Star pov

I was withering in my spot as I watched my mother make more weird things for me to drink. I just wanted Marco. His sweet scent just makes me go towards him and take him right there. I really want him so bad but I need to stop cause this isn't okay. After the few days I left my scales and even hearts started to show on my skin. It was becoming painful. "Mom can I just go to Marco? He can help me with this." Mother looked at me and shook her head. "Absolutely not! Star you aren't thinking clearly. If you go see him you'll freak him out and you'll make him mate with you and cause you to have babies. No. End of discussion." I hissed at her as I scratched my arms and face. "How did you get through this?" She looks down at her hands and sighs.

"Your father helped me. But it was in our mermaid forms." I blushed embarrassed at the thought that shot in my head. "Okay but how is Marco different?" "Star he is a human. You aren't a human sweetie. Your affect on him will just be mindless slave to you for your desire. How is that fair to him when he won't remember it?" I pout. "Mom I've been like this for almost a week. I'm in pain. The remedies aren't working. Let me go to Marco so I can get this over with. My body is telling me to go to him. I want my body to be normal again. Please!" I say as tears welled up in my eyes. "Please. Let me go to him. I'll talk to him about this. I won't use any mermaid powers on him. I wouldn't do that to him. I love him mom. He understands me and cares a lot about me. Please let me go." I begged as mother gave me a look. She sighs as she hands me another drink. She's not letting me go. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Take this. This prevents having babies. Go to him. But please make him be safe with you since I'm not 100 percent sure this would work." I smiled and took the drink as I rushed back home as I walked up the beach Marco's house was in sight. I felt my heart start to beat. It's been awhile since I've seen him. I wonder if he would still see me and not a monster.

I entered from the back without anyone noticing. I saw marco in the living room watching tv as I tipped toe up the stairs without a sound. As I found Marco's room I felt a bit relieved that his scent was helping a bit. I needed this from the beginning. As I crawled onto his bed I started to smell his blanket and pillows. It felt nice and calm. As I heard footsteps I waited patiently for his arrival. As his door opened he gasped as he saw me. I hope he doesn't run away from me. "Star? Is that you?" I nodded as he quickly rushed towards the bed getting a closer look. I pulled him closer as our lips collided in a messy way. I've craved for his touch. I wanted him all over me. His scent had my head swimming. God can we move this along? "Marco..I need your help..ah" i withered a bit as i held his shirt as he was breathless. "Uh..with w-what?" He asked worried seeing my pained expression. "My body. The fever I had hasn't gone because I need something more. My mom tried everything to get rid of it but it didnt work." I groan as I hiss a bit. "I need a mate. It's the only way I could feel relieved but I'll your consent first." I said pleading him so he would help me. "M-mate? As in you know what?" I nodded feeling hot and bothered. I just needed relief. "Yes. I know you're afraid but it would be completely safe knowing the type of person you are so I trust you." I said giving him a small smile. "Just...help me..." I say sitting on his lap rubbing myself against him while kissing his neck. "Uh Star.." I looked up at him with watery eyes as he nods. "Yeah I'll help. But we need to be saf-!" I cut him off as the fun started.

I looked up at his ceiling breathing heavily as he did the same as he held his hand on his chest. "Star? You feeling better?" I nodded as I looked at him. His hair messy and face still flushed. "Yeah. So much better." I cuddled up his side as he pulled me closer. He smiled at me as we shared a quick kiss. "You look like you." I sat up as I felt my face and looked at my arms. I was back in my human form. "It worked. Thank you so much Marco." I kissed him as he chuckles. "Its alright star. You're just lucky my parents are out of town with Mariposa. If not I think we'll be in trouble." I giggled as I looked out his window. It was still dark. It can't be that late right? "Marco what time is it?" He leaned over to grab his phone and he hums. "Its 4 am. 4 am?! We have school in a few hours!" I pushed him back on the bed. "You aren't going to school. I need you to be here when I need you." He looked confused. "I thought I already helped out?" I nod. "You did but it's a process. It takes a few times for it to completely go away. I still feel warm. Soon I'll be burning." He groans a little bit. "So I'm just an object for you princess?" I blush at the pet name. Surprisingly it was a bit of a turn on. I flushed a bright red. "M-Marco call me again." I said as he raised a brow. "What again?" I sigh. "What you just said a few minutes ago." He looks at me. "Princess?" I bit my bottom lip. "Oh..I like that." He blushed as well. "Star you are really kinky and even bolder. It's kinda scary." I giggled as he smiled gently at me.

~ few days later...

I managed to shower and felt so much better and I could concentrate more. Never I have been through such pain in my life. I'm glad Marco helped me through it but I feel bad cause he missed 3 days of school for it. "I'm sorry.." I say as as I braid my hair to the side. "Its fine. I was way ahead of the class so no worries. You on the other hand have to catch up. So head home and get ready. I'll be right here." I smiled as I kissed him. He chuckles as he walked me out the door. "You promise you'll come back?" He asked and I nodded. "Absolutely." He nods as I rushed towards my place.

I felt so giggly as I entered my house and I see my mother. "Mom?" She turns and smiles as she held me closer. "You're back to normal. I didn't think a human would work? How do you feel?" I pushed her away so I can have space. "I feel great. And I told you it wasn't a bad idea. Marco was kind and gentle with me. Very patient too cause I was really demanding during it. I did ask him for consent first before anything and he agreed. No mermaid powers." Mother nods as she sighs. "Good. Now I assume he knows what we are i would like him over for dinner tonight." I gulp. "What are you going to do?" She crossed her arms. "Talk Star. Don't worry I'm not going to erase his memory or anything like that." I gave her an odd look and sigh. "Alright. You promise?" She nods "I promise."

"Wait? So your parents want to speak to me? Why?! They scare me..well your mother does..sorry." i giggled. "Marco, they just want to tell you about our secret and you cannot tell another person who we are. Thats pretty much it. My mother promised me she wouldn't erase your memory so I'm trusting her." I head his hand as he looked nervous. "Hm. Fine but I will be feeling weird cause we did things.." he blushed as i smirked. "They know. So don't worry. Also you helped me back to me. I'm happy that you did." I kissed his cheek as he smiles. "Now, let us go over my house. They've been waiting over a few minutes." He nods as we walked over to my place. As we entered my dad hugged Marco tightly. "Marco my boy! I'm glad to see you again!" Marco couldn't breathe but nodded none the less. "M-ee too!" Mom pulled him off. "River honestly. We do apologize for that Marco." He shook his head. "No worries." After eating and talking about how marco has been. Then came the obvious questions.

"So, you are aware what we are right?" He nods. "Yes. Listen i wouldn't tell a soul. I'm a man of my word. I rather die then tell anyone. Honest." Mother looked pleased. "I mistook you Marco. I've never met a human so honest before. Let alone sacrifice himself for us." I smiled as i held his hand. "Can I ask why you don't trust humans? If you are willing that is." Mother sighs. "It started when I was merely 16 years old. Around star's age. When I found him..."

(Flashback....)

'I was a very carefree mermaid. I was always wandering around collecting unique things that I got snagged on a net. I was panicking and could get free. When the net pulled up I was greeted with a human. His skin was a caramel color and his eyes were like a gold. His hair was long and messy as he stared at me in awe. I thought I was going to die but he cut the net as he backed away. I remember him saying "I mean you no harm." I immediately rushed back into the ocean but I turned back to see him there looking at me with a smile. I knew i couldn't go back because maybe he'll hurt me. Though that's what I thought i ended up again where he was camped at. He looked to be smart. He built his home from the palm trees and leaves that were around and he even made drinkable water. He was intriguing. So I decided to go onto land. I changed into my human form and walked towards his camp. When I saw him he heard a crack. I ducked and hid waiting for him to find me. As i went to check he was gone. When I sat back "hey! You're that mermaid right?" I screamed and fell down on the warm sand. "Hey! Relax i mean no harm. I'm honest!" I backed away from him. He looked to be in his early twenties and had a accent. It was strange. "Fascinating..you can turn into a human and no one would know." I was a shy person back then but I was determined. "What is your name?" I wasn't sure if I should have told him that day but I did. "Moon.." he smiled as he held out his hand. "Toffee..pleasure." we shook hands that day and after that we began to get close. I spent months maybe almost a year seeing him without my family knowing. It was a thrill. In exchange I taught him how to speak in our language as he showed me more words in English. Though one day as i was with my mother..' 'a spear pierced right through her heart as i watched in horror as blood clouded my vision as anger built inside. I cut the rope and moved my mother to another spot as i swam to the surface to find who killed my mother. As I arrived my heart sank seeing who it was. "T-toffee?" He saw my form stalking towards the land as anger radiated from me. My hair flared up as he saw me. "Uh..moon?" He pulled the rope "Whats the matter?" He went to touch me but i shoved him pretty hard he hit a palm tree. "You! You killed my mother! You monster! I thought you liked us? Why would you do that?" Toffee smirked as he cleaned himself. "You are so naive.." as he came closer his eyes changed to a bright gold. "You aren't human?" He chuckles. "I'm half. My mother was a siren. My father was a human. You see I wanted to get revenge on Comet Butterfly. You see she did an awful thing to my dear mother. Making her leave your pod. Such a rude way for a queen to act. So after my mother had me she told me all the wonderful things about the kingdom. Until she spoke about your mother. After I turned 10 my mother died cause she was poisoned. Such a horrible thing for a 10 year old boy to endure. Since then I wanted all of you Butterfly dead. Starting with the queen. I was so baffled that you came back. What made you so interested? Was it my looks and charm? Was it my intellect? What was it Moon?" I was in a Rollercoaster of emotions until I had enough of his talking and I pulled my dagger and cut his finger off. He screamed in pain as he glared at me. As i look he tried to regenerate it again but couldn't. I used a dagger that belongs to Eclipsa. Its the most dangerous thing anyone could hold. "You little wench! You have a war coming! I'll find you again. Once I do I'll take you and your future child's life!" I glared at him as i moved back into the ocean. "You can try!" I swam back to my mother who was barely there. "Mom.." i was crying as she held my face. "Moon..you go on and be queen. I believe in you." I didn't want that at all but I had no choice..

(End of flashback)

"Til this day I still have my doubts in humans. I'm trying but seeing a half-breed kill my mother in front of me I can't. So I do apologize Marco." He nods. "I totally get it. Wow." "Mom is toffee still around?" She shrugs. "I don't know if he is or not. But I'd be careful if I were you two. He still wants revenge on me for his stupid finger." I sigh as Marco looked worried. "So does he control the sirens?" My mother shrugs. "Usually its eclipsa but I'm not sure if she's still alive since she was banished." Mother doesn't know I've met and seen her awhile back. If she knew she could puninsh me. "Anyway don't fret alright. Everything is going to be fine. Just have fun being teens. Life is short or whatnot. Whatever the kids say." I giggled as Marco smirked. "I'm just happy my daughter is safe and in good hands." I smiled at her as I cuddled closer to Marco as he held me close. Hope we can stay like this for awhile...
