The Beast King
I stood there stupified as those same pair of yellow eyes of my dream were now staring right down at me intently.
I gulped upon noticing his 6'4 intimidating height. He could crush me anytime with just a snap of his finger.
He was wearing a white transcendental cloth while little golden borders were giving it a royal sophisticated look whilst a midnight black velvety clock was hanging on his broad shoulders— dusting where he was standing.
His pale golden bronze skin would put the brightest sun in shame. His lips were fuller like rose petals pressed into a thin line.
His black, thick fur-like hair reached a little above his nape while some strands were dancing over his forehead. A diamond crown was above his head— in middle, a crimson Ruby was shining.
My heart skipped a beat when my eyes landed on his glowing yellow orbs— as deep as a burning forest. As if something was really burning inside him which had the energy to devour the world.
I had never seen a man as attractive as him before. For a minute, I completely forgot that I was standing in the middle of the night, in just a negligee, with a mysterious creature whom I met in my dreams.
It sounded stupid back then but the intensity of the situation convinced me otherwise.
As if time stopped still at that moment.
My subconscious alerted me, 'He is a monster. He is here to kill you.'
"Ah!" I screamed loudly and ran from there as fast as my leg carried me but in the next second, he stood again in front of me with all his majestic glory.
I flinched back and almost collapsed to the ground before he decided to speak,
"Don't be scared. I'm Sapphy." His voice was unbelievably smooth and velvety as if honey was dripping out from it.
'It couldn't belong to any human being.'
"Sa-sapphy?"
"You should call me, Beast King."
'Be-beast Ki-king?'
"A-are you the little white owl that I sa-saved?" I chocked out in a trembling voice.
"I'm not an owl! I'm the Beast King." He snapped and I almost cried in fear. Although his voice sounded calm and collective.
"Weren't you looking for me? Why're you afraid when I show up?"
"But... You..." I tried to come up with a speech but only incoherent words messed up my mind.
"You healed my wound and took care of me when I was injured. I remember it all. I'll do anything to return your favor. Tell me, anything that you want."
"I do-don't need anything." I shook my head, "It's good to know you're fine. I didn't cure you for anything in return."
"It was your honor to heal my wound. But I don't accept favors. I don't like charity work nor did I let anyone hold grudges against me. Tell me, how to pay you back."
"I told you, I don't want anything." Furrowing my brows I was about to pass him when his cold voice boomed,
"Do you want me to take down your café too, Isabella?"
'Wait, what?'
I turned around with a skeptical look as he stared down at me blankly.
"S-so is that you, who-"
"Yes. Your father lost this house to me a long time ago. I gave him time but he never paid off my money."
Suddenly an idea clicked my mind as I looked up at him with hopeful eyes.
"Th-there's one thing if you really want to p-pay me back. I want you to give up my house."
Heavy silence covered us as with each passing second I felt my heartbeat increase more in anticipation.
'What was he thinking so much?'
'Didn't he just offer me to fulfill my wish?'
'He would sur-'
"No."
Now it was my turn to be shocked.
'Was he joking with me all this time?'
"As it's my responsibility to fulfill your wish, I would never allow anyone to come in between my business. Your father lost it and I'm not used to sharing my prized possession with anyone." He declared giving me a look to not argue anymore.
The disappointment was cleared as water on my face as I forced back a smile in return.
"Okay then, I don't have any wish-"
"You've to. I'm not going to leave you until you tell me your wish." He promised and disappeared in thin air, leaving a trail of golden sparks behind.
