"Carol lets go out and sit in sun for some time. I am bit bored in here. Lets go."- Monica says.

"Monica, the boy we met yesterday, is standing right there, staring at you. I think he likes you "- Carol says.

"Carolll.... We hardly met for 270 seconds! And you think he likes me? - monica laughs

"Well,  Monica, the way he is staring at us, only one sided lovers do so"- Susan jokes.

"I don't think so Carol !
Maybe you are wrong"

"And maybe,  I am right"

I stood at a distance,  watching the girls chat, little knowing they are talking about me.

With completely unaware about their conversation,  I went up to them.

"Hey monica, Hey carol. Do you both have a minute? Can we talk ?

"Hii Jack, I saw you standing there,
So tell us, do you want Monica to take you to library this time" - Carol poke her fun at me.

I smile with embarrassment, looking at Monica, who is equally embarrassed but still smiling (like me)

"No Carol,  I dont want LIBRARY to break ice between us, but I surely would want to talk to her in a place as quiet as a library"- I reply.

"Oh good god Jack, please take her,  Talk to her. I am sure, Monica loves silent places"

"Stop it there Carol- Monica speaks. Jack, I dont want things to go wrong way,  I dont know what you have for me in your heart,  But before you say something more,  I should tell you I am already seeing someone and I am at a very happy place in my life"

An awkward silence surrounded us three. In this eerie silence, I could hear my heart break into pieces.

I left without saying a word, I didnt even look back.
And I should never look back now.
