From the author: Rosamund is the second character I have written about (after Elisabet Haraldsdotter) that's been related to a canonical character. She was the older sister of Sage, a canonical lover of Finn Mikaelson.

 Writing a story where the OC's love interest is kind of dating said OC's sister was a bit tricky. I tried to be fair to Sage, and showed that Finn genuinely cared about her. But he and Rosamund were more alike than he and Sage, and I think if Finn had met Rosamund first, he wouldn't have been as interested in Sage.

 Rosamund knew it was wrong of her to fall in love with her sister's lover, but she still did. Once she had fallen for Finn, she didn't feel bad about it. But Sage was furious when she discovered it, and that made Rosamund feel genuinely guilty. She wouldn't regret loving him, but she felt selfish in the end for hurting her sister so badly.
