A commission I did back in 2019 March for some friends I had. The girl asked me for this because it was about to be their anniversary. It's quite a simple portrait, with not much detail, because well, materials and two, price would have gone up. I'm not sure I like this one; it's not bad definitely but I feel like something's missing.

Oh loooook lookie. I was experimenting with the human body wood reference thing I have (I alwas forget what they're called!), as I got more confident with my anatomy and attempted to start breaking it down.
(Nov, 2019). Drawing creepy/scary stuff is definitely not a forte of mine, I go more for character drawing and magical/mysterious stuff, but it is not so bad.

('°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀) I did this Given fanart back in November 2019 and I am still in love with it. I really like the greys and the way the orange works as an accent. I love Given even though it always makes me cry ('°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥｀).

This was the first time I did anything with oil painting. I had no freaking idea what I was doing and the painting itself kinda makes no sense but it kind of does??? I dunno, I was feeling a bit sad back then I think. I was going to draw myself (I used myself as reference for the pose), but I ended up thinking it'd be lame and too obvious and ended up just making up a person with my mind. I still think that for a first time using oil painting I didn't do bad. I honestly can't remember clearly when I did this one. I'm not sure whether it was October 2019 or 2018, but it was around that time.

Even though I didn't put any thought into it and was just randomly slapping colors on the canvas, it ended up kinda being symbolic anyways and open to interpretation. Kinda crazy how that works.

Unexpectedly this one is from 2020, and although the anatomy is not that good I really really like it. It was my first time drawing a background and I am kind of attached to this drawing; it was done during a time I was trapped somewhere I didn't want to be and feeling like a prisoner in my life. I hadn't drawn anything in months at that time. This drawing kind of gave me hope. A girl chasing after magical lights/ fire fae. I want to redo it digitally and make it super nice at some point.

Another one done during hard times in 2020. I was learning how to use watercolor: this was my second time using it. Since then, it has become my favorite medium to work with and I have done several paintings with it.

This was my 1st time using watercolor. I had just been given some watercolor paper and watercolor paintings for Christmas and wanted to use them right away. Done in 2019, after Christmas I think.

I dunno why, but I don't have a photo of the finished piece 😂. This was done back during hard times in the first half of 2020 too. Still in my experimentation with watercolor phase. I promise the end result looks nicer.

This is a sketch study that I did back in August 2020. I was going to color it digitally but I never quite got around to it... he.

I was given a new sketchbook after my birthday in 2020. I had never drawn in paper that wasn't white, and I found out I really really really freaking liked drawing on brown paper. I was just getting back to drawing after some hard times, this one was done with no reference.

Wuuu more fun I was having with that new sketchbook. This one was a practice study (during 2019 I drew consistently around 5 people in all kinds of poses everyday during school, because I always had time. It made me faster and helped me learn anatomy. Really recommend doing that). 

More fun with that sketchbook and trying to make the pages look nice with some color accents.

This one I freaking fell in love with while doing it. It was an assignment for art college last year (2020); the assignment was (I think) to draw some kind of humanoid figure and use watercolor. By this point I was pretty familiar with watercolor and felt confident with it, and really enjoyed it. I kind of accidentally ended up making this OC tho 😂 . His name is Azmodeus and he is a king of hell, who also runs a bookshop and coffee shop down the street. He is not part of any of my stories currently, but I'm sure he'll end uo being part of one.

Another anatomy practice study I did last year. If you haven't noticed by this point, my favorite thing to draw and the thing I'm most comfortable and knowledgeable with is drawing people 😊. I think there's something special in drawing and painting living things, something lovely about the life in them. We are capable of so many emotions, expressions and poses and mannerisms and have different personalities and appearances. It is that capacity to be different and varied and the immense potential behind those things that I love.

Homework I did for art college back in 2020. I don't think this is the finished result photo, but this is what I got. I had a lot of fun with it, as I experimented with the water and trying to make the water reflect on her skin. I don't remember if I used a reference, or mentally combined references to make up the pose 🤔.
I used watercolor (cuz yes) and what I call tempera for the water background (I think people usually call it gouache though.)

Random drawing I did, studying a ref and changing stuff. I even gave him a name which I thought fit him 'Milo Hughes'. This one is from January this year (2021). Still not sure I like this one.
