Part 17

A:N : I wrote this at 12 am with my eyes closed. Please forgive me if there's some mistakes...

Min Yoongi, as promised, knocked on Jungkook's door the next morning. Jungkook was happy to see him, but he couldn't hide the slight disappointment he felt that the girl was nowhere to be seen. Though he understand that she might be busy with whatever she's doing, it made him  worried that the girl might not like being with him. Yoongi however, didn't seem to notice the dark cloud swirling over Jungkook's head, his long legs basically bouncing down the halls while carrying Jungkook's art supplies. Was Yoongi even allowed to be in the castle at this time, acting so childish?

Jungkook didn't mention his vague suspicion of Yoongi being in the castle without getting caught by his father. As the both of them finally reached the top of the hill they were yesterday, Yoongi dropped the art supplies and stretched like a cat. His euphoria seeped around the hill, oozing through the trees like some noxious gas, which somehow infected Jungkook too, who finally smiled at the sight of him.

"Shall we start drawing then?" Yoongi asked, beaming at Jungkook.

"We?"

"I mean will you draw while I stare at you?" Yoongi asked again. The handsome boy arranged the supplies and made sure that Jungkook's art stand was steady on the bumpy ground.

" Are you sure you don't want to do anything else?" Jungkook said worriedly. There was no moment where Jungkook managed to finish his drawing at a short amount of time.

"I told you, it's okay. I like seeing someone doing things they like"

Jungkook couldn't help but frown at Yoongi. Looking back down, he ran his hands through the wood box of his cherished art supplies and pulled a canvas paper out. Without thinking about what Yoongi will do with the paper, he shoved it to him.

Now it was Yoongi who was frowning.

"I can't let you sit here and look at me all day long. It's such an unlikely way to waste your time and I'm not that interesting too"

"Okay... but what does this paper got to do with it?"

" Draw something. Paint or write something. Just do anything you want with it" Jungkook said desperately.

"Do I look like a kid to you?" Yoongi laughed.

"Just take it!"

Yoongi seemed shocked at the sudden shout, but then reached his hand forward and took the paper from his clutch.

"Geez... I don't know what it is with you if I looked at you drawing" Yoongi mumbled coldly, but his face was filled with excitement as he looked into the box. A satisfied sigh escaped Jungkook's mouth when Yoongi took a pencil and a palette out.

"It's just...It's seems like my drawing skills walk away from me whenever someone's looking at me" Jungkook smiled sheepishly.

Yoongi gave him an apprehensive look, they smiled fondly at each other and then dived into their own thoughts.

Jungkook spent a few hours to draw the scenery perfectly. Beside him, Yoongi was constantly shifting and throwing silent curses whenever his eraser disappeared from his sight. Jungkook somehow managed to fully finish his drawing in three hours. The weather was still good and he had plenty of time before rushing back inside to meet his father. His eyes went to Yoongi, who was still focused in his drawing with his back facing him. Jungkook wanted to look at his drawing, but Yoongi refused to let him see it until he's finished and thus, ended up with his back facing Jungkook and head bent a bit too low to avoid Jungkook catching a glimpse.

Seeing that Yoongi was not yet finished, Jungkook decided to bring some colors to his drawing. He placed his hand on his art stand to avoid hovering over Yoongi and bent down to take his oil paints...

"Finished" said Yoongi, in a very quiet voice. Jungkook was sure that Yoongi was only saying that to himself and he wasn't supposed to hear it if he was still seated on his place, but that didn't stop him from flinching.

Jungkook missed his grip and almost fell face forward on Yoongi's lap.

"Were you trying to see my drawing?" Yoongi asked suspiciously, adjusting Jungkook's art stand that moved a little when Jungkook almost slipped. Jungkook shook his head violently, appeared to find himself being so close to Yoongi. Yoongi seemed unbothered as he rummaged the supplies in the box again, oblivious that his sketch was falling loose on the ground with no covering.

Jungkook gasped over it. Yoongi's sketch was rough and simple, yet it was filled with every small details. There was a very creepy man standing under the moonlight, only his sharp nose presentable from the large cloak he was wearing, swaying eerily as if there was wind blowing hardly.  A long necklace was swaying from his neck as well, carrying a diamond shaped locket that had three letters engraved on it.

Jungkook could only see the first letter. It was the letter J.

"Who's this?" he couldn't help but ask. He saw Yoongi's pale skin turning scarlet, but he wasn't sure if it was because he's angry or shy. The boy in front of him snatched the paper away and clutched it to his chest.

"Who gave you permission to look at it?" he asked furiously, yet with a tint of softness in his voice.

"I didn't look at it!" Jungkook defended himself, although he knew well that he looked at it. "The drawing was the one flapping in front of my eyes!" he added when he realized his denial isn't valid since he already asked who the man was.

" There's no wind here for it to be flapping in front of your eyes" Yoongi snapped.

"So, who is it? What inspired you to draw him?" Jungkook asked again. He hated to admit it, but Jungkook can't draw something without having a reference, The fact that Yoongi managed to draw something so detailed without looking at anything impressed him.

"Who is it?"

"Gosh... you're annoying" Yoongi stated but didn't budge away. Giving a judgemental look, Yoongi handed his drawing to Jungkook, in which he took away happily.

"Who is it? Tell me!"

"It's the man that is lurking in our castle, annoying young man!" Yoongi shouted hastily.

"What?" Jungkook tilted his head, genuinely confused.

"Wait" said Yoongi. He hesitated for a moment, then brought his head closer and whispered "You don't know?"

"I dunno" said Jungkook.

Yoongi's eyes got slightly bigger as he shifted his gaze into the wooden box and delved deeper into it. He was avoiding Jungkook's gaze. He watched Yoongi carefully when the boy then shifted his gaze to Jungkook's drawing and looked at it instead. Jungkook always had a thing for drawings that are smart and neat. However, for the first time, he seemed to like Yoongi's very rough sketch.

Jungkook stared at it. "This man is in our castle?" he asked.

"Can't be anything dangerous, your father is doing a good job to bring him away" replied Yoongi. "But this man here is good in vanishing into thin air too"

"But why didn't I know anything?" asked Jungkook, bringing Yoongi's drawing under his nose. "What does J even mean, and why are these two letters too blurry?"

" We don't know yet..." Yoongi hesitated for a moment. " I don't know why you're not informed about this but this man here is roaming in every corner of the castle. At first, your father thought it was only a false alarm but then, almost every day a maid or worker shows up and complain about him, so your father finally took matter in his hands"

Jungkook stared closely to the drawing. He find out that the man also had a scar on his right hand, a big scar that would only come if someone slashed a dagger into your hand.

"Did you just drew this based on what people said about him?" Jungkook asked again. Yoongi chuckled and shook his head.

" I saw him" Yoongi shuddered.
