Chapter 6
It's been a few weeks and it was already December. Snow has already fallen, just like the temperature.
"Aren't you excited?" Hardy asked.
"About what?" Pacifica asked.
"About the Jr class trip! It will be so much fun!"
"Yes, going on a ski resort would be loads of fun." You sarcastically replied.
"Wow, you seem so happy. At least you are going. I'm a year younger than all of you!" Gideon grumbled.
"I wish I could take your place."
"(Y/N), it's okay. It's going to be fun!" Hardy tried to stay positive.
"Well do you know who is funding the stupid trip?"
"yes, we all know. It's the Gleefuls." Pacifica rolled her eyes, "Mommy and Daddy wanted their two children's junior years to be fun and the best it could!"
You looked down and played with your food, "Exactly." You still haven't forgotten what Dipper had said. You didn't tell your parents anything and only a bit to your friends, knowing that they wouldn't say anything and they would understand.
"Oh who cares! I'm sure we won't be seeing them much anyways. We'll be doing our thing and they will be doing theirs." Pacifica replied.
You sigh, "I guess..."
Hardy pats your back, "We'll have a great time! We won't worry about anything but having fun with us three girls!"
"Gee thanks guys, I'm sure feeling the love here." Gideon snapped.
"We love you too Gid." Pacifica kissed his cheek. "Yuck!" Gideon wiped his cheek, "I'm not 5 anymore, Pacifica!"
Hardy, Pacifica, and even you chuckled. Looking back at your food, you were thinking about everything. It will be alright, would it? You won't have to see those pesky Gleefuls. They would be too busy being glorified and what not. Besides, you'll be hanging out with Hardy and Pacifica. They wouldn't be near you at all. So why worry so much.
The time has come anyways, if you were ready or not. You were at home packing. Mom came in, "Excited?"
You shrugged, "A little."
"Oh honey! You're nervous! Don't be! You'll be fine! you took all of the survival classes at your last school. If you get stuck, you'll know what to do."
You gave a small smile, "I know what to do. That is why I'm keeping this in my backpack. I learn my lesson at that." You held up your mini mountain sleeping bag. It was made for the freezing cold, heat, or anything. It could easily be folded up nice and tightly to fit in your bag. So it was nice to have around.
The last time you didn't carry it, you nearly froze.
"That's my girl. Using her brain. Besides, you'll be with your friends. It will be fun. I wish I went on trips likes these when I was your age."
Then Mom brush your hair back and kiss your forehead, "Love you."
"I love you too, Mom."
After that you were off to the ski resort. It was a big and fancy place. Hardy whistle, "Nice place! I've never been in a fancy place before!"
"It is pretty nice." You muttered.
"So what should we do first?" Pacifica asked.
"Let's go skiing!" Hardy cheered.
You chuckled, betting that Hardy had never went skiing before, "Have you been skiing before, Hardy?"
"Nope!"
You laughed, "Oh then it will be fun."
You and your two friends put your things into the room and got properly dress to head to the slopes.
"Okay! Just go slow okay!" You tried to give advice to Hardy.
Hardy shakily tried to get her skies and poles situated, "Like this?"
"Almost."
"Just keep your balance, Hardy." Pacifica was trying to help too.
"But it's so slippery!"
"That's the point."
"We are just going to take baby steps, alright? Just use the poles to push yourself forward a bit and use them to stop as you cross your skies or you can turn them to the side." You added.
"What?!" Hardy was confused.
"Haven't you done anything?!"
Suddenly Hardy just slipped and fell forward, crashing into you and Pacifica. You all fell.
"Oops! Sorry!"
You chuckled, "Oh it's fine. Just funny."
"I guess I wasn't meant to take the slopes today."
"Maybe some beginner lessons will do." Pacifica replied.
You all chuckled.
"Oh look who we got here. The three untalented bunch of losers."
You looked up and could see Mabel Gleeful and her two friends. She was wearing fancy winter clothing that she looked gorgeous in. Then her two friends in a bit more fancy but not as fancy as Mabel's. The two friends giggled at Mabel's comment.
You glared at her.
"Why did you even bother to come if you can't ski?" Mabel mocked.
"Back off Mabel." Pacifica snapped, "It doesn't really matter to you anyways. Just leave us alone."
"Oh hippie, a forest loving girl is out here in the freezing cold. I hope you get stuck up in a tree and rot. Didn't you say you wanted to die for nature?"
The girls laughed.
"Why don't you stuff snow down your throat?" You growled.
Mabel raise her eye brows, "Oh so the mouse does speak. I hope she chooses her words correctly...something might just slip out of mine." She gave a twisted smile. She placed her hand on her hip and the other at her hip, "Like oh I don't know...how is Joey? Heard from him?"
You tighten your jaw and some tears came at the corners of your eyes.
"You've gone too far, Mabel!" Hardy shouted, "You are so shallow!"
"Shallow? Oh just because I actually have good looks and actually try doesn't mean anything, sorry excuse of a girl." She tilts her head.
Then suddenly there was a snowboarder sliding this way and he turn his board to stop himself, spraying some snow into your and your friends faces. You growled in disgust and it was even more in disgust as he removed his googles, revealing Dipper Gleeful, "So this is why it takes you forever to get the slope, sister."
"Ah yes, the three sorry losers." Mabel smirked.
Dipper smirked, "Oh the bitter cold witch will get to them so easily." Then he face Mabel, "But which witch?"
Mabel smirked, "Very funny but yes...which one?"
You glared at them, fists tighten. Why did they have to be such jerks? Why are they so cruel and heartless? Only if you could tell people that they are so cruel...maybe that would teach them but you couldn't say anything.
Dipper sigh, "Well I'm going down, with or without you and heading back up."
"Trying to beat your high record, Dipper?" Candy asked, twirling her hair. You knew that Candy, like mostly everyone in the school, had a crush on Dipper. People say that Candy had a better shot because she is the only one closest to him because of Mabel.
"That is what records are for, aren't they? To be broken."
"Of course! And I'll know that you can beat any record."
You gaged at Candy's flirting. Dipper gave a slight smirked, "Of course I can." Then he put his goggles back on, "Don't fall on your face on the way down...well for you three...do it to end your misery. It will make the world three times better." He smirked before he headed off.
You glared at him as he headed down, "curse you Gleeful." You muttered.
Mabel chuckled, "That's my brother." Then she face her friends, "Come girls, we got the slopes to do. I want to get some skiing before noon so I can have a lunch date with a boy." Then they headed up the slope.
"I hope there is an avalanche or something that will wipe them away....or their attitudes. Either one I'll be fine with." Hardy muttered as she wipes some snow from her face.
"Still thinks he's cute?" Pacifica asked.
Hardy paused for a moment, "Well...yeah. I mean he's handsome but not his personality. No wonder he has a girlfriend."
"Maybe Candy would suit him just fine." Pacifica replied.
You couldn't help but laughed, "Oh if that happened, I'll be gagging. Don't you see how hard Candy tries to kiss his butt so much?"
Pacifica and Hardy laughed. "Even try to imagine how it would be like when they are dating. 'Oh Dipper! My handsome boyfriend! You are so amazing and perfect!'" You mocked.
" 'Of course I'm perfect, amazing, and handsome!'" Pacifica mocked with me.
We all laughed, "Oh how sad that would be! Just a butt kisser girlfriend and a self-center jerk. That doesn't mix so well." Hardy chuckled.
"But for our entertainment it would be fun." Pacifica added.
"It would wouldn't it? You think Dipper would be miserable?" You asked.
"Of course! Who wouldn't with her?"
"Then it would be extra fun."
"You are just saying that because he hurt you, (Y/N)" Pacifica replied.
"He hurt you too."
"Yes but we don't wish harm for those who we hate. You'll never know what comes along the road when they need you...or you need them."
"I doubt that. I'm staying far away from him as possible." You replied.
With that the conversation was over. You and your two friends continue to go down the slope. Falling down to the snow of course over and over again but that was the fun of it. Everything was running smoothly.
"Guys! Look! I'm doing it!" Hardy called out.
You watch her slowly going down the slope. You clapped and cheered for her, "You got it, Hardy!"
"Go Hardy!" Pacifica joined in the clapping and cheering.
Suddenly there was a sound of an explosion. Hardy was distracted and she fell again.
"What was that?" Pacifica asked looking around.
You knew what that sound was. You looked up and your guess was correct, "An avalanche."
