Chapter 6 : Freaking Spiderman, Batman, Superman! I get it.
I hated my dentist. I wanted to eat my candies and I couldn't eat more than one. And one wasn't enough for me, it wasn't enough for anybody.
"Cinderella, why are you pacing back and forth?" Cameron asked. His hair were all over his head, some of them on his forehead.
"I need my babies!" I whined, still pacing back and forth like a mad woman. I needed sugar or else I would go crazy.
Cameron looked at me like I was insane. "You're weird." he stated. How many times had he said that? I was weird so what?
"So I've been told, I want to eat candies." I yelled.
"Eat them if you want to so much." he said in a 'duh' tone. Yeah, like that was easy.
"I can't. My dentist forbade me." I whined again and stopped pacing.
"Do you want ice-cream?" he suddenly suggested.
"Ice-cream?" I raised an eyebrow. He nodded. "Fine." I agreed and climbed up the stairs to my room, with Cameron behind me. "What are you doing?" I asked as I stopped in front of my room's door.
"I need a shower." he said casually.
"Well, you'll have to wait because I will shower first."
"Nope, me first."
"It's my bathroom!"
"Don't care."
"I'm showering first."
"How about together." as soon as he said that, I slapped his arm. How the freaking Spiderman could he say that? Me and him... in a shower together? Never in a million years.
"Rock, paper, scissors." I suggested. He agreed. "Rock, paper, scissors." we said in a same time. I had rock and he had rock too. "Rock, paper, scissors." he had scissors and I had letter.
"I win." Cameron said triumphantly. Freaking peaches! He smirked and entered in my room. I followed him and sat on my bed. He took some clothes from his drawer and went to the bathroom, slamming the door shut. Smartbutt! I heard the shower running and him starting to sing. He was singing and Ed Sheeran song, I guess it was I See Fire. I never knew he heard Ed Sheeran. His voice wasn't too bad, in fact it was wonderful. So wonderful that made me go to the door to hear him closer. What was happening to me?
The door opened and Cameron was only an inch away from me. I was facing his bare chest. He smelled like strawberries. Whoops, it was my shampoo. I didn't dare to raise my head because I didn't know if I would resist him anymore. I liked him so much and I wanted to kiss him so badly.
Stop it McKanzie, he doesn't like you.
What was I thinking? He doesn't like me. I'm so stupid. "Are you finished?" I hissed. I didn't know why I reacted in that way. It wasn't his fault that he didn't like me. It wasn't like I was the most beautiful girl in the world. There were plenty of girls better than me.
"Yeah." he said. I walked past him and entered in the bathroom, locking the door behind me. Maybe a hot shower would relax me and snap me out of my crazy thoughts. I entered in the shower and turned on the water, not caring that my clothes were on.

To be honest, the ice-cream was amazing. I didn't know where Cameron had found this place but this was the best ice-cream I'd ever eaten. We must have been looking like crazy eating ice-cream when outside was raining. Yup, the rain decided to make an appearance today. "You wanna do something crazy?" I asked Cameron. He looked at me for a moment and then a mischievous smirk appeared on his lips.
"What?" he raised an eyebrow and leaned closer on me. We were in opposite sides of the table but he somehow managed to sit next to me right now, to torture me. He leaned closer until his breath hit my neck. Holy blessed apples! What was this guy doing to me? "Cinderella?" he said my name in a seducing tone and made me want to kiss the life out of him. That was way too easy. I just had to turn my head and our lips would be smashed together but I wasn't doing it. I. Would. Not. Kiss. Him...yet.
"Nothing, I changed my mind." I said quickly. After that I didn't think I would want to pass more time with him if he would be acting that way. "Can we go home now? It's getting colder and I don't want to be sick."
"I think it's getting hotter here, not cold, Cinderella." he smirked. God help me!!
"Fine." I grumbled and stood up from my chair. "You stay here. I'm going home." I scowled and left a dollar in the table. Then I turned around and walked towards the entrance.
Immediately the cold air brushed my body and I shivered. That's what I got for not getting a jacket with me. The rain was getting heavier and heavier and I couldn't go outside like this or I'd catch a cold, probably hypothermia. Curse you Cameron! Curse you hormones!
Two hands touched my shoulders, making me jump in surprise. "What the-"
"Freaking Spiderman, Batman, Superman! I get it." Cameron finished off for me. I giggled then remembered that I was mad at him. He was the reason that I was out in the rain. He took off his jacket and threw it over my shoulders. His scent engulfed me and I tried not to smell it like a mad person I was. He really smelled good, it wasn't my fault here. "Tell anyone that I gave you my jacket and I'll murder you in your sleep." Cameron chuckled and I gave him a look. "So, what was that crazy thing you wanted to do, huh?" he asked.
"Well, I wanted to go out in the rain, but it's cold so it's a bad idea." I mumbled. It seemed a good idea earlier, but the cold changed my mind. Like I said, I didn't want to get sick.
"Come on. I think it's a good idea." Cameron said. Why did I have to open my big mouth?
"No." I stomped on my foot.
"Chicken." Oh no, he was not going to use that card with me.
"I'm not a chicken."
"Then come on." he challenged. Fine Cameron, you win. I took his jacket off of my shoulders and handed it to him. Taking a deep breath, I prepared myeslf to go out on the rain.
Come one McKanzie, it's just a rain.
One.
Two.
Three.
I ran from where I was into the rain. The rain was cold but it felt amazing. Cameron followed me and we ran in the rain like crazy. The people were staring at us, but I could care less. I think I heard someone yell "delinquent teenagers". It felt good to do something crazy. And like the crazy people we were, we started playing Tag. Well, since we didn't take the car, we had to walk home. It was Cameron's time to tag me and I ran like my life depended on it. Manhattan's streets usually were busy at this time of the year, but since today was raining, they were empty. And we had the street all to ourselves. "You will never catch me." I yelled through the rain. I ran faster until I was facepalmed to the ground. What the freaking marshmallows happened?
I turned around and Cameron was on top of me, holding his weight with his arms and his face just inches away from mine. His hair were dripping wet from the rain and drops of water fell to my face. "What did you say Cinderella?" he asked in a husky voice. He leaned closer and in the moment I thought he was going to kiss me... BAM!!! The universe hated me.
He rolled over and lied next to me. It was the third time we almost kissed today. Maybe it was a sign from universe that we shouldn't kiss together. We weren't for one another so I better get over him and return to the unnoticed girl I was before. "Are you okay?" he suddenly asked. Physically yes, emotionally no.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I answered. I mentally facepalmed myself for being so nervous. I got up and started to run again. "It's still your turn." I muttered and continued to run. He eventually got up as well and ran behind me. He caught me five minutes later and then I ran after him until we arrived home. In the moment we arrived at the front door, to say we were wet, would be a huge understatement. My clothes were sticking on my skin and I couldn't wait to get them off. Cameron was no better. His hair were covering his forehead and eyes. But still he looked hot. Yeah, the guy had the ability to look hot on a rainy day.
I unlocked the door and entered inside. "McDonalds!" someone called. I froze. It wasn't Cameron, he never called me like that. And neither did Oliver. There was only one male in my life that called me by that name. It wasn't possible. What was he doing here? Did he have a death wish? "McKanzie?" he tried again. I didn't dare to turn around. It had been two years since I last saw him. Two freaking years and he expected me to go all happy dance with him. He didn't tell me the truth. He just left and I waited for him every night, every single night and he didn't come. He didn't even bother to make a phone call or to send a letter. Anything. Seven-hundred and thirty days without a single communication.
I wanted to speak, I wanted to move, to react, but I couldn't. I just stood there, frozen. I wanted to scream at him, to ask him why he left us, to hug him, to say that I missed him, but no word would come out. Say something McKanzie!
"Get out!" the words came out before I could stop them. I didn't want to see him. "Get out!" I repeated, this time louder.
"McKanzie, please listen." he pleaded but I wouldn't change my mind. Anything that he could say couldn't explain the two years of absence. "Please." he begged.
I wanted to hear him, but I couldn't. I wasn't ready. "No, I don't want to hear anything. Just go back to where you were and forget all about me or Clara." I yelled and ran up the stairs, not looking at him. Opening my room's door, I slid on it and cried. I had promised to myself that I wouldn't cry for him but the tears had a mind of their own. They just flowed freely from my eyes.
I don't know for how long I cried, but when I stopped, it wasn't raining anymore. Someone knocked on the door. "Leave me alone." I whisper-yelled. I didn't want to see anyone right now. I just wanted to curl up on my bed and sleep. I got up and walked towards the bathroom. I took off my wet clothes and entered in the shower, letting the hot water hit my skin. It immediately relaxed me and I stayed there until the water turned cold. I didn't have clothes in here so I just wrapped myself in a towel and got out of the bathroom. Cameron was sitting on my bed, scrolling through his phone. "What are you doing here?" I asked, my voice scrappy because of crying so much. I didn't care though, I just wanted to be alone.
He looked startled art first but recovered. I tightened the towel around my body. "Oh, I just came to see if you were okay." he said and stood up, walking towards me.
"As you can see, I'm prefectly fine. Now get out." I ordered and stepped back, tightening the towel more around my naked body. "Please Cameron, I want to be alone." I pleaded. His face softened and he nodded.
"Promise you'll tell me eveything." he spoke, his eyes boring into mine. Those forest green eyes-
Snap out of it McKanzie!
"I promise." he left the room and I lost no time but dressed quickly on my pyjamas and curled up in my bed. I saw the clock, five in the afternoon. It was that late.
