Not a Damsel In Destress
"You look absolutely terrible," Jasker informed as she came out of Geralts room and she hit the back of his head.
"I know I try really hard to look like I tempted by a horse anyway what is the plan for today? Also i am very hungry," Claire informed.
"I'll get something to eat you two stay here," Geralt informed.
"And if I refuse to be a Damsel in destress?" She asked.
"You aren't in distress but you need to heal, stay here or I will tie you to the bed," he said as he got up close and personal with her.
"Really like you would do that! Please I'm more likely to do that then you dear witcher," she informed.
"There isn't a thing I wouldn't do to you," he said as she smirked looking up at him.
"Really? Do tell me what exactly would you do to me witcher," she smiled as Jaskier looked at them oddly.
"I would tie you to the bed and leave you there till nightfall so I could hunt in peace," he said making her smile.
"I think you need a woman to sleep with, you are getting a bit cranky and I can tell. You normally have my hair all fixed up if we bath together and you didn't do it. I do thank you for giving me a bath though, you have a soft spot for cats," she smiled.
"I don't need a woman to sleep with I have one standing in front of me. She may turn into a feline but I would rather have a cats company then a whores," he said as he left.
"I tried to get him a whore but he was more worried about you," Jaskier informed.
"Figures, he needs to enjoy life not babysit me honestly. I really hate it, but then again we have to babysit you just because you can't fight and you just run away and sleep with as many women as possible. You are more of a Damsel in distress then I am," she muttered very annoyed.
"Am not!" He protested.
"Are too and I can prove it with one move," she said as she kicked him in the balls.
"Ow!" He said as she went after Geralt.
"Geralt! Where could have that man have gone! I really need to get bells and put them on his thick ass!" She huffed as she looked around town.
A lot of people seemed not to care but she needed to find him. They needed supplies and him being out in the woods didn't seem like a great idea to her. Also she wasn't feeling the best, her whole body hurt and she needed him to leave her behind. She was becoming to much of a problem and she knew it. Clare new he cared but that us what got people killed. It was sweet that he cared about her but it was time to part ways.
"Geralt!" She hollered making some of the villagers look at her oddly.
The pain was getting worse but she ignored it. As long as she got some rest she should be fine hopefully. Tonight was going to be extremely difficult for her but at least hopefully tonight she was going to be able to suffer alone.
"Excuse me, have you seen a white haired witcher anywhere? He is a big guy couldn't miss him even if you tried," she asked one of the towns people.
"No, try the grave yard," a man muttered.
"Friendly folks all of you aren't you? Better go check the woods," she sighed as she headed off into the woods.
She couldn't go any further without her legs felling like they were going to snap in half. not like they felt like that before but if she was going to have the strength to do anything by herself today she needed to go back and eat maybe even sleep. She didn't understand why he wasn't sleeping with women while she was around sure what he said was the sweetest thing any one especially a man has ever said to her.
"I am starving and Geralt is no where to be seen! Better go back to the inn!" she muttered as she looked for Geralt for about an hour or more by now.
She went back to the inn and got some food but immediately threw it up with a whole bunch of blood. She was now even more upset now then she was five minutes ago and Jaskier looked at her with sympathy. She was extremely used to this but that didn't make it easier for her. She learned ways around it well for almost everything but Claire was still in a lot of pain no matter what.
"Does it hurt when you do that?" Jaskier asked.
"You get used to it, the worst is when your bones start breaking when you turn," she sighed as a man put his hand on her shoulder.
Claire knew it wasn't Geralt and Jaskier's look also gave it away.
"You have until I count to five or I beat you into the ground," she said as she drank some ale to get rid of the blood taste in her mouth.
"How about you have until the count of five to come to my room," the man smirked as she took his hand off of her shoulder.
"You are not my type and my husband will be back soon," she informed making the man chuckle.
"Well that means he isn't here now," he informed as he picked her up by her waist.
"Put me down!" She yelled as Jaskier stood up.
"Sir! Put her down please..." Jaskier said as the man laughed.
"Really?! Please? Jaskier punch him in the dam face already!" She yelled yelled as Geralt came back and dropped the boar he had on the floor and everyone put looked at him.
"Put her down right now," he ordered making the man look at him confused.
He dropped her on the floor breaking one of her legs. It was a sickening snap making him look at the man angerily.
"I hate people so much!" She growled as Jaskier helped her up.
"I didn't know she was married to a witcher!" He informed as Geralt got out his knife.
"Witchers are hated creatures and you broke her leg," he informed.
"Geralt just forget about it! I'm fine you don't need to prove you are a big strong man," she informed extremely annoyed as her leg started healing.
She was extremely annoyed but he knew the only reason why that would be was if she was in a lot of pain. Her leg broke and the blood the plate she had was hers. Claire's curse was acting up and it was hurting her. He put his knife away and tried to head over to Claire but the man pulled out a knife.
"Of corse, Jaskier stand up please," she informed as he did what she asked and she grabbed his chair.
She picked it up and broke the chair over the man's head knocking him out instantly.
"I don't appreciate being man handled by a perverted old man!" She growled.
"Um we should go," Jaskier informed as everyone seemed angry.
"Gladly!" She said as her leg broke again.
"Make up your dam mind! Be broken or heal it isn't that hard to decide!" She growled as Geralt went to her side and picked her up.
"I really hate this!" She muttered as he carried her out of the inn.
"You seem to like it when I carry you when you are a cat," Geralt informed.
"That is when I don't have a human mind!" She growled.
"I know you are hurting and you always frustrated-" Geralt informed.
"Frustrated! Frustrated! I'm angry, you need to leave behind. I told Jaskier if things got bad I think yesterday my legs are not working! I'm going to slow you down and I could barely get that guy off of me!" She growled.
"I'm not leaving you, I know this is hard but I will fix this. I have a witch friend and hoping she will be able to help me with this curse. Ciri might even be able to fix this curse," he informed.
"As if! Geralt thank you for all your help but there is a time to give up and move on and it is time now," she informed.
"Well I would like to ignore your opinion and listen to mine. I will help you even if you think you are to far gone to save. No one is ever to far gone to save," he informed.
"Plus you broke a chair over that guys head!" Jaskier smiled.
"Barely was able to do that... Geralt tonight it isn't going to be a easy," she informed as she rubbed her legs.
"Then we better get going to the next town over," Geralt informed helping her up but he had he hold her by her waist since her legs were giving way under her weight.
She was good at hiding her pain and Geralt knew it was just a matter of time before he would have to help her with everything but he didn't mind it. He was determined to save her but he hoped that what she did didn't shorten her already short life span.
