How would you react if you were in the same situation?

The pursuer is at the stairs, slowly approaching his victim. (A/n The killer is a man (⊙_⊙) )
I know his hands are a bit awkward... that's because he's not in level as the boy.... He's still on the stairs while the lad is 4-5 steps above him...
