Chapter 7
"Oh gosh!" Pacifica gasped. At the very top of the slope everyone could see the river of snow falling. "Do we run?" Hardy asked tensely as she got up.
"No...we'll be fine...see...it just ended." You pointed out. The avalanche did stopped a bit ways down but not enough to take down the whole mountain.
"I hope that nobody was up there." Pacifica replied, "or that they got away in time."
"Me too."
"Everyone! There has been an avalanche. We please request that you return to the hotel." An announcer announced and kept repeating the message. "Let's go." You replied.
You get to the hotel and there was mostly everyone there in a panic.
"Calm down! Please! Everyone calm down! It was just a small one, I'm sure that nobody is hurt or buried. It was just a small one at the peaks where hardly anyone goes. So please stay calm. We are just needing a count if everyone is here. Adults please have a count of your children! Even if the numbers add up we are still having a search team that is up there." The supervisor announced.
Everyone started to calm down a bit as they were too busy at counting people. The teachers that took you were trying to counting each of the students.
"We are missing my husband!" A woman replied.
"My child!"
"My parents!"
"we are missing 10 students." A teacher announced.
"We need names people!" The supervisor replied to them.
"Mark Jack."
"Lucy South."
"Carla and Mike Hall."
"Samantha Call, Quinn Buckley, Thomas Banks, Jill Hawk, Matty Taylor, Karl Brooks, Kallee Nez, Ayanna Yellow, Denise West and Dipper Gleeful."
Your eyes widen as the school that was there gasped. "Dipper Gleeful? Is missing?" You muttered.
"What? Dipper?" Mabel asked the teacher.
"He isn't here. was he with you?"
"No he went down the slope and wanted too....go back up to the top." Mabel then cursed under her breath, "That stupid moron!"
"Oh no! Dipper is trapped! Where is he! Is he alright! What if he was buried!" the girls started to panic.
"Calm down everyone! I'm sure Mr. Gleeful is just fine. He's a smart and resourceful boy. He most likely got out of the way." The teacher announced.
"The search team has already started. So please...everyone return to your rooms and we will notify you once we have recover everyone. Please! Go back to your rooms!"
After the heard of people crowding the stairs and elevators, you finally got to your room that was with Pacifica and Hardy.
"Dipper Gleeful...got buried by an avalanche...who know huh?" Hardy muttered.
"We don't know that." Pacifica replied.
"It's my fault..." You muttered.
"How could it be your fault?" Pacifica asked.
"Well because I wished for something bad to happen to him and look what happened!"
"I'm sure he will be found...just like with everyone else. It was a small one right? So no harm."
You sigh, "Yeah...I guess."
Hours have passed and it was getting to the afternoon. There was still no news from the search team and everyone was getting so anxious and worry. Finally you went down stairs to see the list that people have recovered. So far mostly everyone have been found...only Dipper Gleeful and Carla and Mike Hall haven't been found yet. At least the rest of the students were fine but you still felt bad about Dipper.
You went back up to your room, "They still can't find Dipper."
"(Y/N), they will find him." Pacifica tried to stay positive.
"But I wished that something bad would happen! It's my fault that my wish came true...now I feel guilty about it."
"You didn't do anything..." Hardy started.
"But I verbally did something and we all know how the guy upstairs love to take our words that we didn't mean or really think it would happen and make it true!"
"I agree at that but you can't do anything now, (Y/N)." Hardy replied.
"Oh? I think I can." You went over and grabbed your coats and bag.
"You aren't going out there to find him? I thought you hated him." Pacifica replied.
"I do hate him but...what you said about that enemies thing...well I'm doing us both a favor. Saving him and taking my word back."
"Well then you are going to freeze out there!"
"No I won't. I've token survival classes at my old school. I know how to survive. Don't worry about me okay? I just need to do this to take back my word. Beside...it could lead some blackmail on my own."
"That is the reason I was looking for." Hardy replied.
"I mean...I can say that I saved his life from a frozen death. So maybe this would even out."
Pacifica sigh, "I see your point..."
"I'll be fine." You replied before you headed out. You headed to the top. You had to go around to people because the search team wouldn't let a high school girl like yourself go up to the top of the mountain. It was cold but you took some snow shoes and made your way up to the top. By that time the sun was slowly going down.
"If I don't find him soon...I'll have to camp up here for the night...yay." You muttered, "You owe me Gleeful and by that owe...you will drop the blackmail...and finally people will know what you are truly...a monster."
You went around the mountain side. You could see the fresh snow that had rolled down the side. You scan to see if there was any signs of him, "Dipper? Dipper Gleeful!" You called out. you made sure you weren't too loud for another avalanche. You listen closely to see if he calls out. There was nothing. Not even a muffled shout. You sigh, "Great. He's either dead, buried to deep, unconscious, or not in this area."
Still searching around with the snow shoes there was no luck. Not even a sigh of life around. It was even getting darker and colder.
"Where are you Gleeful?" You muttered. Then scan the area that you were at then you notice something. At first you thought it was just a stick or a branched. Then you blinked to make sure, sometimes debris of an avalanche would make people. When you blinked it cleared up a bit and you could see it wasn't a branch or stick that was sticking out of the snow...it was a hand.
"Oh gosh!" You quickly race over to the hand and started to dig out the person. Then you could see the face, "Dipper! Oh gosh! Dipper!" You started to dig him out and saw that he was unconscious. Pulling him up you pace your ear close to his face to see if he was breathing. He was but it was very weak...hardly even there.
You shook him gently, "Dipper? Dipper!"
He was freezing cold. His clothes were wet from being under the snow but the freezing temperature had frozen the water. So his clothes weren't keeping him warm anymore...just freezing him. His fingers were started to darken, the beginning of frost bite. His lips were blue and his skin was deadly white. Even some frost was on his cheeks and nose.
"Mason! Oh gosh...this is worse than I though." You muttered. You looked around, nobody was around and it was getting darker...and it would be even colder. Dipper won't survive the night...unless....
You growled, knowing what you have to do. "Oh I hate you Gleeful."
(This is nothing sexual. This is what you actually do to warm people up by using body heat. Just letting you know.)
You lowered him down and pulled out the sleeping bag that was in your bag. This is why you brought it. It will keep you and Dipper warm but Dipper was already too frozen...he needed a little more warmth.
You lay out the sleeping bag on the snow. Then you started to strip down Dipper out of the wet and frozen clothes. You just stripped him down to his boxers. You then put him in the sleeping bag and the clothes in the back bag. Then you striped down to your underwear and climbed in the sleeping bag. You sealed up the top, only leaving a small hole for air, and you hugged Dipper's frozen form, hoping that your body heat would slowly warm him up. His body was so cold and you could barely feel a heartbeat.
As the time pasted, Dipper actually started to shiver, but stay unconscious. That was good because now he was gaining more of his senses and was actually feeling. He was warming up and becoming more alive.
It was going to be a long night. You fell asleep after a while, exhaustion got to you. You didn't want to fall asleep but it just happened. You woke up after a bit, hearing birds chirping. You looked at Dipper, he was breathing normally and wasn't shaking so badly, but he was still asleep. You hoped that he was unconscious for the rest of the night so he didn't wake up to this.
You got out of the sleeping back and put back your clothes on. Dipper's clothes was still wet and cold. You looked around, "How am I supposed to take you down the slope?" I muttered. Suddenly the sound of a helicopter came. "That works."
You then stood up and waved your hands, "Hey! Help! Over here! Over here! Hey! Help!" You shouted. Luckily the helicopter saw you and came down and got you both and everything was fine.
Dipper POV
I slowly opened my eyes. There was this beeping sound that was annoying. Everything hurts...and was so cold. My vision finally cleared up.
"ah! He's awake!" A voice replied.
I looked up and I could see an older man looking down at me. "What happened?" I mumbled.
"You were in buried under snow from an avalanche. Luckily when you got buried, that was an air hole so you could breathe but you were knocked unconscious."
"Huh."
"Then that girl found you, you were nearly frozen and wouldn't have survive."
"A girl?" I was confused by this.
"Yep...Miss...Miss...Miss (Y/N)."
My eyes widen, "W-What? H-her?"
"Yep. Luckily she had some survival lessons and she got you warm. She saved your life."
I couldn't believe it. Her? This can't be right...she wanted me dead. I could read her mind. Why would she saved me? What was she planning?
Your POV
"Wow...you actually saved Dipper Gleeful!" Hardy gasped.
"Would you stop staying that?" You growled as you and your friends headed down the stairs to the lobby, "I don't want people to know..."
"Oh that you had to strip him down, the same for yourself, so you can share body heat to stay warm and alive?"
Your cheeks redden, "I swear Hardy, if you don't shut up I will drop kick you!"
"Well thankfully you only partly undressed him...." She kept on talking. You hit her arm. "Ow! Hey! I'm saying the positive!"
"Was it weird?" Pacifica asked.
"Very, Very, Very weird. I actually had to think that it wasn't him."
"Who did you think it was?" Hardy asked.
"I don't know...a random guy I guess and not him."
"You would rather share body heat with a random guy?" Pacifica asked.
"Well...it was Dipper okay?"
"Make sense."
"I'm just glad that he was unconscious the whole time."
"Oh thank the heavens for that!" Hardy replied, "I think that would be extra extra weird if he was awake."
"It was just for survival. Nothing romantic you perverts." You rolled your eyes.
"I wasn't thinking like that! (Y/N)! Why!" Hardy growled.
You chuckled, "Well I knew that one of you were at least thinking that."
"I wasn't! Remember that I'm innocent!"
"Yeah, yeah."
"Pacifica?" You looked at her.
"I wasn't thinking that. I knew it was for saving his life."
"Exactly and now because I saved his life...he has to stop the blackmail from me and I can tell everyone what a monster he is. That will ruin his and Mabel's reputation and nobody will be pushed around by those jerks."
