding a wide tree with strong enough branches to support my weight. I started to climb the large tree eager to get to the very top. As I was climbing I couldn't help but think of all the times I climbed trees with Caesar when I was younger. He was the one who taught me how to climb in the first place. When I made it to the top a sat on a branch enjoying the silence.

I could hear the rushing waterfall that was just a few miles from here and I could feel the breeze blowing through my (H/l) (h/c). 'I should probably get back now' I thought to myself as I jumped from branch to branch on my way down from the tree. On my way back I decided to make the queen a nice gift, feeling that it was the respectable thing to do. I gathered up some beautiful purple Orchids while attaching them together to make a nice crown. I smiled proud of my finished work.

I quickly got to my feet and ran the rest of the way to the colony. When I made it to the entrance I was greeted by the same gorilla as before but I made it past him before he could ask me any questions. When I walked into Caesar's hut the only person I found was Blue eyes. "Where is everyone," I asked startling Blue eyes a little before he turned to meet my gaze. "Breakfast" he signed before pointing to the flower crown in my hands. "What's that for" he signed again looking at me curiously.

"It's for your mother can you take me to her," I said asked looking at Blue eyes as he began leading me out of the hut. We walked down from the hut to a group of apes sitting throughout the colony eating fruits and meat cooked on the fire. Blue eyes took me over to his family where I was greeted by little Haze grabbing on my leg.

I smiled while I gently set the flower crown on the queens head. She looked at me with a confused expression before examining the crown with her fingers. "Thank you" she signed giving me a small smile. 

"You need to eat" Caesar signed while handing me a stone plate with lots of berries on it. "Thank you," I said before starting to eat. While I was eating Haze sat on my shoulder playing in my hair with his little hands. I chuckled when he fell off my shoulder landing on my lap giggling. I played with Haze until I felt like I was being watched.

I looked around at the various types of apes until I saw the one named Koba eyeing me in a weird way. He seemed to be examining me but not like the other apes were, he was giving me a different type of look. His eyes stared right into mine as I quickly turned the other direction with fear and confusion. Why is Koba looking at me that way?
