Good morning everyone~

Today I wanted to share my goal for this month --or months, it depends xD -- which is to accomplish a hundred drawings only using references :D

The reason why I decided to do this is because I noticed how small the amount of drawings are that I draw using references.

Drawing from your own mind is a really good thing for becoming more creative and maintaining those skills you learned from all those things you've already drawn, but still... drawing from your own mind --without using references, looking anywhere-- will not develop your drawing skills.

My previous book which I started in the year 2016 "Sena's Kritzeleien" has only 53 chapters.

The posts I made on there were mostly drawings I did by looking at the original one. Even though I also uploaded original drawings there, without using any references, there are hardly 50 drawings I did by looking at the original.
Of course there were drawings I did by looking at the original which I didnt upload, but still...

Can you imagine that? We're in 2020 and in these 4 years I didnt even accomplished a hundred drawings using references to improve my skills. This is sad, really.

I have no school for 2 weeks, which means I'll have more free time than ever. My goal is to make #100 drawings before March comes by --or April 😅--. I call this the #a100drawingschallange :D

My rules are:

1-) Drawings you draw from your own mind dont count.

2-) Only drawings using references count.

3-) Dont focus too much on the details.

4-) Dont spent too much time on a single drawing, cause your goal is to learn and not to aim perfection.

5-) Try to choose as many different kinds of drawings as possible. Try to draw things from different perspectives and DONT DRAW ONLY GIRLS -.-

6-) Chill. This shit's ain't serious xD

You can make your own rules and do this little challenge if you want to :D
If you consider doing this let me know. I'd love to see your drawings and development as well 😁 you can use the references I chose too or choose your own ones. It's up to you :D

I started doing this yesterday. These are the references I chose:

As you can see I didn't focus on the detailes and tried to accomplish the overall look. My lines are messy and I drew them fast with the smallest amount of erasing, cuz my goal is to gain more experience and not to make it look exactly the same as the original, expect from how I'd usually do it.

I'm planning on posting the drawings I make for this #a100drawingschallange after I finish 20 and in 5 chapters I'll hopefully be done with this xD

Let's keep this in mind: "We can only get better and we have nothing to lose."
