👻Ep.5: The Inconviencing👻

If you noticed, the drawing might seem a little different, and that is because I recently picked up a new art style for the eyes and nose which I think looks much better!

~~~~~~~~~Dipper's POV~~~~~~~~~
It had been a few days since the whole Gideon fiasco. (y/n), Mabel, Wendy, and I were all at the gift shop minding our own business.
I was reading a journal, when a question popped into my head.
"Girls, do you believe in ghost?"
"I believe you're a big dork!" Mabel answered before laughing. I noticed she was sitting on the spinning glob. Rolling my eyes, I pressed the end of my pencil against the globe, stopping her and making her fall off.
I then looked at (y/n) who was giving Aiden some treats. "What about you, (y/n)?"
"I don't believe in them, I know they're real." I guess knowing her, she's probably met some herself.
"Soos, Wendy, (y/n)!!!" We all looked over as Stan entered the room. Soon, (y/n), and Wendy went over to stand in front of him.
Soos panted a bit from running. "What's up Mr. Pines?!?"
Stan put on his jacket before fixing his hat. "I'm heading out, you three are gonna wash the bathrooms right?"
"Yes sir!"
"Absolutely not."
"That's disgusting." They all said one after the other with salutes.
Stan let out a chuckle before looking at them with a serious expression. "You stay out of trouble."
Once he left, I noticed Wendy and (y/n) share a smirk before turning to us, (y/n) speaking as she placed Aiden on her shoulder. "Hey guys, wanna see something cool?"
"What's this~?" Wendy walked over to a blanket, pulling it off. "A secret ladder to the roof?!?"
Soos walked over in nervousness. "Uh, I don't think Mr. Pines would like that..."
"Huh~?"
"Uh..."
"Huh~?!?"
"You're freaking me out dude!!!" We all laughed as Wendy taunted Soos who tried not to panic at her weird mind games.
I then walked over along with Mabel and (y/n). "Can we actually go up there?!?"
"Come and find out!" (y/n) was the first one to climb up the ladder. "Roof time!!! Roof time!!!"
"Roof time!!! Roof time!!!" Mabel and I chanted along with her as we followed, Wendy behind us.
Once at the room, we walked across it to where there was a small flat area, on it was a beach chair, a cooler, and even an umbrella!
"Did you guys put all this stuff up here?!?" I asked as I looked around in amazement.
"We may or may not sneak up here during work all the time everyday." Wendy took a pinecone after explaining, throwing it and hitting a target on the totem pole. "Yes!!!"
We all did the same, trying to hit the targets that were placed in different areas. I, however, have always had terrible aim and hit a parked car, activating its alarm.
I turned red in embarrassment, which soon died down as I heard Wendy speak. Jackpot!!! High five!!!"
I looked over, and I couldn't help but stare. The way her hair flew in the breeze, and how the light shined on her features. "Don't leave me hanging!!!"
I smiled, high-fiving her as she smiled back. That's when we all looked over at a honk, seeing a van stop in the parking. "Yo, Wendy!!!"
"Hey, it's my friends!" She turned to look at us with a nervous expression. "You guys won't like, tell Stan or anything, right?
"My lips are sealed!!!" Mabel said with a smile.
(y/n) smiled as well. "Go on, have fun!"
She looked at me expectingly, and I smiled as I gave her a secret sign. She smiled back, giving us a wave and jumping down some trees, entering the van which then drove away.
"Later, Wendy!!!" I let out an awkward laugh. "Good times."
"Uh-oh~!" I looked back at the girls, who gave me mischievous smirks.
"What?"
"Somebody's in love~!!!" I felt my cheeks heat up a little, but I let out a chuckle.
"Yeah right! I just think Wendy's cool, okay? It's not like I lay awake at night thinking about her."
Late that night, that same night, I was awake on my bed thinking about her.
... oh boy.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
The next day, Wendy and Mabel were by the counter as I pretended to write something down. I was nodding to myself when...
"RANDOM DANCE PARTY FOR NO REASON!!!" I was startled when Mabel suddenly yelled and turned on a boom box, both Wendy and Mabel starting to dance and cheer.
I let out a small sigh, continuing to read what I head written down.
'I'm pretending to write something down.'
I nodded at my sentence.
"Dipper!!!" I nearly dropped my clipboard, looking over. "Aren't you gonna join us?!?"
"I uh don't really dance..." I said as I walked over, giving a sheepish smile.
Mabel stopped dancing, turning off the boom box. "Yeah you do!!! Mom used to dress him up in a lamb costume and make him do The Lamby Dance...!!!"
I glared at my sister, speaking through gritted teeth. "Now is not the time to talk about the Lamby Dance...!"
"Lamb costume?!? Like with ears and a tail or-?" Wendy looked at me, clearly curious.
"Well uh-huh..."
I noticed Mabel take out a picture of me when I was younger with the costume, making me turn even redder. "Dipper would prance around and sing a song about grazing!"
She laughed as I tried to signal her to stop. Thankfully, the cuckoo clock rang, ending the conversation. "Hey look at that! Quit'n time!" Wendy said as she took off her name tag. "The gang's waiting for me."
"Hey, wait! Maybe I could- or we could come with you!" I said with an awkward smile. I've been wanting to spend some more time with Wendy recently.
She looked at us as she thought for a moment. "Ooh, I don't know, my friends are pretty intense. How old did you say you are?"
"We're thirteen, so technically a teen!" I mean, it want a complete lie, Mabel and I were turning thirteen when summer ends!
"Alright, I like your moxie kid, let me get my stuff." She gave a grin before leaving the room.
Mabel then looked at me in confusion. "Since when are we thirteen? Is this a leap year?"
"C'mon, Mabel, this is our chance to hang out with, you know, the cool kids!!!" I said with a smile, soon clearing my throat as I muttered. "And Wendy and whatever."
"I knew it, you love her!!!" She jumped down, starting to point at me as she chanted. "Love love, love love love!!!"
"Oh hey, what's that?" She looked in the direction I pointed, giving me a chance to push all her hair in her face, but she just started blowing raspberries through it.
Once outside, we saw a group of teenagers. Two of them, one had long blonde hair and light skin wearing some laid back clothing while the other had dark brown hair and dark skin with a cap along with kind of edgy clothing, were holding a shirtless chubby light skinned brunette from his legs.
At the other side was a total goth looking guy with pale skin and pitch black hair who was throwing little balls at the shirtless guy. Next to him was an emo girl with tanned skin and burgundy hair texting on her phone.
Just then, Wendy came out and through a tiny ball which landed on the shirtless guy's belly button catching everyone's attention. "Wendy!!!"
"Wendy, Wendy!!!" One of the guys chanted.
"Hey guys! These are my pals from work: Mabel and Dipper." Wendy introduced us.
"I chewed my gum so it looks like a brain!!!" Mabel said as she sticked her tongue out, showing them her chewing gum, making me kinda nauseous.
I could use her embarrassing greeting to my advantage, right? "She's not much for first impressions, unlike this guy!!!"
They all stared at me as I pointed at myself, making me turn pale at the embarrassment. "This guy..."
"So are you like babysitting or...?" I looked at the emo looking guy.
Wendy defended us, thankfully. "Pfft, c'mon, Robbie. Guys, this is Lee and Nate."
Nate punched Lee's stomach, who grunted before both laughing at the scene.
"Tambry."
"Hey." She gave a small wave without even looking up from her phone.
"Thompson, who once ate a run over waffle for fifty cents."
Thompson shrunk a bit in embarrassment at Wendy's introduction. "Don't tell them that..."
"And Robbie, you can probably figure him out."
He looked over with a confident grin. "Yeah, I'm the guy who spray painted the water tower."
"Oh you mean the big muffin!" I said with a smile. Finally, something good I can say!
"Um, it's a giant explosion." He said with a small glare, everyone looking at the water tower, seeing the spray paint.
"Hehe, kinda does look like a muffin." Lee said, making the rest of the group laugh. Robbie glared at me, making me shrink in place.
Wendy walked over to the van. "Let's hurry it up, guys, I've got big plans for tonight, huh?!?"
I tried to sit next to Wendy, but unfortunately, Robbie got the seat before me. What a jerk!
Once we were all inside, Thompson looked back at us. "Ok, just before we go, my mom said you guys aren't allowed to punch the roof anymore..."
We all stayed silent for a second before the grip started punching the roof as they chanted Thompson's name.
Along the way, Mabel found a marker, scratching out 'You stink' and writing 'You look nice today!' underneath. "Haha, this is gonna blow someone's mind!"
"Mabel, please."
"What, am I embarrassing you in front of your new GILRFRIE-!!!" I quickly placed a hand over her mouth to stop her, looking around to make sure no one heard.
I quickly pulled away as I got a strange sensation in the palm of my hand. "Ugh, did you just lick my hand?!?"
After a while, we made it to a small convenience store called Dust 2 Dawn. I could tell it had been closed for some time now, and it gave a really strange vibe...
"There it is, fellas." Wendy said with determination as we followed her to the gates. "The condemned Dust to Dawn."
They all stared in awe at the place, but I was feeling a little nervous. "But why did they shut it down, it's like a health code violation or...?"
Nate turned to me. "Try murder!!!"
"Some folks died in there, the place has been haunted ever since!" Lee continued, making my blood run cold.
Haunted?!?
"This town has such a colorful history!" Mabel smiles brightly.
I gulped silently. "What? Are you guys serious?"
"Yeah, we're all gonna die!" Wendy said with a mocking voice, then let out a small laugh. "Chill out, man, it's not as bad as it looks."
Most of them climbed the fence, jumping with ease to the other side. But uh, gym has always been my worst subject...
"C'mon, Dipper!" I heard Wendy yell to me as I stopped above the fence, debating or not whether I should jump.
"Haha, ok, ok, just just just uh, gotta get a foothold."
"Dude, you're sister did it!" Robbie yelled soon after, making look at Mabel who's doing some weird circle motions on the ground. I don't question my sister's weirdness at this point.
Lee then climbed to be next to me. "Hey, you know what, just-" He picked my up, making me tense up before dropping me.
I screamed as I prepared myself for the impact. However, I never felt the hard ground. Instead I felt gentle arms catch me in the air, making my eyes shoot open in surprise.
"Hey Pinetree!" I was greeted by (y/n) who now had me in her arms with a sly smile.
She soon placed me down, making me smile. "(y/n)! Oh boy, am I glad to see you!"
"(y/n)?" We all turned to Wendy who was walking over with a confused expression. "What are you doing here?"
"I come here from time to time, there's things in there that they don't sell anywhere else." She explained.
"Wait, so you've entered this place before?" Nate asked as Lee jumped to land beside him.
"More than once." She answered with a shrug as if this was just a casual Wednesday night.
Nate and Lee exchanged a smile, speaking in synch. "Awesome!!!"
Lee looked back at (y/n). "This kid is off the hook!"
She stared at him with a serious expression. "Don't call me kid, kid." With that, we all stared walking to the store.
"Good job throwing the kid off the fence genius." I heard Nate say to Lee.
"Your mom's a genius!"
I saw Robbie trying to get the door open as Wendy peeked inside through the window. "Woahohoho, this place is amazing!"
"Think it's stuck." Robbie said as he pulled away with an annoyed look.
"Let me take a crack at it!" I said, feeling confident. Maybe he was just being an idiot, who knows.
He then started mocking me. "Oh yeah, I can't get it, but I'm sure junior here is gonna break it down like Hercules."
"Come on, leave him alone, he's just a little kid." Wendy said. I could see the pity clear in her eyes.
I had already embarrassed myself too many times before. I needed to do this. I looked up with determination, starting to climb the building as they all stared in confusion and surprise.
As I heard them mutter, I reached the vent, starting to punch it until it broke off, crawling inside. "Go, Dipper!!! Punch that metal thing!!!"
"Hey, Dipper, take it easy!!!"
I managed to get inside the store, walking over to the door and opening with a proud smile. They all cheered at the sight of me, walking in one by one as they spoke to me.
"Good call inviting this little maniac!"
"Your new name is Dr. Fun Times!"
"Alright!"
"Nice work!" My smile grew as Wendy softly punched my arm. Mabel and (y/n) gave me thumbs up at the sight, walking in as I followed behind.
We all looked around in amazement as they began to separate and walk around. (y/n) seemed to already know the place, and walked over to three switches, turning them all, which resulted to be the power switch.
I soon heard Thompson speak. "Do you guys really think it's haunted?"
"Psh, nah, Thomps, are you kidding me?" Lee answered as he rolled his eyes.
Nate laughed. "C'mon, shut up, man."
It was soon after than I lost sight of (y/n). I'm sure she's fine though, she can take care of herself.
I looked at Wendy. "So what are we gonna do now?"
"Anything we want."
Long story short, we actually had a blast!!! After a while Mabel ran off and I lost track of her. I wonder where she had gone of to. Oh well, I'm sure she's fine. Maybe she's with (y/n).
~~~~~~~~~Your POV~~~~~~~~~

I like to go to this store to pick up some things for some spells. My book has all sorts of different spells and I've wanted to learn as much as I possibly can, so when I found out about this place, I was so excited about it!

I've been coming here for a few months now, and you'd be surprised on how friendly the owners are.

Right now, I was looking for a type of candy known as Smile Dip. It's been banned from the U.S., and for very good reason too. Sure it may look delicious, but I'm pretty sure it's made from dangerous chemicals or drugs or something.

But the spell I'm practicing right now requires it, and it's not like I have to eat. Thankfully.

"Hey (y/n)!!!" I heard as I started placing the bags of Smile Dip in my bag, which was very hard to convince Aiden to get out of it and stay home for today, the poor guy.

I turned to see Mabel walked over to me with her usual smile. "Oh, hey M."

"What'cha up to?!?"

"Well, there's this spell I'm practicing, and some of the ingredients are here."

"Cool!!!" She jumped in excitement. "Mind if I help?!?"

I thought for a while. It's not that I didn't trust Mabel, it's just that I knew she might get in trouble. "Alright, you can hold on to my bag while I search for the rest of the things I need."

"Ok!!!" She took the bag I was offering, and I soon walked to another isle.

I could trust her not to open it, right?

... right..?

~~~~~~~~~~Dipper's POV~~~~~~~~~
Wendy and I were sitting together on some shelves as we ate ice cream. We could see the guys from here, which we couldn't help but laugh at.
Wendy turned to me. "Dipper, this night is like legendary!
"Really?!"
"Just look around! The guys are bonding, I've never even seen Tambry looking up from her phone this long, and even Robbie's having a fun time! I'm glad you came with us!"
I couldn't help but smile. Finally, I wasn't a total embarrassment!
"Hey guys, we need more ice!!!" We saw the guys holding a bag of ice which they had emptied out in Thomson's pants.
"I'm on it!"
I hoped off the place, walking over to the cooler and taking one of the bags. However, the air suddenly became cold, and I started to feel as if I were being watched.
I slowly looked up to see a face, but it didn't have skin nor muscles, nor a skull, just the organs. I threw the ice bag away as I screamed and closed the door.
After catching my breath I cautiously open the door again to see it was empty.
What just happened?!?
"What was that? I thought I heard some lady screaming back here." I turned to see everyone walking over, Lee speaking before Nate.
"You freaking out, kid?"
"Eh, no! No, I'm cool! Everything's cool!"
"Then what's all this about?" Robbie asked as he pointed at the ice bag.
"Oh! That's uh- uh..." I looked around for something, anything that could help. "Hey look! Dancy Pants Revolution!!! The game that tricks people into exercising!!!"
They cheered, walking over as I let out a sigh of relief. I couldn't let them know I was scared, they'd think I'm just a scared little kid!
Shortly after, I went to join Wendy and the gang. Thompson was the one playing while the others chanted 'Go'.
I look out the window and see our reflections. Except something was terrible wrong. We were skeletons! I desperately rubbed my eyes and looked again. We were normal. I started to think this place really was haunted and decided to call Stan. Unfortunately he didn't pick up.
Maybe I could talk to Mabel and (y/n), they always had my back.
However, the sight I found was not one I expected. Mabel was on the floor, holding empty bags of some weird sugar candy, her eyes glazed over and her pupils wide in a disturbing way.
(y/n) was searching through a (f/c) journal with a serious expression. "Um, what's going on here?!?"
(y/n) looked up. "Oh, um, well, the whole reason I came to this store is to get some things for a spell I wanna practice, so I gave Mabel my bag with some of the ingredients I had, and she ate them."
"How many?!?"
"Blevem... teen..." We both looked at my sister who spoke in a jittery manor.
(y/n) looked at me. "All the ones that were in my bag. But don't worry, there's a simple spell that can get her back to her not-so-normal self. We just have to go to the shack.
"We can't go now!"
"Why not?"
"Because then the others will be disappointed in me!"
She stared at me, as if asking with her eyes if I was being serious or not. However, before she could argue with me, we heard Robbie speak. "Whoa guys, you might want to see this!"
We all go to look behind the counter. My skin turned pale at the sight of two silhouettes of people lying on the ground, the others staring in awe.
"Dude, I dare you to lie down in it." Robbie was the first to say.
"Good idea!" Lee nudged Nate. "Go lie down in it!"
He chuckled before walking over as he spoke in a dum sounding voice. "Heh, I'm a dead body, look!"
I kept debating with myself whether I should stop it or not. What if it's real?! What if this place really is haunted?! If the ghosts are still here!!
"Wait!!! Maybe let's not do that!"
"They all looked at me, and I started regretting intervening. "This guy's scared~" Lee said as he pointed at me.
I tried to defend myself, which didn't work so muchas "All I'm saying is: why attempt the fate? I mean, what if this place really is... haunted...?"
They all began to boo at me, making whatever confidence I had gain today fade away as I turned red in embarrassment.
Robbie rolled his eyes. "Oh yeah, just take it down a notch, Captain Buzzkill."
"But... I thought I was Dr. Fun Times!"
"Well, you're acting like Captain Buzzkill, right?" He looked at the gang, which all agreed.
Including Wendy...
"This place isn't haunted." (y/n) said as she walked over, her expression quite serious. "But the owners' spirits still live in this place. It's their home, their store, and you're all mocking them by doing this."
"What, you too? What are you, Buzzkill's white knight?" Robbie glared at us.
"What are you, Einstein? Who are you to say these things about us? Poor little rich kid who pretends to hate everything to seem cool when all you are is a huge jerk who picks on kids twice his size."
The gang all stared in disbelief at her words, and I could feel the anger radiating off of Robbie. (y/n) only kept a serious look on her face as she stared back.
However, a smirk then grew on his face. "Wow, kid, I can't believe you need your little girlfriend to protect you."
I felt myself grow angry. I didn't need anyone to protect me, I could handle it myself!
"Status update, trapped in store with insane nine year old." I heard Tambry say as she typed in her phone, making me even more angry than before.
I wanted to prove to them I was just as capable!
"I'm not a nine year old!!!" I walked over to the silhouettes, lying down on them. "I'm thirteen, technically a teen!!!"
I noticed (y/n) try to stop me, but we all tensed up as the lights turned green. I quickly stood up, looking around. We all then let out a gasp as we saw Tambry dissolve right in front of our eyes!
I picked up her phone which was the only thing that remained, seeing her latest update. "Statues update: Ahhhhhhh!!!"
"AHHHHH!!!" We saw her inside the monitor on the corner of the room, screaming as she punched the glass as we screamed at the sight.
"Tambry!!! Tambry!!!"
"Can you hear us?!?!?"
It was of no use, she only looked around with a terrified expression.
Nate looked at us. "What are we supposed to do?!?!?"
"I don't know, man, I don't know!!!" Lee replied in panic.
"Let's just go already!!!" Yelled Robbie, followed by Wendy.
"Thompson!!!"
"Almost got the high score!!! Wait!!!" He continued to dance, soon dissolving before appearing in the game's screen. "Huh? What?"
"Time to shake what your mama gave you!!!"
"Oh no!!!" We could only stare as he tried to avoid the falling arrows . "So many arrows!!!"
"You're a dance machine!!!"
"No you're a dance machine!!!" He fell down, sobbing into his hands as we all stared, not knowing what to do.
"Oh no!"
"Thompson!!!"
"Forget him!!! Let's go!!!" Robbie yelled once more as Wendy ran over to the door which suddenly slammed shut, trying to open it.
"What the-?!? Guys, it's locked!!!"
Robbie ran to the door as he held a cash register. "Out of my way!!!" However, as he threw it at the door, hoping to break it, it dissolved before it could hit the doors.
"AHH!!!"
"Everybody, wait!!! Whatever is doing this has to have some kind of reason!!!" I took out my journal, scrolling through the pages. "Maybe if we can just figure out what it is then they'll let us out of here!!!"
(y/n) stood beside me. "There is a reason, you all have been trashing their store!!!"
"Uh, they'll let us out of here!!! Yeah that makes a lot of sense!!!" Robbie mocked with a glare.
Wendy stood beside me, defending us. "I don't know, guys, maybe he has a point!!!"
"Yeah right, I'm sure the ghost just wants to talk about his feelings!!!" As Lee finished his sentence, he dissolved in the air, soon appearing in a cereal box.
"I'm bonkers for eating you!!!"
"NO!!!" We all looked away as we saw the toucan from the box raise the spoon it was holding, too afraid to see what happened next.
Nate turner to us. "Ok ok, I'm with you, kid, one hundred percent, man...!!!"
"Welcome!!!"
We all screamed as we saw Mabel suddenly float over to us, her eyes glowing white.
"They got Mabel!!!"
"Welcome to your graves, young trespassers!!!"
"W-w-we're super sorry for hanging out in your store!!!" Wendy pleaded, panic obvious in her expression.
I stood beside her. "Yeah, can we just go now and leave forever?!?"
"Well, ok. You're free to go." When he finished his sentence, the main doors flew open, making me let out a sigh of relief. "But before you leave, hotdogs are now half off. I know it might be crazy, but you gotta try these dogs!!!"
Nate and Robbie only screamed in pure fear, running as fast as they could to the door which slammed in front of them.
"Just kidding about the hotdog sale!!!"
"Just let us out of here already!!!" Nate yelled as he was pulled back by Robbie.
Of course, it only made the ghost more angry. "I don't like your tone!!!" Because of this, Nate dissolved in front of us, suddenly appearing in the hotdog machine.
"What?!? No!!! I'm a hotdog!!!"
"It begins!!!"
The ghost started to make everything float, including myself. Gravity was reversed, and everything was now falling on the roof. I looked around to see Wendy, and then (y/n).
Wait, (y/n) had magic! She could stop this, right?!
I called her name, and she looked over. However, she must've figured out what I was gonna ask because she shook her head, mouthing 'Too many people around!'
"Welcome to your home for all eternity!!!"
Wendy was now beside, holding her hat so it wouldn't fall off. "What do we do?!?"
"DUCK!" I pushed us down before a machine could hit us.
(y/n) then crawled over, pointing at a nearby cabinet. "Quick, in there!!!"
We all did as told, crawling and hiding inside the cabinet as we watched the scene of objects going around the room like some sort of tornado.
"What do they want from us?!?" Wendy asked, desperate to get answers.
"Revenge I guess?!?" I tried to answer, however (y/n) explained after.
"They're mad because you have all been trashing their store while they rest!!!" Anger was obvious in her tone.
"But I thought you came before many times!!!"
"I have, but only to get some things I need, and then leave!!! They've given me permission to!!!" She yelled back at Wendy.
"But we didn't do anything wrong!!!"
I quickly placed myself in the middle, stopping the argument. "Ok, let's try to figure out the pattern here! Why was each person taken?!? Tambry was texting, Thompson was playing a video game, Lee was being sarcastic, it doesn't make any sense!!!"
"Yeah, I mean those are all just normal teenager things!!!"
My eyes widened in realization. "Wait, Wendy, say that last part again?"
"Normal teenage things?"
"Of course!!! Stay here until I get back!!!" I crawled out of the place, hearing Wendy and (y/n) tell my name.
Once close enough, I stood up, trying not to fall do to the strong winds. "Hey ghost!!!"
Mabel's head did a 180, turning her head to me before her body. "Yes?"
I tensed up as I began to float, but remained confident. "I've got something to tell you!!! I'm not a teenager!!!"
At my statement, I was dropped onto the roof and Mabel's eyes turned back to normal. Behind her were two people er-, ghost. They seemed of age, holding onto Mabel.
The first one to speak was the man, who's name tag said 'Pa.' "Ohoho, well why didn't you say so?!?" He dropped Mabel, and I was so relieved to see she was ok. "How old did you say you were?"
"I'm... I'm twelve... technically not a teen..."
"When we were alive, teenagers were a scourge on our store!" The woman, who's name tag said 'Ma', explained.
Pa continued the explanation. "Always sassafrassin customers with their boomie boxes and disrespectful short pants. So we decided to up and ban, but they retaliated with this new flanged rap music!"
"The lyrics, they were so... hateful! Oh my, so shocking! We were stricken down with double heart attacks. That's why we hate teenagers so much! Isn't that right, honey?" She nuzzled her lover's nose.
I had grown calm after hearing their side of the story, but I still had to do something. "But they're my friends, isn't there anything I can do to help them?"
"Well, there is one thing. Do you know any funny little dances?" I cringed at the question.
"Is there anything else I can do?"
"NOOOO!!!!" Pa lit up on fire as he yelled at the top of his ghostly lungs, making me flinch.
"Ok ok ok!!! Um, well, I do know the Lamby Lamby dance..., but uh I can't really do it without a lamb costume." I stood their proud, thankful of my excuse. However, I heard him snap his fingers, making me look down to see myself in a lamb costume. "Oh, well, there it is..."
Here I go...
"Welllllllllllll
Who wants the lamby lamby lamby?
I do, I do!
So go up and greet your mamy mamy mamy!
Hi there, hi there!
So march march march around the daisies!
Don't don't don't you forget about the babyyyyy!!!"
I have never hated everything in my whole entire life before this moment.
"This was the strangest and most amazing thing I've witnessed all day." I turned to see (y/n) walked over as she held in her laughter, my cheeks turning bright red.
"(f/c)! You're here!" She cringed at the nickname Pa had called her, but I grew confused. "You're not with this group, are you?"
"I mean, I know them, but I wasn't planning on tagging along with them. I just came for some ingredients."
"Typical (f/c)." Ma chuckled.
"Anyways, that was some fine girly dancin' boy. Your friends are free." He snapped his fingers, the doors opening as I got my normal clothes back. I was in the middle of my sentence when I noticed the ghosts were gone, everything starting to fall back on ground.
I was lucky enough to fall on my feet, seeing everyone crawling out to view. I quickly ran over to Mabel who did not seem to be in good condition.
"I'm never gonna eat or do anything ever again..." She sat up, groaning.
I picked up one or the bags. "Hey there's still some left!"
"Evil!!!" She turned to (y/n) who was now walking over with a full bag. "(y/n), why didn't you tell me what they did?!?"
"I didn't think you were gonna eat them!" She said, shrugging, Mabel holding her stomach with another groan.
We all turned to see everyone standing up, Lee speaking. "Wha... what happened after everything went crazy?"
Wendy ran over to her friends, a smile on her face. "You are not going to believe it! The ghost appeared and Dipper had to-"
I rubbed my arm, embarrassed at was she was about to explain. However, she hesitated to speak, and I was surprised by what she said.
"Uh... ahem, and uh... Dipper just grabbed a bat and started beating the ghost done left and right! And then the ghost got all scared and ran away like a couple of little girls. It was awesome!!!"
They all cheered for me. Wendy looked over and gave me the secret sign from yesterday. I did the same, smiling before leaving the store with everyone.
After that, we go back to the van, (y/n) decided to go to the shack with us to help Mabel with the Smile Dip fiasco. Almost everyone was asleep. Mabel sat in her place, reading the note she had written earlier. "What kind of sick joke is this...?"
We couldn't help but let out a small laugh, sitting beside her. I thought for a while, remembering what happened. "Hey, (y/n)..?"
"Hm?"
"Thanks for defending me earlier, you really didn't have to.."
She gently punched my shoulder. "Don't worry about it, Pinetree, that's what friends do."
She gave me a smile, and I smiled back. I really am glad we're friends.
I won't lie, I was kinda suspicious at first, with her being a witch and all, but honestly? I'm more than happy I met her.
Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!
❤️❤️❤️
