Anyways, we were scrolling through some of my dad's recorded songs on his radio in the car and we stumbled across this one. I hadn't had heard it in FOREVER.

I was listening to it and found it rather ironic that it had Mexico mentioned it in because I'm obsessed with Coco.

I just listened to the song with the lyrics.. Couldn't this completely be from Imelda's point of view?! Lines such as...

Now I, now I wanna know
What it took to leave me

Héctor had left Imelda and Coco to pursue music with Ernesto... Yes, he was trying to go back before he got poisoned, but this could be Imelda thinking what it took to leave her and Coco.

(I'm connecting lines from the song to the movie. It'll all add up.)

Héctor and Imelda loved each other very much. But after Héctor left, Imelda wasn't hung up on it all this time. She fought the darkness away.

Technically speaking, she wasn't alone she had Coco. But she was alone without Héctor, her husband.

Someone NEEDS to make this an animation video and/or cover it. Ok! Got that off my mind, but still. Isn't that sort of a weird coincidence? I THINK NOT!!

Yeah, the song was made in 2013, Coco came out in 2017... But it's still crazy and awesome to dream how the two play into each other.
