"He asked you out to the dance?" Lily giggles uncontrollably.

"Yes Lily, Nash did ask me to the dance" I laugh along nodding my head.

"How did he ask you?"

"The exact same way he asked me to be his girlfriend"

"Okay get ready we're going shopping" Lily grabs me off the couch in her living room and to the front door.

"Lily I literally just finished tutoring your boyfriend" I groan "I'm tired"

"Well get your lazy ass up and lets have some shopping fun!" Lily says "Its almost 7PM and the shops are buzzing and I'm not taking no for an answer"

"You literally sound like Georgia from English" I sigh walking up to the front door.

"Aw, hell no. Georgia is annoying and I'm not"

"Whatever you say Lily"

I walk out the front door and out to the driveway where Lily's blue Mercedes was. I look back at Lily who is struggling do get her hair out of her black sweater. I smile at her and open the car door, she came in after while. The car ride was really annoying yet fun. Lily kept singing along to Wildest dreams. I am so not kidding if I'm not a mega Taylor Swift fan then Lily's already beat me to it.

Once we got to the mall, the cities were lit up and the mall was packed with tons of people. I wasn't expecting to see lots of people because; C'mon it's Detriot. Lily and I walked into the jam packed mall and immediately she found a dress she liked....In the first store she saw.

It seemed like a boutique. A very fancy and expensive one. It had a chandelier dangling from the ceiling as you walk in and mirror racks filled with clothes.

"Do you like this dress?" Lily said handing me a floral red dress.

"Yeah it's nice but probably for you not for me" I answered while looking around the shop.

"Really?" Lily shouted excitedly "I really liked this dress but I wanted to see if you wanted it. Yay, I'm not going to bother trying it on....I'll be right back, I'm going to pay"

"Okay"

I walked around the perfect line of clothes. This shop must really want to attract some costumers. After a while of just walking around the shop, I still didn't find anything I liked. Nothing.

Lily came back to where we were standing before. She had a bag in her hand so I know indeed that she bought something.

"Did you buy anything" she asks with a look of sympathy in her face.

I sigh "No but-"

"Excuse me Miss" a female voice came from behind me "Are you Kate Anders?"

I turn around to see a Middle Aged woman, with a high hairdo. She wore a black peplum dress and red glasses.

"Y-yes?" I answer, half stutter.

"Well a young man came this afternoon and picked out a lovely dress. He said he's expecting someone to bring you here. And he paid for the dress, I hope you love it" she smiled beaming "If I recall I think his name rhymed with Mash...I'm sorry I'm really hungry and I'm thinking potatoes"

I silently chuckle to myself. Nash.

"Nash?"

"Yes! That's his name" she exclaimed.

"Uh okay, where do I find the dress?"

"Up the back. Let me bring it to you, wait here"

I turn to Lily, who was trying to pull off the innocent 'I didn't know about' look. And it obviously wasn't working.

"You knew about it didn't you, that's why you brought me here?" I cross my arms against my chest talking my foot impatiently.

"Who me?"

"Yes you!"

"Couldn't be!"

"Then who?" Okay I see where this is going.

"Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar" Lily stifles a laugh but in the end we burst out laughing. I could feel my cheeks hurt, that's how hard we were laughing.

"Here it is" The lady came back holding my dress "I hope you like it"

She hands me the dress and I'm shocked. It looks so flawless. It is a blue dress that washes out to be pink at the bottom. It also had jewels at the hem of the dress. It is so pretty, I feel like I'm damaging it just by holding it. This must have cost a fortune.

"T-Thanks, don't I have to pay?" It wouldn't feel right not paying, it looks so expensive.

"No, your boyfriend has got it all covered" she smiles "It's a good thing you were best friends, great minds think alike"

I had absolutely no idea what the sales lady just said so I nodded and went out the mall with Lily.
