"Are you sure you're not having twins?." Dr. Examines "You're quite large."

I frown at the mention of twins. Dr.Hackett gets to work and places some cold gel on my stomach. She used this rubber like control to spread it around. The machine next to me was making thumping sounds and I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"Is that the heartbeat?." I asked looking up at Dr.Hackett.

"Uh Yes," she replies looking at the screen in uncertainty.

"What's wrong?."

Doctor sighs and looks down at me, "The reason you're so big is because you're not three months pregnant. You're five to six months pregnant. And there's a chance that the claimed father isn't the actual father."

If I'm five to six months pregnant that means Peyton isn't the father. I don't want to think of it that way but It's reality. It was about five months ago that Nash and I did have sex.

It's been about a month that's past since the Dylan incident. And I've never been happier in my life. Ever.

That's when we had sex. Five to six months ago when Dylan did leave. I can't help but think Nash is the father. I was starting to grow on Peyton. Is it bad that I actually saw a future with him?. If the child is Nash's....then I will be happy. I will be over the moon with joy, I would be so happy that happy can't even measure up to how happy I am.

I'm waiting for the results to come in from the paternity test. I glance to the right side of the bed and there stands Nash. He's staring off into space, a smile creeps to the side of his face. He tried his best to hide his smile... but it grew bigger. Which made me start smiling.

"Nash?" I say, signalling his attention.

"Yeah?" He answers turning his body to me.

"You know its your child right." I sigh "You know... when Dylan got arrested. You know we did have sex a few months after that. You know there is no way that this child is Peyton's. If it was Peyton's child, then it would be three months old. Either its your child or i'm having a chimera."

He chuckles and twirls a lock of my hair. Still smiling. This guy, how can someone smile for so long.

"I know Kate, I just want you to know that I am over the moon happy if this child is mine. I love you and do you know how much it woukd hurt to see you having his child. I love you. I can say that so many times...you wouldn't even be able to count. Can you tell me how you feel about this?."

How do I feel about this?. I honestly don't know. My life has just been out of focus. Sometimes I don't even think this child is real. I look up at Nash and he gives me a sympatheic smile. I swear if I don't sort out my life soon, I am going to have a mental breakdown. For now...I know how I feel.

"I love you." Is all I say.

"That's how you feel?"

"That's how I feel."

"I love you too."

Dr. Hackett came in with the results. I gave the paper to Nash and he immediatley smiled. He turned to me and I could see tears glistening fro his green eyes.

"We're having a little Katey and Nashy bear." Nash shoves the paper in my hand.

"Twins?" I ask shocked.

"NO!" Nash shouts "I just meant we are having a mixture of Kate and Nash. Gosh, one child at a time Kate."

Our day ended in smiles.

Tons of Homework, I'm writing a novel called _________ (Sorry I can't tell you what it's called but it will hopefully be published at the end of this year. Or start of next year).
