"After years of living in fear, waiting for a miracle. I realized it wasn't going to come for me, I had to chase after it."

Jumping into the car bouncing off the walls, the best thing just happened.

"GUESS WHAT!" I practically scream into his ear as he shoves my face away from him.

"I don't want to be deaf because of your screaming. Unless it's the other screaming." He winked at me as he licked his lips seductively. I rolled my eyes, this was NO TIME to be sexy right now.

"I got the job babe!" My smile is beaming off of my face like I'm the sun itself.

He tries to cover up his smile as his lips keep twitching as he finally engulfed me into a tight embrace. He kisses my cheek when he pulls away, still holding my hands.

"I'm proud of you, even if I don't want you working there." He laughs lightly as he puts his hands on the steering wheel and steps on the gas.

Taking a long needed sip of my ice cold Raspberry Lemonade, Jane cautiously rubs my stomach in circles as I eye her and raise my eyebrow.

She nods and hums a 'okay', I continue to see what the heck she thinks she's doing. I set my drink down as I swatted her hands away only for her to come back.

"What the heck are you doing?" I squint my eyes at her curiously.

She grins like a madwoman, which made me gulp.
"How many months are you?" I nearly choked on my spit and died right then and there.

"W-what? Are you crazy and stop molesting my stomach!" I smacked her on her arm as she laughs crazily.

"I mean, you're gaining a lot of since you started being with Lance." I rolled my eyes, ever since Jane heard from me that we're official now. She gave me a big 'I told you so'.

"I've just been eating more! He's always feeding me! Hate that."

I quickly added, "I'm NOT pregnant! In case you're still wondering!"

Jane lets out a big laugh as she gives me a half hug, "I'm happy for you.. so tell me how many times have you guys done it?"

My cheeks flush in embarrassment as I muttered a, "Are you talking daily?"

She smacked my arm lightly as she gasped, "You're nasty!" Her eyes twinkled in curiosity, wanting to know more.

"Since he sleeps over a lot, a good 4 times daily." My cheeks are flaming hot Cheetos right now, we couldn't stop at all. It wouldn't be all at once of course, that's completely different.

"Who would've ever thought! You guys are such newlyweds." She dismisses whatever I was about to say with a wave of a hand. She takes a sip of her iced coffee, dark.

"Shut up, when are you going to get eloped with someone?" Jane has been single for almost 2 years and it looks like she doesn't care. Which is fine, but she sees guys on and off and I want her to find ultimate happiness, like I did.

"I don't need anyone! Until then, I'll make myself happy with whatever comes my way!" She smiles as I nod, I believe her. She has everything she needs to basically survive, love wasn't a need for her.

She clears her throat as she clasps her hands together, "Congrats on the new job by the way. Definitely coming to visit!"

She grinned widely as I shook my head, "No way, you're going to get too drunk and I'm going to have to carry you home!"

This has happened way too many times, cough cough high school and even college.

She rolled her eyes, "You love me!"

I nodded as I giggled, Jane has been accepting of anything I've ever wanted to do. Simply because of the fact she knows I won't choose to do anything stupid, I calculate and over think everything 20 times and then 30 times backwards.

I see Jane's eyes flash in amusement as she clears her throat when the door opens.

"I can't believe it Makayla!! Lance is going to be so happy to hear this!" She shrieks in a fake voice as I looked at her like she was crazy.

"What are y-." She covers my mouth and rubs my stomach again as I swat away her hands.
I heard footsteps stop behind me as I heard a deep breath.

Turning my head quickly, causing my hair to twirl in the air and fall back down on my shoulders. I see Lance's eyes widen with anxiety, happiness, and confusion all in one. I see him breathing in and out deeply as I dropped my mouth.

NO JANE DID NOT! She's evil! How am I her best friend? How did she not even kill me yet?

Lance sits next to me with a hand on my knee, he looks at Jane and asks with a shaky voice, "W-what are you talking about?"

Jane gave a devilish grin before hiding it and says, "Lance! I don't know if Maika wants me to tell you yet but...." She trails off on purpose leaving him tense next to me.

He gulps loudly as he shifts eyes to me and back  nodding at Jane when she continues, "You're going to be a dad!!"

My jaw drops to hell as I stare at Jane in disbelief. I know losing my baby boy Evan was 2 years ago, but losing your child isn't something you can ever forget.

Lance stutters as he grips my wrist and stares at me. His lips twitch into a smile as my heart breaks.

"Jane get out now." I stare at her coldly as she understands. I need to find her a man, so she can play pranks on him and not me!

She shuts the door behind her as I wait to hear her footsteps going downstairs.

Lance stares at me with widened eyes that were filled with happiness now, I feel my heart break off piece by piece. He's grinning like I never seen before, does he want a kid that bad? That would actually be a cute sight to see.

"Why didn't you tell me babe! Oh my god we're going to be parents! How do you even parent? Should we-." I clamp his lips shut with my hands as I pull away.

I looked at him in the eyes and shot him a sympathetic look.

His face drops like a ton of bricks, he tenses up and let's go of me.

No.

I grab him back into a tight embrace as I laid my head on his chest. He always smells so good. His arms slowly wrapped my body as he sighs deeply.

"I'm sorry.. Jane did this I wasn't apart of it at all! I was just as shocked as you were.. I'm sorry." I lean up to give him a longing, passionate kiss.

"It's fine baby girl." He kissed my forehead as I felt his emotions oozing off of him.

But it wasn't fine.

He was upset, I would've never guessed he would be so happy about having a kid.

Or is it because he wants our child?

I pressed my lips against his lips once again before saying softly, "Do you really want to have kids with me?"

His eyes widened once again as he nods, "Whenever we're ready, I wouldn't want to start a family with anyone else." He shoots me a goofy bit sweet grin as my cheeks reddened.

I nod as I mutter, "I wouldn't mind having a little Lance and Maika."

His smooth velvet laugh fills my ears as I could tell his mood is better now, my heart was glittering with joy.

How is it possible to be this happy?
