Levi's P.O.V

I watch as Victoria's hand reaches out to grab Adam's, a small grin on her face, which basically tells everyone that she's eager to get inside and lose herself. Following behind the two, I feel Belinda's arm link with mine, making sure that I don't leave her side. I didn't plan on bringing Belinda to the party - hell, I didn't even plan on bringing myself to the party, but seeing as both of us (Belinda and I) are single, Victoria thought that it would be a great idea for the two of us to pair up and go together.

We didn't need a partner to get into the party though, but that's not what Victoria was thinking anyway. She knew her best friend was single, and she knew that I was single, so, why not pair the two single people together? Yeah, Victoria is certain that her plan for the both of us is going to work out fine for the night, but little did she know, I'm not interested in Belinda at all.

I'm interested in Victoria herself.

Of course no one knows that, and I plan on keeping it that way until I can come up with a plan to get myself out of the mess that I've brought myself into. I never planned on falling for my best friend's girlfriend, but it had just happened. Besides, it's not like Adam actually loves Victoria anyway. All he wants is for someone to please him, let him do whatever he wants without anyone telling him otherwise, and to bring him money. Not literally, of course, but you should know what I mean.

For those of you who don't know what I mean, what I'm trying to say is that Adam doesn't date. He has never been that type of guy, and I should know. I've been friends with him for three years now. And since he doesn't date, all he does is bet with people, and that's basically what Victoria is to Adam: a bet.

Of course she doesn't know that because if she did, she would be crushed, but Adam swears that Victoria will never know. But I'm beginning to doubt that very much, especially when he goes to parties and secretly sleeps with any girl he can grab.

When Adam does this to girls - place bets on how long it would take to make them give themselves to Adam - I never really cared that much. Well, of course I do, but I would never interfere with what Adam does because, well, it's none of my business. But with Victoria, it's different, and it's all because of my feelings towards her.

"Levi," Belinda says, catching my attention as her grip on my arm loosens. "Can you get me a drink?"

Nodding, I watch as Belinda pulls herself away from me. "I'll just be with Victoria." Belinda says, earning a second nod from me. Before I walk away to go and grab Belinda a drink, my eyes narrow when I see a certain blonde begin to approach Adam, who is leaning against the bar.

I shake my head, "You're skating on thin ice, Adam." I mumble to myself as I begin to walk closer to where Adam is. When the blonde, who I recognise as one of the cheerleaders at our school, sees me, she sends me a warm smile.

"Well, hello, Levi. I didn't expect to see you here." Chloe says, her white teeth biting down on her bottom lip as her eyes drop down to look me over. Feeling uncomfortable, I smile slightly before slapping Adam's shoulder lightly, grabbing his attention.

"Hey, can I speak with you for a quick second?" I ask, watching as Chloe immediately pouts her lips at Adam, obviously not wanting him to go. Adam glances over at me before looking back at Chloe, waving her off.

"I'll see you later." Adam says before flashing Chloe a small grin. I watch as Chloe giggles, her blue eyes shinning with lust as she nods, walking away from the two of us.

When Adam's eyes meet mine, I narrow my eyes at him. "You can't be flirting with girls while you're here with Vic." I say, warning my best friend. "Actually, I don't even think you should be flirting with anyone when you're with her."

Adam sighs, running a hand down his face. "Levi, we've talked about this. What I do, will never reach Victoria. That's why you're here: to make sure everything runs smoothly." Adam explains, making my eyebrows furrow.

"I'm not here to 'make sure everything runs smoothly', Adam. I'm here because your girlfriend asked me to make an appearance. So, I'm only going to tell you once: if you plan on having sex with anyone tonight, make sure to keep an eye out because I'm going to enjoy my night without having to worry about you hurting Vic." I say, walking past Adam and into the kitchen.

With my heart racing, I breathe out a sigh, closing my eyes. Calm down, Levi, you can't keep making it so obvious that you care about Victoria because if Adam finds out, he will lose his shit, my inner voice warns.

"I need a drink." I mutter, walking over to the cabinet and grabbing out two glasses - one for Belinda and one for me. After grabbing out the jug of cold water out of the fridge, I place it on the bench. I know Belinda doesn't drink, so I'm sure that she'll be just fine with water.

When I have poured both of the glasses with water, I hold them in my hand and as I exit the kitchen. Walking over to the dance floor, where both Belinda and Victoria are, I call Belinda's name. When she sees me, she makes her way over to me, grabbing the glass out of my hand.

Before Belinda can thank me though, I notice Victoria in the corner of my eye come over to us, taking the glass of water, that was supposed to be for me, out of my hand. "Oh, God! Thank you so much!" Victoria says before gulping the water.

Still stunned, I blink twice. "Uh... you're welcome?" I say, furrowing my eyebrows. When Victoria finishes the drink, she hands the glass back to me.

"You have to come dance!" Victoria shouts over the music, and her words make me shake my head with a laugh.

"No, thank you. I'd rather just sit down and eat the pizza that I saw in the - ah!" I gasp, my eyes wide as Victoria begins to drag me to the dance floor. When we reach the middle, Victoria begins to sway her hips.

Where the hell did Belinda go, I ask myself as I begin to look around. When I see her begin to dance with some guy, I can't help but grumble. Wow, the only time I want to have Belinda near me, is the only time she leaves me alone. How coincidental...

"So, how are you and Belinda going?" Victoria shouts over the music and I direct my attention back to the brunette in front of me. Repeating her words in my mind, I let out a laugh.

"Oh, we're great! She seems to be enjoying the party very well, thanks to you!" I say loudly, pointing over to where Belinda is. When Victoria sees where I'm pointing at, she let's out a laugh, her eyes closing.

"My God, I'm so sorry, Levi!" Victoria shouts as she holds her stomach. When the song begins to go quieter, telling everyone that it's nearly the end, Victoria stares up at me. "Oh, have you seen Adam around? I swear I just saw him a second ago..."

Just on cue, I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. Taking out my phone, I read the message that is surprisingly from Adam himself.

Adam:
   Thanks, man. Tell Vic that I just had to go and grab some alcohol for the party ;) I owe you.

"Is that Adam?" Victoria asks and I look up to see her brown eyes staring up at me, a small smile tilting up on her face. Looking down at my phone, I shake my head, shoving it back in my pocket.

"Nah," I reply, watching as Victoria's smile fades. "But I'm sure Adam is around somewhere." I tell Victoria, watching as she nods before walking away from me.

Ugh, Adam, you really do need to figure something out, I think to myself as I leave the dance floor to go and grab a glass of water.
