Chapter 7: Do you want the queen beach away from you or not?
I hated being sick. My great idea of the other day gave its effects. From being a crazy idea, it turned into a suicidal one.
Just kidding.
Well, since I was so wise and stayed crying in wet clothes for almost two hours, I got the flu. And I felt horrible. My nose was like a waterfall, my head hurt, I had fever and like that wasn't enough, that stupid cough made an appearance. The only good thing about that was that I had to stay home and not go to school, just for one day though. Usually, the flu only lasted for twenty four hours. Last night was pretty long, but I wasn't part of it. As soon as I finished eating, I went to my room and slept, only to wake up in the morning sick.
I saw him though. He was just like I remembered him. His eyes were blue, lile my mom's, but not with the happiness that they used to have before. He was thinner but taller. Let's say, he was the half of what he was before. I missed him, so much. He was my big brother, my dad, everything. After my parents died, he took the role of being them. I missed the time when every Sunday we used to play soccer together. We even built a tree house. Until he left. He never left an explanation. Nothing. I remembered that night like it happened yesterday.
Flashback.
"Connor!" I called. I woke up in the middle of the night because I had a nightmare. I used to have these nightmares when I was younger but it had been more that four years since I last had them. Connor always slept with me eveytime I had these nightmares. I was wandering through the house in the dark until I reached his room. I knocked on the door, but no one responded. I knocked again, but still nothing. I decided to just open the door. When I opened it and turned on the light, the room was empty. The bed was made and it seemed like no one had been here since morning. Where was he?
I got out of the room and searched all over the house, but there wasn't no one. Where could he be? He never leaves at night. Has something happened to him? Panick came to me. No, he was okay. I went to Clara's room. "Clara, wake up!" I panted. She woke up immediately.
"What is it McKanzie?" she asked sleepily.
"Connor is nowhere to be seen." I said, tears welling up on my eyes.
"What are you talking about?" she asked worried now.
"He is not in his room. I'm scared. What if he is not okay? What if something had happened to him?" I cried as Clara hugged me. I had a bad feeling about it. I knew Connor was not okay.
End of flashback.
After that night, I waited for him every day and night, but he never came, for two whole years. And that wasn't something I could easily forgive.
"Cinderella!" I forgot to tell you that Cameron stayed home to take care of me. What a gentleman? Besides, I was having a lot of fun. He felt guilty for taking me out on the rain and he was doing everything I requested.
"What?" I asked.
"Can we talk about what happened yesterday?" he questioned softly, taking a seat next to me on the couch. Oh boy!
"Please Cameron-"
"You promised." he raised an eyebrow and then made a puppy face. Curse you Cameron!
"Fine. Jesus Christ! You sound like a girl." I muttered. He smirked and then I told him everything about Connor and my parents. That was a really good story. Note the sarcasm.
"So, he left without an explanation." Cameron said after I finished my story.
"Yeah, Sherlock. How did you guess it?" I was more sarcastic than usually. The flu was affecting me more than I thought.
"What are you going to do?" he asked, being serious.
"For me, he could go to where he was. I don't care anymore." I said then coughed. Ugh, my poor throat.
"He really looked like he was sorry."
"Yeah, right. Would you forgive your daddy for cheating on your mommy?" I spat. He frowned and looked down. "That's what I thought." I high fived myself for winning this argument. An idea popped on my mind. "Now that I told you my story, will you tell me what is going on between you, Jennifer and Arden?" I asked, more like ordered. He owed me though.
"Nope Cinderella." he smirked, but I noticed that he clenched his fists when I mentioned Arden.
"Why not?" I whined.
"It is not your business." he hissed and stormed out of the living room. What was it with him and his bipolar brain?
The doorbell rang and I stood up to open the door. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. There stayed Jennifer, Arden, Blake and another girl I didn't know, but I was sure I'd seen her before because she looked familiar. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked confused.
"My Kizzy Bear is sick." Arden said in a baby tone and attacked me with a bear hug, like he always did.
"Easy cowboy!" I chuckled, then I remembered something. Cameron was here! Arden was here! Holy mother of Superman!
We got up from the ground, because when Arden hugged me, he tackled me to the floor. "How's the sick girl doing?" Jennifer asked as they entered in the house. I still had to know who the mysterious girl was. Well...
"Terrible." I coughed and sat back on the couch, wrapping my blanket around me. Finally warm again. "Who are you?" I asked the mysterious girl. She had black hair, with some straight red highlights and a pair of blue eyes that were extremely shining. She seemed nice enough.
"I'm Addison." she answered smiling. The look on my face must have awakened the others, because I was like the most clueless person in the world.
"She is my sister." Blake explained. 'What is she doing here?' I wanted to ask but I didn't want to sound rude. What did catch my attention was that Cameron hadn't come out yet. I was sure he heard them come here.
"How was school today?" I asked and they all gave me an are-you-seriously-making-that-question look.
"Boring?" Arden said in a 'duh' tone. I chuckled and hit his arm. "So, Kizzy Bear, why did you get sick in the first place?"
"I might have stayed in the rain yesterday..." I whispered innocently.
"You, rain in the same sentence. It doesn't make sense. You hate rain." Jennifer stated surprised. I skipped this detail earlier. Yeah, I hated rain but I kinda wanted to spend time with Cameron yesterday.
"Well..." I trailed off.
"She was with me. Any problem with that?" Cameron appeared out of nowhere. Oh boy! Here we go again.
"If her being with pr*cks like you, then yes, we have a problem." Arden clenched his jaw.
"Don't you dare call me a f*cking pr*ck!" Cameron yelled. Arden stood up and prepared to lunge at him.
"Guys, out of my house." I shouted, standing up as well. They stopped dead in their tracks. I sighed in relief. "If you wanna fight, out! If you wanna stay here, act like civilized people." I said firmly.
"Only if he shuts the f*ck up." Cameron pointed at Arden. I facepalmed.
"Cameron!" I warned.
"Fine." he huffed and sat on the couch, next to Addison. A pang of jealousy hit me.
"Arden!" I turned to him.
"Fine." he sat next to me. I chuckled at how childish he acted. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Cameron chatting with Addison. They seemed a perfect couple. She was the one for Cameron, not me.

"I'm not doing that." I said, crossing my arms. There was no way Jennifer was convincing me to do that.
I was at the school at the moment, in the lunch room. Jennifer had a brilliant idea. The queen bee of our school was Alexis, the girl that came with Arden in the mall. Well, Arden dumped her yesterday, but it seemed like she didn't get the concept of being 'dumped'. Jennifer though, had this brilliant idea that I should pretend to be Arden's next girl and I didn't want to do that.
"Come on McKanzie." she pleaded and I shook my head. No way! "It'll be fun messing with her." she added. Well, making fun of her did seem tempting. From what I've heard, she was kinda... you know the word.
"Ugh. Fine." I said as Jennifer squealed. "What should I do?" I asked. I wasn't good with relationships since I'd never been in one.
"Let me make you a pro honey," Jennifer smirked and we started our 'lesson'.
"You're crazy." I stated after we finished. She winked and started giggling. Our plan would start the next class, which was biology and it was a class I share with Arden, Alexis and Cameron. Well, that was going to be fun.
"Tell me something I don't know darling." she chuckled. The bell rang, announcing the end of the lunch break. Well, here we go.
I stood up from my chair and headed to my locker, to get my books. After getting my books peacefully for the first time since I started high school in this neighbourhood, not bothered by Cameron, I made it to the biology class. I sat next to Arden since he surprisingly was sitting alone today. "Hey ex-nerd!" I teased, rubbing his arm and making sure that Alexis was seeing. She was sitting right beside us, with one of her minions, Stella I think was her name.
"Hey!" Arden gave me a confused look. I leaned on his ear and whispered.
"Do you want the queen beach away from you or not?" I asked, making sure to exaggerate. He chuckled.
In that moment Cameron entered in the class. When he saw me with Arden, he glared at me for a flash second but returned normal and went to take a seat. The teacher came five minutes later and so the class began. I wasn't listening to what the teacher was saying at all because someone, or should I say, some people were sending daggers through my head, Alexis from behind and Cameron from the other side of me. Oh boy!
When the biology class ended, let's say that Alexis exploded. "Get your dirty hands off of my boyfriend." she grabbed my arm. Like seriously!
"Excuse me?" I tried to get off her hand from my arm and succeed. "I'm his girfriend now sweetheart!" I mimicked her high-pitched voice. She really had an annoying voice.
"No, I'm his girlfriend." she insisted.
"You mean ex. Let me tell you, he's so good." I said, shuddering inside. Why did I say that? Ew! I saw Arden smirking at the corner of my eye. He was listening everything. Holy sweet cherries! "Arden!" I called. He came towards me and grabbed me by my waist. Alexis' face turned red from anger and you could see steam coming out of her ears.
"Yes babe!" he said, smirking of course.
"Tell her that you are my boyfriend because she doesn't seem to understand that." I fake-whined. Inside I was holding my laughter. That was really funny.
"Who is she?" Arden asked, putting his index finger on his temple, pretending to be thinking. "Hmmm..Alexandra? Stella? No, I was with her last month...." and he continued with all the girls names he knew until Alexis exploded.
"You f*cking assh*le! Jerk!" she screamed on the top of her lungs. Arden and I exploded too, but on laughter until principal Court appeared at the end of the hallway.
"What is happening here?" he asked in a stern and bossy tone, making me want to vommit.
Me and Arden composed ourselves and Arden was the one who decided to speak. "She is insulting me!" he whined. He was so well at acting. I swear if that boy would want to be an actor, he could win an Oscar.
The face, or should I say, the noise that Alexis made was inhuman. "I heard what she said. Mind telling me the reason, Ms. Williams?" he turned to Alexis.
"They...he...I..." she started but I cut her off.
"She was harrassing me and Arden came to save me and then she started yelling those things." I said. In my defence, it wasn't all a lie, because she really harrassed me. Arden snickered next to me and I stomped his foot.
"Is this true?" he asked Arden, who nodded. "Then, Ms. Williams you're in detention for the whole week for harrassing other students and yelling profanities in school." he said firmly and walked away.
One.
Two.
Three.
"You're going to pay for this." she threatened and in all her mighty sluttery self, ladies and gentleman, she stormed away.

Hiya!
It's Sunday again.
In the previous chapter I asked you a question about who was the mysterious person that appeared in the end. And the winner is mysteriousthoughtss She was the one who guessed it right.
Also, I asked about the title change. I send a big thanks to all who suggested some titles. After thinking it, I decided to not change the title, for now. Who knows in the future?
I shut up now. Enjoy the chapter and don't forget to vote and comment.
Love y'all
Jenny
