I feel like it's been a while since I last updated anything. Sorry about that. I keep falling into and out of so many different fandoms and I hyperfixate a lot, so I basically can't write anything unless it's from that specific fandom. I think I need to get checked out to see if I have ADHD. Anyways, I have been working on some art in the meantime, and wanted to put some of it here!

This is my 2020 redraw of Eliyra using Flaming Hands! I'm working on the 2021/2022 (whoops, little late) one right now and have the first pass of linework almost done! My first pass is just to get a general, messy idea of an updated version of the linework before I clean it up on the second pass. So that's taking some time, plus I want to get more practise with more tools and layer types so I can really make this next one pop.

Not too much changed from the original, apart from some of the shapes (her ears, most noticeably), but also the glowing cracks in her skin are more fluid compared to the sharp edges from the original. I felt like the sharp edges didn't work so I updated them, and they look good! Kinda like glowing veins/arteries. I also gave her white eyelashes. I've been testing using different colours for linework, and I tried darker colours of what the underlying colour is for this one, which makes it look better to me.

Time for a new face!

This one I just drew! It was an older drawing that I never finished and used a reference for, and I decided to try again and came up with this! Her name is Annika, and she's a thief that comes from poor circumstances. I'm currently planning on writing a story about her (kill me). But everything is still in the works!

My original plan was to have her wearing greys/blacks/purples, but a friend of mine insisted I try something different (I use purple/blue a lot, especially recently, which you will see next), so I decided to go with green! Jokes on him though, I used purple for the linework and her eyes. Anyways, that's enough about Annika, onto one of my oldest (and honestly favourite) fandoms!

These next ones are all of an oc of mine from Winx Club. She's gone through a lot of changes since I first came up with her, and I decided to come up with an updated and more cohesive design in the last month or so, and have up to her Believix finished (not including the sub-transformations and special wings of Believix). I did use references from Winx Club for these, mainly to help me with the style.

This was the first pass of her updated look. I quite like it, but when I was working on her Enchantix, decided to go back and update the colours of this one slightly because the current ones are all very bright/bold, and I wanted to get away from the teal, as that is technically Bloom's colour. This led to her current design.

Design is mostly the same, but I changed the teal to a light blue and her hair to brown. Her wings are also updated, since looking back, they looked a little too much like Bloom's. Yes, I did take some inspiration from Bloom originally, but I'm trying to get away from that now. Her name is Ashlynn Jones, and she's the fairy of dreams. So she has a blue/purple palette and a moon motif.

This one is her Charmix form, which just adds a small bag and jewelled design onto the base fairy form. This is where her moon motif initially comes into play, and will remain for most/all of her subsequent transformations.

Her Enchantix went through the least change from the initial design to the current one. The design is basically the same, apart from shortening the hair slightly and changing her wings. Her outfit has remained completely unchanged.

As I was drawing this, I was looking at the Winx girls' designs for their fairy forms and remembered how the girls all had charms on their wings. So I decided to give her different phases of the moon on the top part of her wings. She also has a moon as part of her fairy dust bottle (I have to update that design yet, but it's basically a closed crescent moon with a bottle hanging from the top end, and small tassels hanging from the bottom) and on her 'shoes'.

My original plan was to give her a star motif until I remembered that was Stella's thing. I think the moon works great though.

And last, but not least, her Believix form. I wanted to give her crescent-shaped wings, but Aisha already has that for Believix, and I eventually settled on this design, which works beautifully for her, in my opinion. She gives me such a rockstar vibe and I honestly love it. This one probably has/will go through the most change, since I completely scrapped the old idea and didn't even try and salvage any of it. Different pose, different everything.

It was a lot more work, but definitely worth it in my opinion.
