BEACON HILLS WAS MORE THAN JUST A TOWN. It was a mining community. Most families relied on the work that they did at the Gomez Mines. It kept food on their tables and a roof over their heads. But when an explosion collapsed one of the tunnels in the summer of 2010, some families weren't as fortunate as others and had lost the people that they loved. The incident rocked the entire town, and the citizens of Beacon Hills began putting the blame on the Gomez family for not ensuring the safety of their own employees. Not wanting his daughter to be around as he cleaned up what remained of their Mines and took care of the families that lost so much, Ricardo Gomez sent his only daughter, Callie, away to live with her mother in Los Angeles for a while.

The move was something that changed Callie forever. Not only was she forced to leave behind her friends and her father, but she also had to say goodbye to her first serious relationship with Stiles Stilinski. The teenagers tried to keep their relationship strong with numerous video calls, text messages, and care packages. But it grew harder for them both with each passing day. Eventually, Callie was left with no other option than to end things with Stiles Stilinski so that they both could attempt to move on from something that would never be the same again.

In the years that followed, Callie remained in Los Angeles with her mother while Stiles and the Pack endured whatever supernatural disturbance came their way. She grew up to become a homicide detective, and Noah Stilinski handed the torch down to his son, who become the new Sheriff of Beacon Hills. But no matter who they grew up to be and no matter how much time had went by, there were still times that they would think of each other. They were lovesick, filled with longing, and yet, neither of them ever contacted each other again after their break-up.

But when Callie's father dies, the Mines are left to her. So, the woman returns to Beacon Hills with intentions to sell mines after all the incidents which occurred over the years since she moved away, as she didn't want anything to do with them anymore. She was hoping that she wouldn't run into her ex-boyfriend, that she could just sell the Mines and go back home, but when a string of murders begin to turn Valentine's Day into a horror show, Callie Gomez is left with no other choice but to team up with Sheriff Stiles Stilinski and put an end to the copycat killer that is seemingly following in the footsteps of the infamous slasher film, My Bloody Valentine.

Little does she know that the blood being spilt is entirely in the fault of herself.

author's note: hello hello and welcome to yet another teen wolf fic that i'm writing bc i have no self control lmao 🥴 this fic in particular is incredibly special to me for many reasons, the first being my deep-rooted love for horror movies and the fact that i've based the plot off of one of my personal favourites, my bloody valentine (as if that wasn't already obvious lol). the other reasons are ofc due to the fact that this fic is set post-series and that i've dedicated some characters to my two watty friends pseudonym-lux and void-daniella bc without them, i wouldn't have started watching teen wolf and you wouldn't be reading this fic right now

but before we get to those characters, you should know that this story is heavily au-based. think of it as a what-if kind of situation. what if allison never died and she grew up to marry scott? what if everything ended after season four? which means seasons five and six + the movie are NOT canon. why? well, bc i said so. what if stiles become sheriff because noah was forced to retire due to health reasons? what if stiles solves a murder with his ex-girlfriend and the killer is copying a horror movie? i can go on and on but i think you get the picture here. anyways, now on onto those character cameos!

mia gajos is based on the character mia stilinski from sciamachy. in that fic, she is the twin sister of stiles and the love interest of both isaac and scott. but for the purpose of this story, she has been renamed and repurposed as the cousin of stiles, and she won't have a love interest either. but she is callie's longest friend so her breaking up with stiles (her besties cousin) definitely made things awkward for a little while. as for selena barnes, she is based on the character of the same name from aurora. in that fic, she is a witch and the love interest of stiles. but for the purpose of this story, she isn't dating stiles and she was never a witch, she's just someone they knew in high school. both characters and fics are written by void-daniella and you should definitely check them out!

beth collins is based on the character of the same name from starry-eyed. in that fic, she is the love interest of isaac, and she still is even in this one bc he deserves all the love. she's a deputy at the station and isaac is their werewolf consultant if cases are suspicious and they need help, as seen in the movie with noah and derek. as for alexis alvarez, she is based on the character of the same name from weird girl. in that fic, she is always saying fun facts at random and is the love interest of liam. neither of those things have changed in this fic. both characters and fics are written by pseudonym-lux and you should definitely check them out!

and lastly, joel pelletier and aubrey everdeen are my own characters, who are also making a cameo in this fic! joel is from my lydia fic and aubrey is from my malia fic. but for the purpose of this story, their characters have been slightly altered. aubrey is still a vampire and dating malia, but joel isn't with lydia because there's just no room for that relationship in this fic tbh
