Chapter Two : I was thinking of ways to kill you without letting any trace.
I hate my sister. Since that Sunday when Cameron came in my house and I gave him my help, I couldn't stop thinking about his ugly face. Well, it wasn't that ugly... but it annoyed me. That was my sister's fault. She put it in my head that I liked Cameron and I didn't. I couldn't like that guy. He was my sister's brother in law for God's sake!
"What is that head of yours thinking?" he asked. I was sitting in lunch, eating my macaroni and thinking about him. Speak of the devil...
"What do you want Cameron?" I rolled my eyes as he sat in the chair opposite to me and grabbing my fries. "Leave my fries alone!" I complained as he barked a laughter.
"What are they? Humans?" he managed to say between his laughters.
"They're more human than you." I muttered and stuck my tongue at him. I looked at the macaroni and crunged. They were gross. God knew with what they are were made of.
"So, what were you thinking about Nerdhead?" he repeated his question. Today he was wearing a white t-shirt, which showed his defined abdomen. His hair were messy as usual and his eyes were staring directly at me.
"You." I confessed as he raised an eyebrow and a smirk made it's way to his lips. I knew perfectly what he was thinking. Well, pretty boy, you're gonna be disappointed. "I was thinking of ways to kill you without letting any trace." I smirked back.
"McKanzie Garfield!" A terribly known voice called me. Only one person had that voice. Was it possible for her to be here? What were the odds?
I turned my head slowly around as my eyes caught a sight of someone who I thought I wouldn't meet. "Jennifer!" The sound I made was inhuman but who cared? I didn't, that's for sure. I stood up from my seat and ran towards her, tackling her to the ground. "God, I missed you so much." I said as I hugged her tight.
"Jesus Christ woman!" she groaned as I let her go and we stood up in our feet. "You never change." she laughed. She used to be my best friend but she moved here two years ago, in sophomore year.
We used to be inseparable. There was no Jennifer without McKanzie and no McKanzie without Jennifer.
"I missed you so, so much." I hugged her one more time as she laughed. We walked towards my table and Jennifer sat to the chair next to me. I ignored Cameron and kept my attention to Jennifer. She had changed so much since the last time I saw her. Her blonde hair were straight, different from the curls she used to have and also had some brown highlights. Her blue eyes had a beautiful sparkiling and I knew the reason why. She was either in love or had won the lottery.
Someone coughed, or should I say, Cameron coughed. "I'm still here." he said annoyed. He was looking angirly at Jennifer but his face softened as he looked at me. Was it just me or something smelled?
"So?" I raised an eyebrow. "Go find another to bother." I added and stuck my tongue at him. He got up and stormed out of the cafeteria, cursing under his breath. Angry much? Jeez.
"I see that you already met the Cameron Court." Jennifer said as I groaned.
"Don't remind me please. Clara is married to his brother." I stated and ate one of my fries. They were gross, but it's the best that this school has. Every food in this school was uneatable.
"Oliver?" she asked surprised. "Never thought that one would get married." she stated, sipping on her Coke.
"Where have you been?" I asked after a while. School started a week ago and I hadn't seen her around.
"I was in Texas. My grandma died." Her eyes watered as she spoke. Jennifer loved her grandmother so I knew it must have been hard for her.
"I'm sorry." I patted her shoulder.
"Thanks. How have you been?" she asked pointing at me. I paused.
"Good." I lied. I was far from it.
"Bullsh*t." she said rather harshly. "You can't fool me McKanzie."
"I miss them." I confessed, trying to hold my tears. I hated this subject. It always brought me some memories that I didn't want to remember. I knew they were gone and would never come back, but that didn't mean I had accepted it. No child could accept the loss of their parents. The bell rang, signalizing the end of lunch. "What do you have now?" I asked Jennifer.
"Math." she groaned. I had Math too. That class was going to be a long one.

Waiting at the dentist is BORING! Do you get it, boring. I had a dentist's appointment today at four o'clock and it was already four thirty. I had been waiting for half an hour here and I was on the verge of exploding.
"McKanzie Garfield." the receptionist called my name, interrupting my crazy thoughts.
I stood up from the uncomfortable plastic chair and walked towards the counter. "It's me." I said, smiling at her, a fake smile, more like forced. I wanted to strangle her for making me wait thirty minutes. Seriously, I should have stopped with those criminal movies. They were a bad influence.
"Dr. Rogers is waiting for you." she stated and showed me the door of the dentist's office. It was a black door, with 'Dr.William Rogers.' in it. I knocked on the door and opened it. I expected my dentist to be a fat old man, but he was quite the opposite. He was handsome, the freckles on his cheeks made him cute even.
"Mrs. Garfield." he said and winked at me. Oh God! I was definitely going crazy.
"Y-Yes." I stammered. Could I be more stupid? No, I had reached the upper level of Stupid.
"Take a seat." Dr. Rogers said in a professional tone. I nodded and took a seat on the chair of death. I hated that chair, it was pure torture. He walked towards me and smiled. "How was your first week without braces?" he asked. He was the one who took off my braces but I was too scared to pay attention to him.
"Weird. I mean, I have had braces for two years so..." I said honestly. He nodded and gestured me to open my mouth. He examined my teeth for a good two minutes before speaking.
"Your teeth are healthy." he said and I sighed in relief. I didn't like coming at the dentist, even though that opinion might change. "I need you to brush them at least twice a day and to not eat much sugar, especially candies." he said and I stared at him. No candies? But I couldn't live without my candies.
"No candies?" I whined as Dr. Rogers chuckled.
"Yup, no candies miss. You don't want to come here again, do you?" he raised an eyebrow. If you are my dentist, I want to.
"No, I don't want to." I lied. Why did this conversation sound like he was talking to a five years old? Oh, right, I was acting like one. "But, can I eat at least two in a day?" I pleaded, making a puppy face.
"One." he said and I hesitantly, painfully agreed. Well, one was better than nothing. "Well then, I expect you to come here for me to examine your teeth again."
"Fine." I smiled and grabbed my bag. "Goodbye, Mr. Rogers." I greeted and opened the door, fake-smiling to the receptionist and heading home.

I unlocked the door of my house and entered inside. The lights were off and it seemed like no one was home.
Clink!
Or so I thought. Someone was in the kitchen and it wasn't Clara or Oliver. I knew it because if it was one of them the lights would be turned on and there would be singing or screaming or something like that. The point is that when one of them was in the kitchen, it was never silence.
Oh my God! That was when it hit me.
A robber had broken into my house! My heart began beating fast. I was going to die. But I didn't want to die. I was only seventeen for God's sake. I hadn't had my first kiss and I wanted to be a famous writer. I'm too young to die. I'm too young to die. I kept repeating this to myself. Why was this happening to me? Why didn't the robber choose the house next to mine?
The light turned on and I screamed. He found me. Not that I tried to hide. I was going to die. McKanzie Garfield, this was your last day in this world. Well, it was nice meeting you world. I closed my eyes shut and waited for the pain. Was he going to kill me fast or let me in pain and suffering? "Nerdhead!" he called. Huh? My robber and my soon-to-be murderer knew I was a nerd? But how? I didn't have my glasses on. Had I written it in my forehead that I was nerd? "Nerdhead, are you okay?" my murderer asked as I kept my eyes shut still. I didn't want to see my murderer in the eye. Wait a minute, why was my murderer asking me if I'm okay?
"Please don't kill me! I'll give you all my money, even though I don't have much. Please, I don't want to die. I'm too young, I haven't had my first kiss in the sunset, at the beach. I have a dream, you know. Have you ever had a dream? Because everybody has a dream, right? Well my dream is to be a writer and to have my own publishing house. My book will be best seller and I'd be so famous and I'll sign autographs, I even will give you a signed book from me. Please don't kill me." I rambled. Then I heard something I never imagined to hear, laughter. He was laughing at me? Who gave him the right to laugh at me? The only right he had was to murder me.
Already angered, I opened my eyes and gasped at the person in front of me. "Cameron?" I screamed. He was on the floor, laughing and keeping his stomach with his hands. My murderer was Cameron? Oh my freaking God! Why did I always embarrass myself in front of him?
He seemed to calm down from his laughter as he stood up and straightened himself. "Your...face." he started laugh again. You're going to pay for this Hot Piece Of Meat!
I lunged at him and tackled him to the ground. He cursed under his breath from the sudden movement. "You freaking rotten egg!" I yelled as I hit his chest.
"Easy Nerdhead." he smirked as I stopped hitting him. I was on top of him and our faces were only inches apart. His hot breath hit my nostrils and I felt dizzy. Darn!
He rolled us over so he was on top of me, his green eyes looking directly at my brown ones, with intensity. He kept looking between my eyes and my lips until he began leaning down. Was he going to kiss me? Was he going to be my first kiss? He leaned but in the moment our lips barely brushed, he turned to my ear. "We're not in sunset, Nerdhead." he smirked and his breath tickled my ear and my heart thumped out of my chest.
He stood up and left in the kitchen. I stood still, not knowing what to do. He was going to kiss me. Cameron freaking Court was going to kiss me. Standing up from the ground, I grabbed my school bag and ran upstairs to my room. I closed the door and leaned my back against it. What if he had kissed me? What would have happened? What if-
Stop it McKanzie, you don't like him.
Yeah, that's right, I don't like him.
I left my bag in my bed and went to bathroom to get a shower.
***
"So, Nerdhead, you want to be a writer huh?" Cameron asked, smirking and making me want to rip his head. After my shower, I stayed in my room for thirty minutes before I got bored. I decided to come and eat a sandwich but that stupid Cameron wouldn't leave me alone. Now, I was in the living room, trying to watch TV but he wouldn't let me.
"Shut up." I scowled and shot him the most murederous glare I could. He chuckled and and sat nearer. I backed but he continued sitting nearer until we reached the end of the sofa and I fell in the floor with a loud thump. "Owww." I moaned and Cameron laughed. "What is wrong with you?" I yelled in anger.
"Nothing." he winked and I groaned in frustration.
"We're home." Clara yelled from the door and I sighed in relief and got up. At least I wouldn't be alone with him anymore and they had something to explain. I walked towards them with a frowned face.
"Which one of you gave him a key?" I asked, crossing my arms and glaring at them both. Oliver was trying to hold a laughter while Clara grinned. What the freaking Batman was wrong with them? I almost died from a heart attack when I came home and they laugh at me. Life's no fair.
"McKanzie, I guess you should sit down." Oliver said, more like chuckled.
"Why?" I asked in confusion.
"Nerdhead, I'm living with you from now on."

Hi, the end of the week means new chapter. I had so much fun writing this, especially the last part. My poor baby McKanzie. Anyways, I want to thank all of you who voted and supported me on this. I was very sceptical if I wanted to publish this book because I didn't think anyone would like it, but I'm glad I was wrong. Thank mysteriousthoughtss because she convinced me to post this.
So until next week....
Love y'all
Jenny.
