I've had this song on repeat for days 😊

Chapter 18: I guess you know I have or do you want me to show it to you?
I hated impromptu plans.
"You brought me all the way here for this?" I asked annoyed. We had been stuck in traffic for more than thirty minutes. I guess I couldn't be exaggerating if I'd say u was at my breaking point since a) I was starving and b) this car was colder than a fridge.
"How could I know that it was going to be traffic?" Cameron shot back, annoyed as well. He hit the horn for the millionth time.
"I'm going to go crazy." I yelled. "Why did I agree to this?" I muttered under my breath. Fortunately, Cameron didn't hear it or even if he heard it, he didn't make it obvious. Like getting stuck in the traffic wasn't enough, my phone was dead. That's what I got for not charging it last night. Stupid McKanzie! The radio didn't have good music and Cameron wouldn't give me his phone. "Let's play a game." I suggested out of the blue. He looked at me like I had grown a second head. Was it weird to suggest that? I asked myself.
"Game?" he asked, his face turning amused. "And what game would that be?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Twenty questions or Never have I ever?" I suggested.
"Never Have I Ever." Cameron smirked.
"Never have I ever cursed." I stated lamely. Cameron burst into laughter.
"I would have never imagined that." he laughed. "I guess you know that I have or do you want me to show you?"
"No thanks." I cringed. "Your turn."
"Never have I ever banged a virgin." he said, making me smack his arm. "Ow! What was that for?" he half-whined and half-laughed.
"Butthole!" I shouted. He laughed and winked at me. I rolled my eyes. Idiot. "It's my turn now. Never have I ever been in jail." I said proudly.
"I have, last year." Cameron admitted, more proudly than me. Where was the proud in going to jail?
"Why?" I asked curious.
"Because I beat the sh*t out of your boyfriend." he growled and hit the horn. My boyfriend? What is he talking about? "Arden." Cameron added.
"Wait a minute. Arden is not my boyfriend." I said angirly. Why would he think that Arden was my boyfriend. "And who told you that?"
"No one. Whatever. My turn now. Never have I ever kissed a boy." he said but I didn't respond. "Cinderella, come on. Don't tell me you have never kissed a boy?" he said amused. Yeah, like he didn't know it. He has been playing with me since he found out.
I stuck my tongue at him. "Shut up." I muttered. "This game is boring. Twenty questions?"
"Fine. Why do you hate your first name?" he asked.
"Because it's too girly." I replied. I hate that name. my parents should have been drunk when they put me that name. "What's your favourite colour?"
"Blue." he said in a 'duh' tone. "Yours?"
"Green." I answered without thinking it much. "I like the green of the grass, of the forest, everything that's green." I added, including your eyes. I wanted to say, but I kept it to myself. His ego was big enough. "What's you favourite movie?"
"Tom and Jerry." he grinned. I gave him a look. "Fine, I like Titanic." he looked away in shame.
"Awww, Cameron has feelings. Who would've imagined?" I teased. "What's you-"
"No-no. my turn." he cut me off. "Do you like Arden?" Cameron asked and I stared at him. What the freaking Clark Kent? I can't believe I just thought that. My mind comes up with the weirdest things, I swesr. But seriously, why would he ask me that? It's not that he-
No, right. He doesn't like me. Psht, pft! We were talking about Cameron here. CAMERON! He couldn't like me. I don't think so, do I? Stop it McKanzie! Cameron. Doesn't. Like. You. But what if he does? Ughhh.
Shut up brain!
"I don't know." I decided to say. I was not giving him an answer. And to be honest, it was the truth. I didn't know if I liked Arden. I mean, he is my best friend and I love him, but in a platonic way. If you would've asked me this questios three days ago, I would have said no, but now, I don't really know. I'm still deciding between him and Cameron.
"Oh, okay." Cameron said. "The traffic is free. We can move now." he announced and started the car. The awkward silence started. Cameron's eyes were glued to the road while I was staring at him. Did he like me? Did I want him to like me?
Cameron was my boyfriend for four months and he cheated on me. Jennifer's words crossed my mind. What if he would cheat on me too? Would it be worth trying?
"We're here." Cameron said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked out of the window of my car and saw that we were in front of "Autumn Flowers Asylum". What were we doing in an asylum?
Cameron climbed out of the car and slammed the door shut behind him. I rolled my eyes and got out of the car as well, following Cameron inside the asylum. The building had a brownish colour. We arrived at the reception where was a mid-aged woman, with a messy bun, a bored look on her face and a fake smile. "Good afternoon." she greeted.
"Good afternoon." Cameron greeted back as poilitely as he could be. "I'm Cameron Court and I'm here to see my grandma." he said. So, that's why we are here. To see his grandma. Why would he want me to come with him though?
The woman, whose name was Mary, looked something on her computer. "Follow me." she said as we followed her silently. She walked through some old people on a room. Then she opened another door, which led you to another room of old people. They were sitting on chairs or sofas and conversing with each other. "Mrs. Court?" Mary called. An old woman, at her seventies I guess, looked at us and when she spotted Cameron, her face lit up. I noticed Cameron smile at her and walk towards her, hugging her petite form. It make me smile as well. "He really loves her." Mary said to me before getting out of the room.
I walked towards them and looked carefully at the old woman. She remineded of someone but I couldn't put a name on it. Besides that, she was short and full of wrinkles. Her hair were gray, turning to white, if that is even possible. When I arrived there, I noticed Cameron blush at something that his grandmother said. And his cheeks were still pink. Man, I bet that she is the only one who can make Cameron blush, because since the first day I have met Cameron Court and until now, I have never seen him blush. "Cinderella, this is my grandma." Cameron said as he looked at me.
"Hi... Cameron's grandma. I'm McKanzie." I introduced myself, extending my hand to her. She gave me a warm smile and pulled me in a hug.
"Oliver was right." she said as I looked at her confused. What is she talking about?
"Gam, shut up!" Cameron hissed playfully, but with a tone of seriousness on his voice. Now I got it. Whatever Oliver was right about, embarrassed Cameron.
"No, I want to know what Oliver was right about." I pouted. Cameron's grandma laughed and motioned us to sit. We sat at the two sides of her, leaving her on the middle.
"Well, Oliver said that-" Gam started but Cameron cut her off.
"Oliver said nothing." said Cameron as I glared at him. Butthole! I mouthed to him.
"Mrs. Court..." I started.
"Call me Gam." she smiled.
"Mrs. C-Gam," I corrected myself. "Show me how to get him to shut up." I laughed as Cameron gave me a look.
In your face!
"Ooooh, I have plenty of stories about Cammy here." Gam said childishly as Cameron groaned. Cammy? Good nickname.
"Gam, please." Cameron pleaded.
"Hush." the old woman hushed him. "You know that Cameron used to have long hair?" Gam said and then leaned to my ear. "He wanted to be like Harry Styles." she whispered and I burst into laughter. Harry Styles? Really? I glanced at Cameron, who rolled his eyes.
"I'd love to see a picture of Harry." I laughed.
"Christina must have photos of him." Gam said and I noticed Cameron stiffen. It loked like Gam noticed it too, because she turned to Cameron with a questioning look. I guess Christina was his mother. That's why Gam reminded me of someone.
"I don't live there anymore. I live with Oliver." Cameron explained calmly.
"Oh, well, I have plenty of other stories of him." Gam returned to her cheering mode. "One time..." and so she continued embarrassing 'Cammy' more and more. It was fun hearing her stories about Cameron, mostly because I liked when Cameron's cheeks turned pink. He looked so adorable.
What are you saying McKanzie? You are trying to get over him, my subconciounus reminded me.
No, I'm deciding between him and Arden. I shot back.
It looks like you have made your choice. She said with venom. Did I mention that my brain was team Arden and my heart was team Cameron? I guess not.
Ughhh. I groaned mentally or so I thought.
"Cinderella, are you alright?" Cameron asked amused.
"Yes, I'm fine." I snapped.
"You know, Gam. I have a cute story about Cinderella here." Cameron smirked. Was he thinking what I was thinking he was thinking because if he was, I was going to kill him.
Crap, there were too many 'was'-es in one single sentence.
"Well, our princess was so starstruck about me when she first saw me and you know what she called me?"
"Cameron!" I warned.
"A hot piece of meat." he said loud and clear.
And I thought he was the only one who was going to be embarrassed.
