(Y/n) POV:

I can't believe it's him. After all these years Caesar was here all along. I slowly got up from where I was while walking over to Caesar. Caesar and the orange orangutan stepped forward greeting me kindly. "You know this human" the orangutan signed to Caesar getting a nod in response. Caesar turned to me and gave me a smile causing tears of joy to come to roll down my cheeks. I finally felt like I wasn't the only one left of our family.

Caesar turned around to face Malcolm and the group with a serious face. "HUMANS GO" he shouted taking me and the other humans by surprise. "Ok Ok were leaving," Malcolm said gesturing for me to follow. I started to walk over to the group until someone grabbed my wrist pulling me back. I looked back to see that Caesar was the one who was pulling me. "Caesar what are you doing" I whispered to him slightly. "This one stays" Caesar announced as most of the apes hooted in disapproval and surprise.

Malcolm looked at me scared and confused. "I'll be fine," I said as Malcolm and the group disappeared into the trees. "Come," Caesar said leading me in the other direction into the woods. As we walked I could feel lots of eyes staring at me like I was a piece of meat.

When we made it to our destination I was amazed at the sight before me. "Wow," I said looking around seeing lots of apes of all shapes and sizes. I heard Caesar chuckle as all the other apes went their separate ways. I felt a tap on my shoulder only to turn and meet the orange orangutan's gaze. "Names Maurice" he signed making a little hoot noise in the process. "Nice to meet you I'm (Y/n)" I signed back with a smile. He only nodded before walking over to a group of baby chimps as they all happily greeted him.

"(Y/n)"' I heard Caesar say getting my attention. "Apes. To. Meet" he said as I understood perfectly. He guided me up to a huge hut which I was assuming belonged to him. When we entered I saw a female ape and two male apes, one being a baby and the other being the ape with the blue eyes. "This is my family" Caesar signed while wearing a proud smile. "Blue eyes. Haze. Cornelia." He spoke while pointing to each ape.

I smiled lightly as my mixed emotions of happiness and sadness washed over me. 'He has another family now' I thought to myself as I felt my eyes sting with tears. "Hi I'm (Y/n)" I said waving shyly. The little baby chimp, Haze, slowly walked towards me starting to climb my leg like a tree. When he reached my shoulder he lost his balance falling into my arms causing me to giggle. He sat there in my arms while examining my face before clapping his hands and making little-hooting noises.

I heard a low grunt come from Cornelia as her son turned to look at her sadly. "Time for bed little one" Cornelia signed as her baby made a winning noise before going over to his mother. "You have a beautiful family Caesar," I said smiling at him. "Which includes you old friend" Caesar signed causing me to smile brightly. "You look tired" Blue eyes signed looking up at me just as I yawned. "Long trip" I signed back feeling my eyes become heavy. "Follow. Me" Caesar said leading me out of the hut.

We didn't walk for long until Caesar took me to a hut not so far from his own. "Sleep. Here. Tonight" he said with his rough voice. "Thank you," I said getting a smile and a nod in reply from Caesar before he left. I took time to examine the room seeing a comfortable moss bed in the corner of the room. The room was dimly lighted with a few lanterns hanging from the ceiling.

I yawned once more before walking over to the moss bed making myself comfortable and letting the darkness consume me.
