Baekhyun p.o.v

Next morning has arrived and I am so tired I even have a sore throat. Reaching for a bottle of water from my bedside table I notice it's not enough. Sitting up in bed I drag myself from it and head towards my bedroom door hearing so many voices. Opening the door I head down the hallway hearing the commotion in the sitting room.

"What's going on?" I see Chen smiling from ear to ear as the others seem happy.

"Turns out auditions are cancelled" Kai says all happily while falling onto the sofa.

"Are you serious this isn't some joke, is it?" I rub my sleepy eyes as Jeno signals me to sit beside him.

"It's true, Chen got the call to tell us all that today is just a normal day in the studio and to just look forward to the masquerade ball" Jeno smiles as I can't believe it . There I was stressing over it all and worrying and now it's all over.

Buzz buzz

Jeno reaches into his pocket taking out his phone as he heads off to answer a call.

"Guess I have time to shop for a suit " Chen walks off into his room leaving us .

"Right I'm going to head off to the studio I need to dance" Kai leaves just Luhan and I in the sitting room alone.

"Are you ok Baekhyun?" Luhan asks me as I still think I am dreaming all this.

"Yeah, I guess so I was so worried with me only joining and then having to do those auditions. Now all I have to do it get a suit, but Jeno knows of more places I can look"

"You will get sorted don't worry, right I am going to head to the studio will I see you there later?" he asks me as I just nod my head yes and head off back to my room.

As I close my bedroom door, I head into my ensuite bathroom and have a nice hot shower. As I  wash my face, I remember I kissed Chanyeol on the cheek. What will he think of me now oh god? I put my head under the water and try to get my mind away from thinking of it .

At the studio

"Hey baby" Kai creeps up behind me in the dance studio while we wait for a dance teacher to arrive.

"Hi Kai, please don't call me that it makes me uncomfortable " I look at him with puppy dog eyes and he just hugs me " sorry Baek I wont again" he kisses the top of my head just as the teacher enters the room .

"Ok let's get this sorted" he says while turning on the music as we get into position. Little do they know Chanyeol, and CeCe have produced a plan and are watching from the other side of the mirrors

No p.o.v

"Chanyeol this is crazy. I didn't think it was like this behind here. I knew there was a walkway but it's everywhere" CeCe whispers as they stop behind the mirror of the dance studio Kai and Baekhyun are in .

"Kai can really dance CeCe" Chanyeol says smiling as he watches them dance

" He reminds me of you so enthusiastic" CeCe writes in her notepad before looking back up at the mirror.

"I think Kai has it, we just need to hear him sing "Chanyeol says looking towards CeCe who is writing everything down.

"What about Baekhyun he is new, so we haven't really seen much of him" CeCe turns to a new page writing Baekhyun's name on the top of it.

"Oh he can sing ; he needs help with another range but other then that he can get the emotion of a song across to the audience" Chanyeol smiles from ear-to-ear remembering hearing Baekhyun sing but also the kiss he received last night from the smaller.

"I want to see him in his vocal class "CeCe checks the schedule and can see Baekhyun will have singing next class.

"Ok I think I have a group you can promote right now" Chanyeol smiles as he walks along the walkway behind the mirror with CeCe following him trying not to make a sound.

"Here look" they finally arrive at another dance studio as Chanyeol smiles looking through the mirror.

"These are the Dreamies " CeCe changes the page again and writes down all the names .

"They have what it takes to be promoted now. I think you can keep the top bosses happy CeCe they have everything young people want to hear right now. If you leave them any longer they will get lazy and lose interest "

"I think you are right Chanyeol I will go into them now and tell them to show me something" CeCe looks left to right wondering how she can get out from behind the mirror without them knowing.

"I can show you the way out follow me" Chanyeol guides CeCe past another corner and pushes the mirror into an empty vocal room .

"Thanks Chanyeol can you head back to the mirror where the Dreamies are, and we can meet later and compare notes"

" Yeah, no problem" Chanyeol heads off as CeCe leaves the room and heads to the room the Dreamies are in.

"Hey everyone " CeCe smiles as she enters the room seeing them all look surprised at their boss being there.

"Hey, I'm just walking in on everyone seeing how you are all doing and if anything is needed to help with training ?" she looks around at them as they all look towards each other wondering what they could tell her.

"We have no problems" Mark one of the members says as CeCe takes a seat at the chair near the door.

"It's been a while since I saw a practice can you guys do a dance for me, please I'd love to see one"

They all nod and turn on some music and get into position. CeCe looks towards the mirror and hopes Chanyeol is watching so she can discuss it with him later. She finds it a little evil to be doing the auditions this way, but she finds it best to see them relaxed then on show.

"Oh wow you are great this was a nice group put together . Thank you for letting me watch I best go and see if I am needed anywhere else" she says her goodbyes and heads off to the next room being the vocal room that Baekhyun should be in .

"Hi Baekhyun, I hope you don't mind me showing up like this it's just I'm visiting everyone seeing if they need any advice or concerns" CeCe walks over to the piano where Baekhyun is standing waiting for his vocal coach.

"Oh I was a bit worried about the auditions as I am not here that long, but I am a bit more at ease now they are cancelled" Baekhyun smiles dropping his bag to the floor as the teacher enters the room.

"Do you mind if I hear a song from you. I haven't heard you since you got here" CeCe moves a chair and takes a seat next to the piano as Baekhyun warms up his vocal before he starts on his song.

CeCe watches in awe as Chanyeol was right Baekhyun can really get the emotion across. CeCe can feel her emotions get the better of her as a lump forms in her throat of the song she loves so much .

"Oh Baekhyun you nearly have me in tears I love that song. What made you do that one?" she swallows hard hoping the lump fades soon.

"Well I do like George Michael, and I just love that song" Baekhyun smiles from ear to ear happy that he was able to make his boss react.

"Well keep up the amazing work Baekhyun you will go far. I best go now see the others" she says her goodbyes and heads out the room and up the lift to see her husband Lay

"Baby why you are crying ?" Lay turns to see his wife wiping some tears.

"We need to get Baekhyun singing in here. I just heard him in person, and I want him in this room recording asap"

"Ok sweetheart we can arrange it . What has happened?"

"He sang the song I love so much and with such emotions  baby get him up here "

"Ok ok I will call for him to drop up in the morning sweetheart I have the place booked today" Lay kisses his wife's cheek before hugging her tight.

knock knock

"Come in" Lay says but nobody enters.

"I think I know who that is. I need to go up the office I'll see you for lunch" CeCe kisses her husband on the lips and leaves the room making her way to her office seeing Chanyeol sitting waiting for her.

"He is good I told you he was" Chanyeol says as CeCe pours herself a coffee.

"I want the Dreamies recording asap, and I need Baekhyun in the recording studio asap also. I am sure Lay has a song he can use for Kai" she takes a seat kicking off her shoes and sips her tea.

"I think this was a clever idea and now you know who we can promote finally" Chanyeol sits on the side of the chair pulling down his hood.

"I will message the Dreamies now actually and get them up here at 1 just before lunch. As for Baekhyun and Kai, I want them here also just after the Dreamies" she smiles and leans her head back in her chair delighted she has a great bunch of guys in her company.

"You never got to see Chen and the other new Guy Minseok, I told you about" Chanyeol writes their names down on CeCe note pad making her sit up and take notice.

"I can see them after. I need to take this all in first" CeCe smiles as Chanyeol moves towards the mirror to leave.

"I best go there is somewhere I need to be" and with that he leaves through the mirror closing it behind him leaving CeCe to messages the boy and get them for a meeting.

Back at the dorm

Baekhyun lays on his bed waking from a nap he had during his break.

"Hi " Chanyeol speaks making Baekhyun jump up from his bed and rush towards him

"I didn't think you would want to see me again" Baekhyun says while entering his ensuite to use the bathroom and wash up

"I just dropped by to give you this" Chanyeol places the velvet box onto the beds as Baekhyun enters back into the room

"What is this you have ben trying to give me ?"

"Open it and see"

Opening the box Baekhyun smiles "Oh wow this is beautiful "

"I thought you might like to wear it for the ball coming soon" Chanyeol moves closer making Baekhyun look up at him

"I kissed you and I am so sorry " Baekhyun needs to say it and will continue till he is forgiven

"It's ok don't worry about it I just dropped by to give you this I need to head off somewhere now" Chanyeol opens the door and heads towards the window just outside the room making Baekhyun sad

"Stop leaving can't you stay?" Baekhyun says with a croaked voice making Chanyeol turn to face him with worry

"You need honey on that throat of yours" he reaches out and touches Baekhyun's neck with his warm hands making Baekhyun close his eyes to the warm touch

"Please stay "

"I have to go I am sorry" Chanyeol climbs out the window and heads off leaving Baekhyun sad as he enters his room . Picking up the box again he looks inside seeing the silver mask Chanyeol has given him. Taking it out of the box he moves towards the mirror and places it on. Wow it looks great " he smiles checking it out and all of a sudden, he knows the suit he wants and will get it after the studio. Putting the mask away he heads back to the studio to finish off the day.

Later that evening

"Oh wow" Baekhyun falls back onto his bed still in shock at what his boss CeCe said to him and Kai about doing some solo songs starting tomorrow with Lay. Then getting the suit he wanted for the masquerade ball he feels on high.

Moving into the ensuite he turns on the shower and strips naked. Stepping under the hot water he lets out a sign of contentment . He can finally relax about the suit now and just concentrate on what CeCe wants of them.

Once finished in the shower he heads back into his room seeing Chanyeol standing by the doorway

"Oh no" he panics and hides his body and rushes back into the bathroom.

"I'm sorry I thought you might be dressed" Chanyeol shouts into the bathroom as Baekhyun giggles "eh no sorry can you pass me some pants and a t shirt from my top drawer please" Chanyeol grabs what was asked and passes them through the door before sitting on the bed and lowering his hood from his head.

"Hi" Baekhyun appears drying his hair with a towel making Chanyeol smiles at his cuteness.

"I believe you have some good news" Chanyeol says making Baekhyun smile a big grin

"Yep, Kai and I have been asked to do solo songs starting tomorrow" Baekhyun plops down on the bed and starts to dry his hair with the hair dryer

"Congratulations" Chanyeol smiles knowing this news already.

"Thank you for the mask it is beautiful, and I got a black and white suit for the ball"

"Baekhyun I will be attending the ball also"

"Oh god really?"

"Well it's another night like Halloween I can attend these things as I can cover my face" Chanyeol opens the box seeing the mask and looks at Baekhyun. "I have one just like it for myself " he places the mask back in the box making Baekhyun move closer to him.

"Can I have a dance at the ball with you ?" Baekhyun asks making Chanyeol laugh.

"I guess so" he takes Baekhyun's hand and twirls him around making the smaller smile.

"I can't wait" Baekhyun lets his hand go and moves the mask in the box out of the way as not to damage it .

"So will I meet you at the punch bowl the night of the ball?" Chanyeol says making Baekhyun giggle "Yeah sure or we can go together"

"Baekhyun please you know we can't people will ask who I am look what happened Halloween night even Jeno and Kai came after us looking for you as they don't know me "

"I wish you wouldn't hide" Baekhyun huffs making Chanyeol annoyed again

"I'm going see you at the ball" Chanyeol moves but Baekhyun is quick and steps in front of him leaning up against the door stopping him

"The ball is another two weeks away won't I see you before then?" Baekhyun can feel emotional and can't understand why a stranger has this pull on him.

"Give you time to miss me" Chanyeol moves the smaller out of the way and opens the door

"Fine go but I won't be at the ball" Baekhyun huffs as he sits on his bed

"Don't go then" Chanyeol says before leaving

"Oh man he sure is a hand full"
