Few months back

Everything was peaceful. Nobody had seen or mentioned anything beast related at the moment. The world was safe for now. The Kingdom of Kuoh was in the process of being handed to Y/n L/n, the "son", successor and vessel of the great King of Heroes. King Gilgamesh of Uruk.

While all that was happening, a lot of his servants were off doing their own thing to pass time. Y/n was working on the paperwork with Siduri and Amagi for future designs regarding protection and safety measures to put around Kuoh. The use of Dingirs were being thought out between the 3 geniuses of the L/n peerage as a smiling bundle of joy was sitting on a chair, watching the 3 ramble amongst one another. She cheered on her "child" and the girls, bringing support from the back as they chuckled at her positivity. Mr. Leviathan just had his temple built and the mansion on the countryside had officially been reconstructed to house the now 2nd mother of Y/n, the Beast of Calamity, Tiamat.

Y/n: "Care to join us mother?"

Tiamat: "YES!!!"

Elsewhere in Kuoh, Mordred had been training with Ahri in a field. The two were working on their own techniques and spells. Ahri was enhancing Mordred's physical parameters to get more practice in while Mordred tried to keep herself in peak condition by swinging her sword around. It had been drizzling so the rain drops had been working as her opponent. At this moment, not a single bit of the rain had fallen onto Mordred's skin or clothes.

Ahri: "Good. Not a single drop on you"

Mordred: "Thanks to your buffs *panting* KEEP THEM COMING!!! I need to be stronger if I'm to be someone to stand beside my king!!!"

Ahri: "That-a-girl. Enhance Body Modifications EX!!!"

Mordred: "Nice!!"

Meanwhile, Isla and Eucliwood were enjoying some tasty snacks in Sona's office along with her peerage. Y/n had asked her for a favor to keep them entertained while he and the brains of his new family prepared the blueprints for the new Kingdom of Kuoh. Tiamat had also been invited but refused since she wanted to be next to her child more.

Eucliwood: "These chocolates are really good!! Thank you"

Isla: "They were delicious!! T-Thank you miss.."

Sona: "No problem, feel free to come visit when you like"

Tsubaki: "Care for more Isla?"

Isla: "I-If you insist"

The final two members of Y/n's team, Kaga and Akagi where enjoying the stormy weather at the mansion. A soothing melody hits their ears as the wind rushes pass the furin on the outside. With some tea brewed by their elder sister, the two enjoyed each other's company as time went on

Akagi: "What a beautiful day it is today sister, don't you think?"

Kaga: "Yes. Say, it's weird not to see you.. You know. Seeking commander's affection like usual?"

Akagi: "Just for today, I wish to see the sky and let my commander do his work. He's working real hard for his goal and I do not wish to disturb him"

Kaga: ".. Of course *sip* Sister makes some great tea"

... But there were two people missing from this.

Inside the Gilgamesh-Y/n mansion

In the mansion, nobody had entered but 2 individuals. They had went inside hours ago for lunch but hadn't came out. In a room labeled "Gilgamesh's room" laid the King of Heroes himself with something on him, hidden under the covers.

*yawn*

Gilgamesh opens his eyes to find that X had been sleeping on his chest.

Gilgamesh: "What a beautiful thing to wake up to"

He leaned back on the bed as he pet her soft, blonde hair.

Gilgamesh: "What quiet times we're living in.. I wish things would stay this peaceful forever. Saber, I want to say... I.."

He found it hard to let his words come out as he got closer to her ear.

Gilgamesh: "Curse this damn ego for refusing me the right to say it"

X: "Mmmm... Gil.. food.."

X began to talk in her sleep as Gilgamesh chuckles to himself.

Gilgamesh: "Even in your sleep, you still think about food? You won't have to worry about hunger anymore if you stick by me. I have a treasury of not just weapons and jewels, but also food. Food just for you"

She nuzzled up closer to him as her face was just inches from his.

Gilgamesh: "Getting this close to me.. I could rob you of a kiss in such a defenseless position Saber"

He grinned as he got closer to her lips. He stopped himself and instead, gently placed her on the bed before pinning her down with her hands up.

Gilgamesh: "Better yet, I could just take what I please right now~ You are mine after all~"

He looked at her doting face and pinched her cheek softly.

Gilgamesh: "But I wouldn't do that. I want you-"

When he let go off her hands, they immediately went towards Gilgamesh and pressed her face onto his chest.

X: "Don't.. leave"

Gilgamesh was surprised by the sleepy X's hug that he didn't know what to do or how to react for a few seconds.

Gilgamesh: "Very well then, I shall give you the honor of laying beside the King of Heroes. Along with that, you also get freedom to embrace me as long as I get something in return"

He wrapped his arms around her as a gate dropped a blanket over them.

Gilgamesh: "You become mine more than the physical that I already own. Just give up that cold heart of yours and be mine"

He thought of something and opened a gate as he reached inside, looking for something. It was of the upmost importance from the looks of his expression.

Gilgamesh: "Come on, it's got to be somewhere in here?"

He managed to find what he was looking for and pulled it out.

Gilgamesh: "At last, there you are"

He pulled out a small box and opened it to find a ring inside it.

Gilgamesh: "Sab-.. X. Because of my large ego, I can't properly communicate what I've been meaning to say this entire time. I'm hoping this can talk for me and express how much you mean to me since meeting you"

He takes it out and throws the box away.

Gilgamesh: ".. X, I don't think I've had a family this close since I was alive. Back when Enkidu and Siduri were there during my reigning days. During sed days, I never had a queen. Not because I wanted all the power, but because I couldn't find someone that could keep up with me.. I'm scared of losing you and the boy. You two are the closest thing I have to an actual family.. a son.. a wife"

He carefully placed the ring on her finger and kissed it as he embraced her a little tighter.

Gilgamesh: "Can you hear it? The heartbeat of a foolish boy who's fallen in love with the woman of his dream. Such a fool of a boy yet.. I don't mind being an idiot who fell in love for you. Tell me X.. Would you fall in love with this halfwit who fell for you?"

He began to close his eyes as the fatigue of having to take care of everybody earlier had finally got to him.

X: "Of course.."

His eyes shot open as he looks down to see a flustered X looking up at him with a smile that could paralyze even a king.

X: "It had been long since I'd fallen for you my king.. but would you accept this Saber even if it isn't the one you've been looking f-"

Her silenced her with a kiss.

Gilgamesh: "Whether you're the same Saber or not, I do not care. It isn't the past Saber who's made me fall for you now"

He lifted her chin up so she can see his grin.

Gilgamesh: "It's the current one I have in my arms that I'm dying to be with"

X: "In that case"

She holds onto the ring and buries her face onto his chest.

X: "I accept"
