Chapter 1

A/N
This will be my first Gale/Gajevy fanfiction! Hope you guys like it! <3

Levy's POV:

"Get out of the way, nerd!" Laxus, a tall senior boy shoves me to the ground, making me drop my books I was holding as they scatter everywhere in the hallway. I sigh wiping my little orange dress in which a small bow is sewn on the front, kneeling on the floor, I start picking up my textbooks, binders and novels.

"Levy!" A blonde girl runs towards me and helps me up a bit worried. "Did they hurt you again?"

Lucy Heartfilia. My bestest friend in this world, she has beautiful golden hair shoulder blade length which falls down her back with a small portion tied up on the side with a ribbon and deep brown eyes. I met her a few years ago when she moved here the first week in our freshman year...

-Flashback-

"Levy, could you please show our new student here, Lucy Heartfilia, to her next class and give her a tour of the school?" Our math teacher, Capricorn asks me after the bell went off. "Of course, Capricorn-sensei." I nod smiling a bit awkwardly as she follows me out the class to our lockers. I started explaining to her our schedule and showing her around when a tall, muscular blond about a couple years older with a scar across his eye resembling a lightning bolt, comes behind me and pushes me against the brick wall.

"Always in the way these pesky freshmen!" He laughs along with his three other teammates. Bickslow, the boy with spiky purple hair and a tattoo of what seems to be a stickman between his eyes. Evergreen, the only girl in the group with long, dirty brown hair and glasses whom usually wears a green dress about knee lenght. Last but not least, Freed the admirer as I like to call him, always looking up to Laxus. He has a smaller figure, less muscular than the leader, with green hair longer than Evergreen tied up a couple inches from the end.

I wince at the pain as the new girl, Lucy places both hands on her hips, walks in front of me defensively and stares right in his cold, beady eyes.

"Don't touch her." Laxus snorts in disbelief and leans towards the girl "I'll do what I want, new girl" After that he leaves with his gang and continue chuckling to each other. Lucy turns back her attention to me and places her hands on my shoulders and smiles, she could practically light a room up with that smile "Are you okay, Levy?" I dust myself off and bow slightly, showing gratitude.

"Arigato, Lucy" The blond giggles and looks into my hazel eyes "No need to be so formal! Let's get going, we wouldn't want to miss our next class!"

-End of flashback-

"I'm fine Lu-chan, thanks again" I sigh annoyed at the seniors as I re-arrange my yellow headband back on my spiky, light blue hair. 'I wish they would stop...' I think to myself as I walk towards the school exit with my best friend after hearing the last bell ring.

"I'll see you tomorrow Levy-chan!" The blond hugs me tightly lifting my small figure off the ground. I laugh as she slowly begins to suffocate me "Lu-chan! I... c-can't... breathe!" I manage to choke out before she releases me and walks towards her bus waving goodbye one last time as she disappears out of my sight. Since my house isn't far from school I usually walk back by myself while reading a book, this time I was planning on going to the bookstore before heading home, since I was always early anyways.

'I can't wait to see if they have the Inkheart trilogy out yet!' I sling my bag securely around my shoulder and pick up my walking paste now to a sprint. Inkheart is a fantasy novel in which there's now three books in total, Lucy once recommended it to me when we were in the library together a couple weeks ago, I got hooked. I own the two first of the trilogy, Inkheart and Inkspell, I finished reading them the first week that I bought them. Today was the arrival date for the new one, Inkdeath to come out, that's why I want to be one of the first ones to be there so I can guaranty my chance of buying it.

Because of my lack of focus on where I was running, a tall boy with long black hair and a whole lot of piercing bumped right into me, bringing me to the ground "Oi! Didn't see ya there Shrimp." He grunts helping me with a few of my books "Quite a punch you gave me there for such a little package" I recognize him... I think his name was Gary? No wait... Gajeel Redfox! Right! I remember seeing him in my yearbook last year, his features really caught my attention especially his piercing red eyes. He did really have that bad boy look. I let his name bounce off my tongue, I like the feeling...

"Gomen...!" I squeak nervously while taking back my books from his strong, tanned arms, quickly picking myself up and continue walking slightly slower towards my destination. 'You're so clumsy Levy...' I sigh finally arriving the door of the bookstore. Pushing the door I smirk seeing I was still the first to arrive. My feet find their way towards the 'New Arrival' section, my hand searches through my bag and pulls out my red-framed reading glasses which I place on my nose. I start examining the shelf, one book at a time certain to find Inkdeath eventually. "Hm..." I bend over, my index finger passing over every book making sure I don't miss it 'Ha! There it is...!' Squealing, I wrap my arms around the hard cover book and quickly bring it to the woman at the counter.

"Hi Miss Aries! I would like to purchase this book today, please!"

She smiles shyly and carefully scans the book and places it in a bag for me. "Of c-course, Levy..." I always liked Aries, even though she's shy the curly, pink-haired woman is an extremely kind person and helpful. Lucy made an especially good connection with her when I introduced her to the blonde about a year ago when we decided to go buy books together.

"Thank you! See you next week!" I smile warmly and wave her goodbye and walk out the store.

Yep. I buy books from her every single week! Sometimes I invite Lucy to come along with me since she's also into reading... Mostly writing novels though, that's why she comes here, for inspiration. I already begged the blonde to let me read her novel so far but she wouldn't budge. "I'll let you read it when I'm done!" She giggled

Walking out of store, a happy smile play on my lips while I hug the book tightly in my arms. I've been walking for about ten minutes when I hear a deep voice calling me from behind "Hey shorty! Wait up!" I turn around and see him, the bad boy.
