Why a scythe though?
Well, when I originally drew Xiliax, I showed it to a camp friend. She liked the design so much she drew a picture on her white board, along with a scythe.

I think the scythe fits too, haha. It fits her backstory (a witch tying six souls to a necklace. The spell requires reaping these souls from living people), her profession (she's an assassin, after all), and one of her abilities (she can splice a piece of her own soul to make not-animals. See: the fire cat at Xiliax's side).
