(Amethyst's pov)
After a few days of training Petra we set the bird free and went home. On the way there we ran into a rather suspicious looking man. "Uh can we help you sir?" Petra asked as I just leaned against the wall and crossed my arms. "Are you the thugs here?" He asked. "Yes..." I replied. "I suppose so. I have a job for you." He said. I sighed and walked past him. "We're not accepting jobs from people from above." I spat and walked upstairs

"I already paid the debt tho...." He sighed. This stopped me in my tracks. I looked back at him and see a smile "go on." I said coldly he told us the job and we followed him to another old man. "So this is them?" He asked as the man. "Yes it is." The older man replied "what is this job?" I ask coldly.

"I need you to lure in the survey corpse." The man replied. My eyes widen "I see. We'll take you up on that!" I said smirking.

Time skip some minutes later
As me and my team walk quietly through the town. "So is this job legit?" Ruby asked. "Totally! I mean who else offers a citizenship and a free pass to live above ground!?" Petra said as I nodded and launched off. No soon after we all took off the survey corps came "the Military Police again? Don't they ever learn? Hey Amethyst -bro what I said was cool right?"

"Your an idiot.... Those green capes have the wings of freedom on it... It's the survey corps." I said coldly. Then we all split up running away from the survey corps. I pass through a small almost demolished building and then one guy came crashing on top of me. He had Raven black undercut hair, greyish blue eyes and a cold face.

I do a back flip and pull out my knife after a short bit he has me by the wrists. 'Ok how the hell am I gonna get out?' I thought. "Look around you..." He said coldly. I look around to find Ruby and Petra handcuffed and mostly Petra Struggling. I look back at this man who I assume is their captain and drop my knife and back away.

"Tch. Your good at reading the situation I see." He said again coldly. Then one of his men handcuffed me and made me get on my knees. "Tch. I'm gonna ask you some questions and you are to answer them.... Where did u get this 3dmg gear?" He asked. I didn't answer "do you have military training of any kind?" He asked coldly getting amusement out of this. Then the person behind me grabs my by my hair and slams my face into the puddle. I then heard Ruby gasp

"No! We don't have any kind of military training just Let my sister go!" She yelled. I could almost feel his smirk. The man let me go and I spat out whatever was in my mouth. He then knealt down in front of me. "What's your name?" He asked. I paused for a moment "My actual name.... Is Vanessa...... But I go by the name Amethyst." I stated coldly.

He got up "I'll make you a deal Amethyst. If you want to live a life above ground and without your crimes.... Come join the survey corpse." He said coldly. "And if I refuse?" I ask. "Then you and your friends will serve your sentence in the prison while the M.P's do horrible things to you." He explained.

I thought for a moment. "Fine." I paused again. "I'll join the survey corpse."
