🎃Ep.12: Summerween🎃
~~~~~~~~~Dipper's POV~~~~~~~~~
"Here we are!!! The Summerween Superstore!!!" Stan said as we all left the car after parking in front of a store.
I tilted my head, confused at what he just said. "Wait, summer-what?"
Stan pulled out a calendar, showing us the red circle on today. "Summerween, the people in Gravity Falls love Halloween so much they celebrate it twice a year, and wouldn't you know it, it's today!!!"
"Do you always carry that calendar in your pocket?"
"... yes."
Mabel walked over to stand beside me. "Summerween? Something about this feels unnatural..."
"There's free candy~" Soos placed his hands on our shoulders before Mabel and I exchanged a smile.
We ran inside, grabbing a small red wagon where Mabel sat in as I dragged it around. "TO THE COSTUME ISLE!!!"
As the two of us searched for costumes, I noticed Soos pressing these weird skeleton head toys. "I'd lend you a hand, but I don't seem to have any!!! Huhuhahaha, huhuhahaha!!!"
"This guy tells it like it is!"
"Sir?" He looked over at the worker. "Could you please stop pushing that?"
"Ma'am, make these heads less hilarious and you've got yourself a deal." He pushed the head again, making it let out a laugh as the worker groaned in annoyance.
As for Stan, he was carrying a barrel of fake blood. "When the children come to my door tonight they're gonna run away screaming from Stan Pines: Master of Fright!" He looked over at a baby with its mother. "... Boo."
When the baby cried, Stan only laughed. Sometimes I wonder how we're even related.
As I thought of this, I accidentally knocked over a pale of jack-o-melons with the wagon Mabel was on, both of us laughing. I also saw Stan looking back at one of the barrels in fear. "Uh-oh, think this one's leaking!"
"Have the police come and eject the Pines family from the store." We all turned to face her as the worker spoke to her walkie talkie.
Stan acted fast, throwing a smoke bomb. "NOT TODAY!!!"
"MY EYES!!!"
We all ran back to the car, driving away from the store. Mabel tilted her head before looking at Grunkle Stan. "You paid for the stuff, right?"
"Of course!"
Yeah, that's hard to believe.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
"I'm so excited!!!" Mabel yelled as she waved her arms around. It had been hours since we went to the store, and the sun had already set.
I turned to her with a smile. "We're gonna have the best costumes, get the most candy,-!!!"
"And have the biggest stomach aches ever!!!"
"Yeah!!!" We high fived each other. We were waiting for (y/n) to get here, part of me hoped she'd wear a witch costume for irony.
Soos laughed at our excitement. "Whoa, I've never seen you two so pumped!"
"Well, back at home, me and Dipper were kind of the kings of trick or treating!!!" She opened her scrapbook, showing Soos all our costumes. "Twins in costume, the people eat it up!!!"
"Well, you dudes better be careful out there. It's a night of ghouls and goblins, not to mention..." The lights suddenly went off, and Soos pointed a flashlight on his face. "The Summerween Trickster...!!!"
Mabel and I looked at each other before back at Soos. "The Summer-what what-what?"
"The Trickster goes door to door, so the legend goes, eating children who lack the Summerween spirit!"
"Well, you don't have to worry about us." I threw q piece of candy into my mouth. "We've got spirit to go around." When the lights came back on, I began to cough at whatever I had eaten. "What is this stuff?!?"
I pulled the candy bowl over to me, picking up random candies inside. "I've never even heard of these brands! Sand Pop? Gummy chairs? Mr. Adequate-Bar?"
"This is all cheap-o loser candy!" Mabel said as she looked at the bowl.
Soos quickly shushed us. "Quiet, you're discontent, children! What if the Trickster overhears?!"
"Your cape is caught in your fly, Soos." I stood up, walking over to the window.
"Touché.."
I began to throw out the candy. "Goodbye, loser candy."
"That's a waste of food, y'know." I let out a scream at the new voice, falling back.
(y/n) poked her head threw the window, laughing at me as I grew red in embarrassment. Standing up, I dusted myself off. "Can't you enter the shack like a normal person?"
"No I cannot, PT." She jumped inside. "No I cannot."
I noticed she was wearing a backpack, assuming that was where she had her costume. I rolled my eyes at her comment, hearing a doorbell ring.
"You hear that? That's how normal people enter houses."
She blew a raspberry at me, making me chuckle before hearing Stan yell from upstairs. "Trick-or-treaters!!! Quick, give'm that terrible candy!!!"
(y/n) walked over to be with Mabel as I went over to the door, opening it. "Happy Summerw-AHH!!"
I grew a little pale at the sight of Wendy and Robbie standing there. "Sup, squirt."
"Hey Dipper!"
"Wendy!" Chuckling awkwardly, I took a few steps back, accidentally bumping into the staircase. "Ow... Wha-what's up, guys?"
Wendy groaned before grabbing her jacket from the hanger. "I left my jacket here, again."
"What's with the candy? You're going trick or treating or something?"
I stuttered at Robbie's question, not knowing how to answer. However, Wendy answered for me, and it wasn't exactly the answer I hoped for.. "Shut up, Robbie, of course he's not going trick-or-treating."
"No, uh- yeah!" I hid Mabel's scrapbook behind me, feeling drops of sweat on my face. "Trick or treating is for babies! I guess.."
"You should come to this party with us. Tambry's parents are out of town, and it's gonna be off the chain!"
"Not surprised you didn't hear about it." Robbie handed me a flyer. Nothing was stopping me from going though, right?"
As the entered Robbie's van, I waved at them. "Hey guys, wait! Maybe I'll see you at the party!"
"If you're not too busy playing dress up."
Wendy elbowed him before smiling at me. "It's at nine, don't forget!"
After they drove away, I looked down at the flyer and scrapbook. I loved going trick or treating with Mabel, and now that (y/n) was gonna join us it was gonna be even better!
But what would Wendy think of me..? She'd just think I was a child..
I debated with myself, and in the end, I decided I was going to the party.
How am I gonna tell the girls..?
~~~~~~~~~Your POV~~~~~~~~~
It had been around an hour since I came to the shack, and Mabel and I were already in our costumes. At the moment, we were at the door since Candy and Grenda, Mabel's friends, had just arrived.
Candy was dressed as a piece of candy, which I found funny, and Grenda was dressed as a witch.
Pfff, sure, cuz witches only have one specific look?
I feel offended.
After usual greetings, Candy squished her own cheeks. "Is Waddles coming with us?!?"
"I wish he could, but he's got some very important meetings to attend~!!!"
At Mabel's words, Waddles came walking inside, and we all cooed at the little suit he was wearing. It was honestly adorable!
She picked up her pig with a serious look. "File those documents under 'I', for I Have A Curly Tail!!!"
We all laughed as she hugged Waddles, and I then looked at her. "Where's Dipper anyways?"
"Oh you guys, just wait until you see Dipper's costume!!! It's amazing~!!!" We all turned at the sound of footsteps, Mabel smiling. "Here he comes now!!!"

Anyways-
Dipper stopped at the bottom of the stairs, and as his gaze shifted to me, his cheeks grew pink. I couldn't stop my own cheeks from heating up, though I did my best to hold in my laugh.
He found me attractive, didn't he? It's happened before anyways, I'm not an idiot.
Even if he did though, it wasn't anything like his feelings to Wendy, she was clearly the one who stole his heart.
As much as part of me hated that thought..
As much as I.. kinda wished I was in her shoes..
But hey, it wouldn't hurt to tease him, even just a little bit, right?
"Like something you see, Pinetree?" I asked as I placed my hands on my hips.
He grew darker, quickly shaking his head and giving me a nervous smile. "S-Sorry, I- I just-"
Candy interrupted his sentence. "That is a very good Dipper costume."
"What the hey hey, bro bro, where's your costume?!?" Mabel asked as she walked over to him with a confused look.
Dipper's expression morphed into something serious, or at least trying to be. "Look, I can't go trick or treating, I'm uh... really sick! Must've been the bad candy..!" He forced out a couch before falling onto the ground. "You go on without me...!"
"Fight through it, man! Where's your Summerween spirit?!"
That's when we all heard a knock on the door. Dipper stood up and walked over to answer it, and I felt a sudden chill fill the air.
Something was wrong..
I couldn't see the person that he was talking to, but their voice was deep and raspy, menacing in a way..
"Trick or treat.."
"Dude, really? You're a little old for this, man, sorry."
"But wait, I-!"
We all stared at Dipper in surprise as he closed the door in the stranger's face, and Mabel was seriously not happy. "Why'd you close the door?!?"
"I told you, Mabel, I'm just not feeling it tonight!"
"Dude, what the heck, you were perfectly fine like ten seconds ago." I said, Dipper wasn't one to get sick easily, and he wasn't the best at lying either.
Mabel let a smile grow on her face. "I think a little trick-or-treating will make you feel better!"
"I'm not trick-or-treating!" His eyebrows knit together in a scowl before hearing someone knock on the door again.
Duper groaned at the sound, opening the door. "Look, man, just go to another house!!!" He didn't wait for an answer and slammed the door shut again.
Mabel glared at her brother. "Dipper, where's your Summerween hospitality?!?"
Once more, we heard a knock on the door, Dipper crossing his arms. "I'm not getting that!"
"Well, I am!" She walked over to the door, opening it with a friendly smile. "I apologize for my brother, he came down with the case of the grumpy-grumps."
"Silence!!!" The already cold air grew colder at the mystery man's voice, forcing me to hug myself as I shivered. "You have insulted me and for that for this you must pay with your lives...!!!"
Mabel stared at them for a while before letting out a laugh. "Oho, what a cute little mask!!! You're a funny guy, aren't you?!?"
The man entered, my eyes widening. They were as tall as the shack, and although their limbs were as thin as sticks, they were long, and their body was like a giant cotton candy.
If anything though, the smell alone could make one vomit.
"Funny, am I..?"
"Twick or Tweat!!!" At the door was a little kid, giving us an adorable smile. "My name is Gorney!!!"
However, my heart stopped as the man- no, this monster swallowed the poor kid whole, making us all scream.
"There's only one way for you to avoid his fate." He poked my head, my heart sinking to my stomach in fear, though Dipper quickly pulled me to be behind him. "I need a treat. If you can collect 500 pieces of candy and bring it to me before the last jack-o-melon goes out," He blew out the jack-o-melon. "I will let you live."
"Five hundred treats in one night?!? That's impossible!!!" Dipper yelled at the monster, who seemed unfazed by him as he walked out of the shack.
"The choice is yours, children. You must trick-or-treat.. or die.."
The monster climbed above the Mystery Shack and disappeared into the dark abyss of night, leaving us all in shock as we ran out to see.
Dipper began to freak out. "Oh my gosh, do you know what this mean?!?"
"I do..." Mabel turned to him with a bright smile. "It means you have to come trick-or-treating!!! YAY!!!"
Mentally face palming myself, I let out a sigh, then turned to Candy at her words. "Who was that guy?!?"
"With the luck we have often? I take it it's the legend Soos told us about." I replied, gripping my arms.
Grenda began to shake Dipper in a panic, which if not were for the situation we were in, I would've died laughing. "What do we do, what do we do?!?"
"What's going on out here, dudes? I heard a ruckus." Soos asked as he walked outside, then chuckled. "That's a funny word, ruckus."
"Soos, a monster is making us trick-or-treat or else he's gonna eat us!!!" Dipper spat out, and Candy took out her phone.
"I got a picture!!!"
Soos inspecting the picture before his facial features morphed into something of fear. "The Summerween Trickster!!! Oh man, dude, you guys are in crazy bonkers trouble!!!"
"How are we gonna get that much candy in one night?!? There's no way!!!"
At the sound of clapping, we saw Mabel standing over a hay bail, a determined look on her face. "Listen up, people!!! Now some might say that being cursed by a bloodthirsty holiday monster is a bad thing!"
"I wet myself!" The rest of us backed away from Grenda after she spoke.
"But that monster messed with the wrong crew! With Candy's spirit, Grenda's strength, Dipper's brains, (y/n)'s speed, and ... S-Soos here, we'll get 500 pieces of candy and have fun doing it too!!! Even if it takes all night!!!"
We cheered, we could always count on Mabel to cheer us up!
"To the streets!!!" The rest began to follow her away from the shack, but I stayed behind when I noticed Dipper mutter. "All night..?"
"Is that a problem, PT? Or do you have somewhere to be?" I asked, crossing my arms.
He quickly forced out a laugh, his hands behind his back as he face me a sheepish smile. "N-no, of course not! Let's- let's go trick-or-treating!"
Something was obviously going on with him, he was hiding something, and for reasons I didn't know..
I just hope it's not too serious..
~~~~~~~~~Dipper's POV~~~~~~~~~
I didn't know how to tell them I was going to a party with Wendy, but I had to tell them soon!
Of course, I couldn't leave them alone knowing a monster was threatening to kill us all if we didn't get his candy.
We were in town at the time, I was dragging a small wagon where we'd put all the Candy in. "I don't understand why we can't just buy our candy and be done with it."
Mabel looked at me with her usual smile. "That sorta takes the fun out of trick or treat or die!!!"
"I'm trying to take the die out of trick or treat or die."
"Makes it sound like we're in some sort of horror movie." (y/n) added with a small laugh.
"With the monster chasing us, we might as well be."
We first stopped at Lazy Susan's house, and while the others smiled for treats, I simply crossed my arms with a glare, eager to get this over with. "Trick or treat!!!"
"And is everybody in costume? Chimney sweet, elephant man, squeegee, ant farm, (nickname depending on your costume)." When she pointed at me, she tilted her head. "Oh, and what are you supposed to be?"
I shrugged. "Uh, actually I'm not dressed up as anything. We-we're kind of in a hurry here."
"Oh, I see." Her smile had changed into something serious, giving each of them one piece of candy before closing the door. "Enjoy!!!"
Grenda groaned as she took out her piece of Candy. "One piece of black licorice?!?"
"Circus peanut!!! This is loser candy!!!" Candy said, deflating in disappointment.
I gripped my hair in frustration. "Five pieces of candy?!? This is gonna take forever!!!"
"We've gotta up our game, Dipper!!! You've gotta put on your costume!!!"
"I told you, I'm not up to it, Mabel!"
"Oh really?" We froze as the monster from before landed in front of us, taking a candy from Soos's basket. "...I've seen better."
Taking Lazy Susan's jack-o-melon, he climbed back onto the roof, blowing it out. "Tick tock."
We stared as he disappeared into darkness, (y/n) glaring at me. "So, you still too sick to wear a costume, or are you letting us all die?"
I guess there was no avoiding it. I had to dress up if we were gonna get this over with.
Mabel had my costume in her bag, and I was able to put it on behind some bushes. "Introducing for the first time in public...!!!"
I walked over at my sister's announcement, standing beside her as she smile brightly. "Ta-da!!! Peanut butter and jelly!!!"
"Aww!!!"
I tensed up when Candy took a picture of us. "I will make you internet famous!!!"
"Hey, erase that!!!" I looked down at my watch, letting out a sigh. "Let's just get this over with, okay?"
Mabel and her friends started walking away. "Over with!!! Over with!!!"
"Dipper, wait." I looked back at (y/n), feeling kinda nervous. It had been a long time since she last called me by name (even though it's still my nickname).
She had a worried look on her face, arms crossed. "What's going on with you? You've been acting weird all night, even for you."
"I- I told you before, I'm sick." I forced out a cough, though so many coughs were starting to really hurt my throat.
"But-!"
"Hey guys, you coming or what?!?"
For once I was grateful for Mabel's inpatient attitude, giving me a chance to end the conversation beforehand. I didn't like lying to (y/n), but I know she'd think I was a complete jerk!
... then again, maybe that was what I was anyways..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It somehow worked!
We spent hours going house to house collecting candy, and I actually had fun!
"We did it!!!" We all cheered at Mabel's words, Grenda wrapping us all in a hug. "All we need is one more piece of candy!!!"
I looked down at my watch with a smirk. "And it's only eight thirty!!! Perfect timing!!!"
Mabel hugged my tightly. "And you're cough went away too!!!"
"Dude, I'm gonna go around and grab the truck! Soos away!!!"
"Yo, last one to the house needs to smell Pinetree's unwashed clothes!!" (y/n) yelled as she playfully punched my arm before running away.
I had to laugh, calling out for her. I was about to run after them when I noticed a familiar van turn to corner, growing pale at the sight.
Before they could see me, I took off my costume and hid it behind the bushes along with the candy, hearing Wendy's voice.
"Hey Dipper!"
I leaned back against a tree, trying to play it cool. "Oh hey Wendy!" Noticing part of my costume sticking out of the bushes, I stood in front, kicking it back. "What's up?"
"Are you coming to the party?"
"What are you doing out here?" Robbie peeked ya me from behind Wendy with an annoyed look.
I forced out a chuckle. "I'm on my way, I like watching the trick-or-treaters, remind me of when I was a kid."
"Okay then, you're coming, right?"
"Definitely, definitely."
"Cool, see you there!"
I waved goodbye as they drove away, a smile on my face.
"You're.. going to a party..?"
My skin grew pale as I heard (y/n)'s familiar voice. I turned around, seeing her standing a few feet away from me, eyes a little wide as she gripped the last piece of candy.
"W-wait, I uh-!"
Before I could speak, a notice her eyes spark in a glowing (f/c), the candy glowing the same color. She threw it over, and I didn't have any time to avoid it, harshly hitting my face.
"You've been lying and trying to ditch us all night just because you want to be with Wendy?!? Again?!?" I could see the anger radiating from her as she greeted her teeth.
I cupped my cheek where the candy had hit me before starting to walk over, hands raised in surrender. "No! That's- that's not-!"
"Don't you start with your apologetic bullshit, not this time!!! If all you care about is Wendy, then just go ahead!!!"
Not giving me a chance to explain, she ran off, leaving me with the others staring at me in shock.
I-I had never seen her so angry... so angry at... m-me...
"So that's why you were acting so weird and trying to hurry us, you're not sick at all!!! So if it wasn't for this crazy monster you were gonna ditch us!!! On our favorite holiday!!!"
I bit my lip, I didn't have anything to say. She and (y/n), they were right to be mad at me.
"What happened to the Dipper that used to love Halloween?!?" She looked around before glaring at me. "And where's all the candy?!?"
"Relax, relax, I left it right here, behind this bush." My blood ran cold as I saw the wagon had fallen down a cliff, along with all the candy washing down the river.
Mabel got even angrier. "What did you do?!?"
"Well I- I-!!!"
"Uh, guys...?!?" We turned around at Grenda's voice, our eyes widening.
"Oh no, all the jack-o-melons are out!!!"
"Look!!!" I pointed at Old Man McGucket, who was about to blow out the jack-o-melon's candle.
We all ran over, yelling for him to stop, but he only seemed more confused.
"Eh?!? What's happening?!?"
"Just don't blow out that candle!!!"
He grabbed a horn, placing it against his ear. "What?!?"
"DON'T BLOW OUT THAT CANDLE!!!"
"... I'm Old Man McGucket!!!"
He raised the melon, feeling fear rise up inside me. However, before he could blow out the candle, Grenda head-butted the old man, taking the jack-o-melon before it could be put out.
He crawled away from sight, letting me feel a small sense of calm. "Oof, that was close!"
We all let out sighs of relief, but to our stupid luck, our breaths all put out the flame, keeping us frozen in the silent of night.
One street light was lighting the road, where the monster from before stood under it, making a knocking motion.
"Knock knock."
Grenda dropped the jack-o-melon as we all stared in pure fear, letting the monster to walk over. I stood in front of everyone, pulling them back so they wouldn't get hurt.
"So children, where's my candy?"
"I swear we had all 500 pieces!!! Look, it's down there somewhere, we can still get it!!!" The others nodded at my explanation.
The creature let out a growl, a chill going down my spine. "I'm afraid it's too late! That was your last chance!"
As a last resort, I grabbed the candy (y/n) had thrown at me, throwing it at the monster. However, it only bumped their chest, and they let out a menacing laugh as it slowly sunk inside.
"GO GO GO GO!!!"
We all began running away, but I was forced to stop at Mabel yelling my name. The monster grabbed all four of us as we struggled against their grip.
Soon enough, the monster began to glow a bright (f/c), and we all fell to the ground as they exploded all over the place. I looked up to see (y/n) standing in front of Soos's truck, glowing the same colors as the monster was before.
She had a book in hand, her breathing heavy. However, she soon shook her head, Mabel running over and wrapping her in a hug. "(y/n), you did it!!!"
"Y-Yeah, I- y-you guys okay?!"
"Forget being okay, how did you do that?!?" Grenda asked, (y/n) growing a little pale, though I couldn't tell if it was for fear or exhaustion.
Either way, I knew how much she wanted to keep this a secret. "We don't have time for explanations, everyone in the car!!!"
They all did as I said, and Soos quickly started driving away. I let out a heavy sigh, this had been a crazy day, even for living in Gravity Falls.
Mabel, (y/n) and I sat in the back with Candy, Grenda and Soos at the front. My arm was pressed against (y/n)'s, and I grew worried as I felt her ice cold skin.
From all the things that were in the journal, there were really few things about witches, but one of them is that their body temperature changed depending on their mood.
I guess this meant she was really angry with me..
And I couldn't even blame her for it..
A few seconds passed by when I heard Mabel speak. "Uh... guys...?!?"
We all look out the windows to see the pieces of the monster being stuck together by themselves again. Dang, this guy just won't give up!
Soos began to drive as fast as he could. The monster jumped on the car and Soos lost control, forcing us to crash into the Summerween Superstore. We managed to hide in some isles. (y/n), Candy, Grenda, and Soos on one side, Mabel and I on the other.
I looked over, seeing the monster crawling past the isle where we hid, whispering to the other. "Everyone, stay quiet!"
"Oh now you're worried about the monster! I thought all you cared about was Wendy!"
"Mabel, you know that's not true! I just- I felt like I was getting a little too old to go trick-or-treating!"
"That's exactly why we need to go trick-or-treating Dipper! We're getting older, there's not that many Halloweens left!" Her expression went from angry to sad, letting out a sigh as she looked down. "I guess I didn't realize it was already our last one..."
I really am a jerk, putting my pride in front of my family and friends...
I'm so stupid...
I looked up at (y/n), who made eye contact with me just them. She stared at me for a few seconds, but I didn't see anger in them.
Instead, I just saw her pain..
She looked away from me, keeping an eye out for the monster when Candy whispered. "We have to escape!"
"What if it sees us?" Grenda whispered back.
"If only there was something we could use to cover our bodies and faces with, you know like a disguise of some kind."
Soos, you can be a real genius by accident.
We got the idea to take some coats and masks to escape unnoticed out of the store. It was working too well for us though, and of course luck is never at our side.
I called out to Soos as I saw him near the skeleton heads from before, all of us hiding behind the counter.
Mabel glared at him. "Soos, don't you dare!!!"
"Sorry, dude, today's been way stressful, I need some levity." He pressed the head, and after a while, we all let out a sigh of relief.
Mabel let a small smile onto her face. "Oh thank goodness, it was out of batteries."
However, I let out a gasp when Soos opened a pack of batteries, placing them in the head before pressing it.
"No matter the score, I'm always a-head!!! Huhuhahaha, huhuhahaha!!!"
"This cackling head's the voice of a generation!"
The monster found Soos, who only stood there and pressed the laughing head once more. I felt my blood run cold when it grabbed and swallowed him whole.
"Alright, you ugly beast!!!" My eyes widened as (y/n) stood up, her book on an opened page. "You wanna play dirty?!? So be it!!!"
She raised an arm, and I could see the energy gathering at her fingertips. That's when I felt Mabel nudge my arm before nodding over at a case of weapons.
I nodded at her, crawling over to the weapons and giving everyone a few. However, another gasp escaped my lips when the monster threw (y/n) against the wall with all its strength, my heart sinking into my stomach.
A few moments later, all I felt was anger..
I gripped my weapon, how dare he hurt her?!?
"Hey monster!!!"
The monster looked over, and we all pulled our weapons out, starting to attack it. Only a few minutes had gone by when I heard Grenda speak in disgust. "Saltwater taffy?!? Gross!!!"
"What are you-?!" Something fell in my mouth, and the familiar taste only made my eyes widen. "Wait, it is!!"
"You really haven't figured it out yet?" It picked up Candy and Grenda with one hand and Mabel and I with the other, and another arm had grown out of him to pick up (y/n) who looked like she was on the edge of fainting.
"Don't you recognize me? Look at my face!!! Look closely...!!!" Pulling off his mask, we all realized what was going on.
"Loser candy!!!"
"That's right! Did you ever stop and think about the candy at the bottom of the bag that no one likes? Every year, the children of Gravity Falls throw away all of the rejected candy into the dump. So I seek revenge. Revenge on the picky children who cast me aside! I am made of every tossed piece of black licorice, every discarded bar of old chocolate with like that white powder stuff on it, you know that stuff?!?"
"I hate that stuff!!!" Mabel yelled at the creature.
"No one would eat me! But now I'm going to eat you!!!"
Mabel and I hugged each other with a scream, but I noticed the monster had stopped in its tracks, and I saw (y/n) glowing once more.
It began to grunt and yell in pain for it exploded once more, letting us all go. Though, before she could do anything else, Soos bursted out of its stomach. "'Sup, bro."
We all stayed quiet, not realizing knowing what to say as he ate bits and pieces of the monster. "Dudes, you want some of this?"
We shook our heads. Things took a weirder turn when the monster looks at him. "Wait, you actually think I taste... good...?!"
"Um, sure, you know."
"All I've ever wanted was for someone to say that I was good...!!! I'm so happy...!!!"
"Crying makes it a little weird, but I guess I'm still eating."
My eyes widened in realization at a thought, turning to see (y/n) lying on the floor unmoving. "(y/n)!!!"
I carefully helped her up, her eyes almost closed completely as she let out a groan. Her eyes flashed between tons of different colors before she blinked a few times, turning to their normal (e/c). "Dipper..."
"C'mon, let's get you home..."
And so we all went back to the shack. To my surprise, Wendy was there. She asked me where I had been, and I proudly told her the truth. Mabel, Candy, and Grenda took (y/n) upstairs while they told be to stay in the living room.
I felt so horrible, I should've said the truth from the very beginning...
After a while, I went to the kitchen, and grew a bit nervous to see (y/n) holding a glass of water. She looked up at me, her expression falling a bit.
I tried to put on a small smile. "You doing okay...?"
"... I guess so..."
"You didn't have to use to much of your powers to help us, you know..."
"I didn't..."
I tilted my head a bit confused. She kept her gaze on her water. "I would've used more to help, and lost less energy... But my powers are connected to the way I feel, and back there, I felt... I-I felt..."
"... hurt..."
She stayed quiet, and I sat across from her at the table. "(y/n), I-... I'm so sorry... It was wrong of me to lie, and-"
"I don't care about the lie..."
"Huh...?"
"... Dipper, for weeks, all you've ever cared about is Wendy... You ditch Mabel and me just to impress her, as if we were something you're embarrassed of... We barely ever see you anymore..."
She was right, I was always trying to impress Wendy now.. I didn't realize how much I was hurting my friends in the process..
I buried my face in my hands. "Oh my God, I'm so so sorry... I didn't know how much I was hurting you and Mabel..."
"It's alright, Dipper..."
"No, it's not alright! I've been a huge jerk recently, and it's not fair to you!" I looked up at my best friend, the one who's never failed to be their for me..
I didn't deserve her..
"I'm gonna spend more time with you guys from now on."
"No, you don't have to-"
"I want to make it up to you. And if I start saying anything that involves Wendy, punch my face."
It brought a smile to my face when she let out a small laugh, my cheeks heating up a bit. "I'll try not to, but thanks for the permission..."
"So... am I forgiven...?"
"Yeah, I guess I can play nice..."
"Thanks..." I gave her a smile. "(f/c)..."
"Hey, you're not allowed to call me that...!" She glared at me, though a smile stood on her face, making me laugh.
"If you can call me Pinetree, I can call you (f/c)..."
She huffed, puffing her cheeks as she crossed her arms, both of us laughing afterwards.
I knew (y/n) was more than a simple friend to me... She was special, and I'd do anything for her...
Thanks for reading!!! 'Till next time!!!
