Sadie's POV

Just 2 more minutes left of school until winter break and I couldn't be happier. Here I am sitting in my last class not even paying attention to the teacher or anything she's saying, just staring at the clock waiting 2 minutes for it to be 2:30.
Anyways I'm Sadie Hudson and I'm 14 years old and I'm from Florida. I have one brother and we're twins, his name is John.
I snapped out of my thoughts when the bell rang. I quickly walked out of the class and the school as fast as I could. When I walked out I saw my best friend Hunter waiting for me so we can walk home together.
"Hey" he smiles.
"Hey" I say out of breath from rushing out of school. He smiles.
"Come on let's go" I say when I finally catch my breath.
"What about John?" he asks.
"He has detention" I say starting to walk.
"Why what did he do?" he asks walking next to me.
"He got into a fight and almost broke this kid's nose" I sigh.
"Why?" he asks furrowing his eyebrows.
"I honestly have no idea but if I know my brother it's probably because the kid looked at him" I roll my eyes at the thought. My brother is known as the "Bad Boy" of the school and is constantly getting into fights. I hate it. He didn't start acting like that since this year which is pur first year of high school.
"Yeah you're probably right" Hunter sighs.
"I hate how he acts like that" I sigh.
"Don't let it get to you because he's still you're brother and he still loves you okay?" he says.
"Okay. Thanks Hunter you always know what to say" I smile giving him a hug.
"No Problem" he smiles hugging me back. We stopped at my house and said our goodbyes. I walked into my house to my mom sitting on the couch reading a magazine.
"How was school sweetie?" she asks looking up.
"Okay" I shrug.
"Where's your brother?" she asks.
"Danny's house he'll be home in about an hour" I lie. Another thing I hate is lying to my mom but I'll do anything for my brother because I know he'd do the same for me.
"Okay sweetheart" she says and continues reading her magazine. Then I make my way upstairs and into my room. I put my stuff away and laid on my bed. After about 5 minutes of just laying there enjoying the piece and quite I heard an knock on my door.
"Come in!" I say thinking it's my mom.
"What's up sis" John says laying next to me on my bed.
"I thought you weren't supposed to be home till later" I say confused.
"About that, well I kinda snuck out" he says.
"How?" I ask now even more confused.
"Mr. Whitmore fell asleep it wasn't that hard to sneak out" he laughed slightly.
"Oh" I say looking down.
"What's wrong" he asks.
"Nothing" I shake my head slightly still looking down.
"Sadie in case you forgot I'm your twin brother and I know when there's something wrong so tell me now" he says.
"Fine, I guess I'm just worried about you I mean how can I not your the bad boy of the school and you're constantly getting into fights" I sigh looking at him.
"Sadie don't worry about me okay you don't need to I can handle myself nothing's gonna happen" he says which made me feel a little better.
"Promise?" I asked.
"Promise" he smiles and I smile back. Then he went to his room and I sat alone in mine. I sighed looking at the clock seeing that it was pretty late. So I got ready for bed and soon I fell asleep.
