The sound of steal hitting steal erupted from the battlefield as two grand fighters fought without a care in the world of who observed. Those two were the Shinto warrior Ushiwakamaru, embracing her inner demon by the name Taira no Kagekiyo. The other was the great King of Kuoh, Y/n Gilgamesh L/n.

Y/n: "Hup!!"

I swing upwards as Yoshitsune glided down in my direction. Our blades collided, causing a loud sound that ringed in our ears. However, we paid it no mind. Rather, we were overjoyed.

Taira: "LORD Y/N!!!"

Y/n: "YOSHITSUNE!!!"

I push her back and we both immediately charge back as we each skillfully evade one another's strike and try to lop the other's head off.

*STRIKE*

I go for her chest.

*STRIKE*

Hit nothing but steel. She swings for my neck.

*STRIKE*

I parry it and go to plung my sword into her head. I miss from her ducking and find myself in a bit situation. Taira gets around me and has my blind spot.

Taira: "Haaaa!!!"

She turned her blade as I bring mine down. When she swung, I used the pommel of my katana to stop the attack from reaching me.

Taira: "*chuckles* Always difficult to beat~?"

Y/n: "I wouldn't say that"

She jumped back as I continued to watch her, making sure to not lose eye contact with her once again.

Taira: "Your reflexes are top notch. Your strength is unequaled. You are the ultimate warrior for sure"

Y/n: "Your quickness is quite the bothersome part of you. I have to think twice as fast to even evade your strikes. Not to mention the power behind that strike. I'd say that the title you spoke about fits YOU perfectly"

The sword stood at my side while the two of us grin from ear to ear from the excitement we were feeling.

Taira: "You seem to see things before they happen"

Y/n: "Predicting someone's movements isn't something so difficult after you've seen it all"

Taira: "Fair point, however.."

Taira: "I'll still bring you down, King of Kuoh"

Y/n: "Many have uttered those words. Kings, warriors, gods. Yet, here I remain. Alive. Breathing. Champion. And most importantly..

Y/n: "Above ALL beings and life forms"

Taira began to laugh to herself while giving off a murderous glare.

Taira: "Then I too, must slay a GOD~!!"

Y/n: "When this is over, I'll make you submit to your new King~"

She quickly disappeared from my vision and immediately blocked her strike from in front.

Taira: "Can you train someone so wild?!"

Y/n: "A wild mongrel is still a dog at its core~"

I switch to the offensive swinging my blade at every open spot I got while Taira defended well.

Y/n: "All it needs is a master to bend it to whatever he desires~!!!"

Taira: "Let's see how it goes!! A beast is always most dangerous when cornered"

She deflects my sword and quickly turns it to plunge her blade into my chest.

Y/n: "Only when faced with a spineless bastard. I am no such thing"

She felt a massive pain over her head as I used the pommel once more to smash it into her cranium.

Y/n: "I. Am. A King"

While she was temporarily stunned, I swung my leg and kicked her away a few meters, stopping to let her gather her thoughts.

Taira: "*coughs*.. *chuckles* I suppose I should of seen something coming~? You aren't the strongest in the competition for nothing"

She got up and wiped away the blood running down her lip.

Taira: "Now then.."

Taira: "Allow me to offer this Lord a gift~"

I chuckle a bit as a burst of mana ejects.

Y/n: "A Noble Phantasm? I wonder if I can just tank it~?"

Taira: "I wouldn't recommend it, but you're more than welcome to sit there"

She smiles as she begins leaping forward, shadows following behind her.

"I won't be sitting still"

My beast eye began to charge up as I waited for Taira to get closer.

Taira: "All the Genji. All my enemies die!!"

She jumped up as the shadows were slowly absorbed into her blade.

Taira: "All things must pass, to flourish is to fall!!"

Y/n: "COME AT ME!!"

I felt it ready, I was about to unleash my beam straight at her.

Taira: "Fleeting World!!"

Y/n: "Mana circulate in my eye.."

Taira: "Fleeting-!!"

Y/n: "FIR-!!"

We were suddenly flung away tens of meters away and crashed into a large boulder.

??: "To think, I'd finally find you, King of Kuoh"

I could sense 2 powerful auras ahead of us.

??: "I've.. finally caught you.. Y/n Gilgamesh L/n.."

I get up as the rubble falls around me.

Y/n: "Seems like I'm a pretty wanted man?.. Hm?"

I look down to see that I was pinning down Yoshitsune.

Taira: "Oi, off me. Now"

She had a powerful glare on her, kinda rubbing something deep inside me somehow.

Y/n: "No.. I don't think I will"

Taira: "I'M GOING TO KILL THEM AND YOU!!!"

Y/n: "You might be underestimating them"

She struggled to move but I binded her with Enkidu.

Y/n: "They are definitely strong"

Taira: "I get it!!.. Look, I'll help you out just get off me already!!"

I sigh as I get off her and summon my throne.

Y/n: "This seems to be interesting"

I stick my hand out and climb out.

Y/n: "Well that was a little rude"

Taira: "We were in the middle of something too"

I help her down while staring down the competition.

"So, the two kids of the Hindu Gods?"

Y/n: "I suppose they wouldn't like to talk it out?"

I take a seat on my throne as I hear Taira sigh while sticking close to me.

Taira: "It's a competition idiot. What warrior talks in battle?"

Y/n: "Weren't we doing that too?"

Taira: "I-I don't recall it"

She looked away while I chuckled to myself.

Ahri: "MASTER!!"

Ahri suddenly appeared and jumped onto my lap, immediately beginning to administer healing magic.

Y/n: "Ahri? Well, isn't this a coincidence?"

Heracles: "Lord Y/n"

I look over to see Heracles arriving with a guest.

Y/n: "Heracles?.. I see you have company with you?"

It seemed that Caenis, who stood besides the Greek demigod, was in a sort of alliance with the two.

Ahri: "She's on our side"

Y/n: "Good.. Ahri, heal and buff Taira"

Ahri: "Oh. Alright"

She did as I asked before Taira rushed infront of us to cut down an attack.

Taira: "Dammit!! Seems they caught up"

Y/n: "I had a feeling they would"

Heracles: "Lord Y/n, who's the enemy?"

I rested his chin on his hand while pointing forward with the other.

Y/n: "Them"

The two Hindu warriors arrived at our destination with eyes on me.

Arjuna: "So this is.. where you ran off to?"

Karna: "King of Kuoh, we are not finished"

Y/n: "*chuckles* Neither was I"

I open my eyes as my mother's was glowing.

Y/n: "I was just about to get serious again~"

I could sense their power was incredible. An enormous amount of mana was inside them both that could rival any warrior.

Karna: "Y/n, we've come to do battle. Rise up or I'll have to force you to"

Arjuna: "I will not fall.. twice. I am the strongest in.. this competition"

My eyebrow rises as I hear his proclamation.

Arjuna: "SO STANF UP AND FIGHT.. FIGHT ME SERIOUSLY!!!"

However..

Y/n: "*chuckles*

Ahri: "Master?"

Heracles and Caenis both glanced over to see me suppressing my laughter.

Taira: "This isn't the time for laughing"

Y/n: "FUHUHAHAHAHA!!!"

Arjuna: "What's so.. funny?"

Arjuna was glaring at me as I cover my face with the palm of my hand, bursting into laughter.

Karna: "We are serious Y/n-!!"

Arjuna: "I'll destroy you.. for laughing"

Heracles: "AHRI!! BARRIERS!!"

She quickly enacted her strongest defense as Arjuna began to slice through it with relative ease.

Ahri: "It won't hold up!! Mast-!!!"

Y/n: "FUHUHAHAHAHAAA!!!"

Taira: "HEY!!!"

Why am I one to doubt myself so much?..

The sword was a meter from cutting straight down my head and moving as I continued to laugh.

Heracles: "LORD Y/N!!"

Caenis: "Ahri move!!!"

Caenis rushes in and removes Ahru from my lap while the Taira and Heracles rush Arjuna, but are immediately matched by Karna.

Ahri: "MASTER!!"

Is it because I've lost a lot? Perhaps, but I've lost the term fear long before. Or so I tell myself..

The laughter stops but I still had my hand covering my face.

I fear things still. The thought of losing everyone. The thought of one day waking up to all this being over. However..

Arjuna: "You die now!!"

Ahri: "MASTER!!!"

The sword was a foot from my head, but I didn't worry a bit.

That fear extends only to Beasts. In here, everyone is in a cage with one. In here I am unrivaled. The Child of Genesis. The Heir of the King of Heroes. Son of the Greater Grail. I am THE KING. I AM..!!

Arjuna paused for a second as he felt a terrifying glare. He matched my gaze and saw a single red eye staring straight at him.

Arjuna: "WHAT-?!"

Y/n: "A God Slayer'

In a flash, his entire upper body was obliterated. An explosion signaled the end of Arjuna's time in the Azazel Cup.

Karna: "How?!"

They all looked back to see me slowly rising from my throne.

Y/n: "Many powerful races gather here in this tournament, yet I stand alone among them as the strongest. The Pillar of Humanity"

Y/n: "I AM Y/N GILGAMESH L/N!!! Son of King Gilgamesh, Son of Irisviel and Child of Tiamat and KING OF KUOH!! If you wanted me to be serious, then I'll happily grant you your wish"

Hundreds of gates open as Karna takes a step back.

Y/n: "No need to run, I'm not letting anyone go"

I fire off a barrage of swords that Karna manages to evade of block while expending a lot of energy.

Y/n: "Not satisfied yet?"

I fire consecutive barrages at him while making my way forward. I made sure not to hit my allies while the son of Surya found it difficult to counter.

He quickly glided up as I take out a golden sword from Babylon.

Y/n: "Barriers up Ahri. I'm taking this one head on"

Ahri: "A-Alright master"

The rest got closer to her as I went to face Karna on my own.

Karna: "Y/N L/N!!"

I look up to see him preparing something dangerous.

Karna: "I'll strike you down with this King of Kuoh"

I stick my hand out as a golden aura surrounds me.

Y/n: "O Beautiful mother of the King. You who shelter this child with your arms. I ask for your wings in this battle"

Karna: "Vasavi Shakti!!!"

He fires his Noble Phantasm straight at me as the golden aura takes shape.

Y/n: "Arms of Ninsun"

I'm surrounded by the image of a golden woman who shields me with her body.

"Thanks, Grandmother"

The attack lands head on as I feel the area violently shake around me as it threatens to break my fortress.

Caenis: "Is he gonna hold up?!"

Taira: "ARE WE?!"

They were caught in the blast and were barely hanging on.

Heracles: "What is does he got up his sleeve?"

The heat began to sink in as the strong wind began to push them. Heracles picked up Ahri in on hand and was holding Caenis's hand as she was nearly blown away. Taira on the other hand, was using her swords to pin her in place.

Taira: "DO SOMETHING IDIOT!!"

Y/n: "Didn't I tell you?"

Taira: "Huh?"

The could see the King of Kuoh holding a bow in his hand.

Y/n: "I'm classified as a Grand Archer or whatever, right Shiki?"

"Hello friend. Yes, you have that in your qualified servant class"

Y/n: "Then I'm going to need a bow for it"

I take the golden sword I brought out and began to change its form into pure mana. From it, I shaped it into an arrow.

"I can see the Grand Caster candidate credentials now too"

Y/n: "This will do until I create my own bow"

"Pretty bow"

Y/n: "I'll give it to you next time"

I put the arrow and pull the string as I speak out something I learned from Odin.

Y/n: "Rune magic: Devastation"

Rune wordings spread across the Golden bow as it imbueds the arrow with magic.

Y/n: "Try to catch this"

I release it and flies straight through powerful Noble Phantasm, piercing Karna across the shoulder.

Karna: "AAAAHHH!!!"

He falls back to the ground after narrowly evading it.

Y/n: "*sighs* I was hoping to end this quickly"

I step forward but sense something wrong. I turn to my left to see Eucliwood and someone behind her.

Y/n: "Who are you?"

Kartikeya: "Kartikeya, I was looking for you"

Y/n: "That's so?"

*BOOM*

Remaining Sitri members have been eliminated by Yumeko Yukari.

55 combatants remain.

We glare at one another as the rest run over to me.

Caenis: "You need to watch out with him Y/n!!"

She grabbed my arm but I paid her no attention.

Caenis: "He's very powerful!!! He-!!"

Y/n: "I'll beat him"

I could see him smirking as I move a step forward.

Y/n: "Let go.. of my Eu-"

Taira: "Huh?"

The King was no longer where he stood.

An loud bang was heard after as they see the King having been launched into some trees. He was massively wounded and bleeding all over the place.

Heracles: "When did he-?"

Kartikeya: "Is that all the King of Kuoh had?"

Y/n: "*coughs*"

I slowly get up from the rubble as I reattach my shoulder in place.

Y/n: "*chuckles* Now this.."

I raise my head up as steam begin emitting from my wounds, healing them in the process. I take out a weapon I told myself I wouldn't use. Empyrean Musashi.

Y/n: "This will be a good fight~"

Karitkeya: "Can you keep up with me?"

My eye begins glowing as I active my mother's strength.

Y/n: "Yea, I can~"
