(Y/n) POV:

"Dad........Daddy, please wake up," I said as tears ran down my face, "You can't leave me."

Those were the last words I said to my father before he died right in front of me. It felt like the memory had been tattooed into my brain. I had nowhere to go, there were only a few survivors left in the city. Today I was going on a trip with a very small group of people to the Red Woods. A man named Malcolm was the leader of our group but he didn't act like the leader type. He was kind and a little laid back. He had a son named Alex who I had made very close friends with. Ellie was the only other girl on the team and she was married to Malcolm. I had to admit they made a pretty cute family.

"(Y/n) are you ok" Alex said making me loose my train of thought "Yea I'm fine just thinking," I said realizing we had made it to our destination. I quickly got out of the Jeep while grabbing my supplies. When everyone was ready we began to walk through the forest in search of other people who might have survived the virus. Everyone had a partner but the only bad thing about this was my partner was Carver. Carver would always flirt and try to touch me in certain places. I kinda learned how to tune him out at most times but that never stopped him from trying.

After about a couple of minutes I heard Carver yell then I heard a gunshot. I quickly turned around to see Carver face to face with two apes but one of the apes were laying down injured. "CARVER STOP" I yelled as I ran over to the two apes trying to protect them. "(Y/n) move now" Carver said pushing me out of the way while he got ready to take another shot.

I got up as soon as he pulled the trigger while putting my hand in front of the gun. "Ahhhh" I yelled in pain as I felt the bullet go through the palm of my hand. "CAVER" Malcolm yelled getting Carver's attention. I fell to the ground holding my hand in pain. Ellie rushed to my side and started to patch my wound. As soon as she wrapped my hand I jumped up to go help the injured ape. When I tried to help, the other ape snarled and growled at me slightly causing me to back away falling on my butt in the process. I just stared at the ape as he hovered over his friend protecting him from Carver.

I couldn't help but notice the scratch that went from his right shoulder to the center of his chest. He also had those beautiful baby blue eyes my father had. I heard the trees rustling loudly as I watched the leaves fiercely fall from the trees. Soon nearly a whole tribe of apes appeared and they didn't look happy. "Shit," I said to myself as I watched as the apes got closer while they made loud noises that almost scared me to death. Three apes jumped down from the trees above. The one on the left had very dark fur with a lot of scares. He had a scratch across his left eye that was glazed over, he looked very scary. The one on the right was an Orange Orangutan that looked like the kind and wise one of the tribe.

The one in the middle looked a lot like....... wait........... CAESAR! "Caesar is that you," I said as I looked into those mysterious green eyes I haven't seen in a while. He only looked down at me like he had never known me. He suddenly came to realization of who I was.
