Y/n: "How are we doing with the plan Raynare?"

Raynare: "Everything has been going as you planned my King. Issei Hyoudou has been getting along well with our little priestess"

Y/n: "Good. Give it a couple more days before you start the ritual.. and one more thing"

Raynare: "Yes?"

Y/n: "Don't mess this up or my protection over you is gone"

Raynare: "O-Of course, I promise I won't fail you my King"

Y/n: "I don't want promises, I want results. I'll let you keep working"

Raynare: "I'll get to work then. I'll start the next step"

Y/n: "Good"

I hang up while turning to my left and see Eu was cutting a couple of apple slices. I was currently teaching her how to cook before I had to make a quick call to Raynare and check up on the progress of her mission.

Y/n: "You're doing great Eu"

Eu: "Thanks to you"

She smile as I start mixing the batter.

Y/n: "I'm telling you right now, I know you'll love the fruit cake"

Eu: "I bet I will if it's the two of us making it"

We both were full of smiles when I heard a knock on the door. I put the bowl down and make my way towards it. I open it and find a few familiar faces.

Rias: "Y/n, there's something I'd like to discuss with you"

I show my disgust as I let Rias and her peerage in. I close the door behind me and guide them towards the table.

Y/n: "What do you want? I'm currently busy"

Eu comes to my side after noticing our guests.

Rias: "If I recall correctly, you asked for the evil pieces in exchange for aiding us should we need your help"

Y/n: "Yea, and?"

Rias: "I'd like to request your help with something small. You see-"

Y/n: "Let me stop you right there Rias"

I look at her in the eyes, extremely irritated.

Y/n: "This favor you're about to ask, I'd like to remind you is a one time request. Don't waste it or my time on something stupid"

Rias: "What?!"

She slams her hands on the table.

Rias: "I thought we agreed-"

Y/n: "We agreed that the terms would be, I would offer you my services did I not say that? I never said I was in an alliance with you or your race"

She gritted her teeth as I smiled at her.

Y/n: "So, what's this-"

I felt a tug on my shirt.

Eu: "Should I be here?"

Y/n: "Of course. You are my queen after all"

I whisper to Eu as I look back at the annoyance that is Rias Gremory.

Y/n: "My word was final, this is the last chance you got. What do you want? If you are here to simply waste my time then you know where the door is"

Rias: "We have a lead on someone who killed Issei before he turned into my devil. She is a fallen angel"

She shows me a picture of a familiar worker of mine in a dress.

Raynare.

Y/n: "And? What do you want from me?"

Rias: "Keep an eye out for her. She still deserves to be punished for what she did to Issei"

Y/n: "That's what you'll be using as your favor?! To be a look out for killing that puny pawn of yours?! She did you the favor of helping you convert him into a pawn. You should be thanking her"

Issei: "Who the hell are you calling puny?! She played with my emotions!! Don't you know what that feels like?!"

Y/n: "No, I don't. I don't harbor these bothersome emotions you speak of. Why would I get attached to something that could also kill me? Besides, I already own everything. Why need something with so many cons attached to it?"

Rias: "Just help us find her, that's all"

She looks towards Eu.

Rias: "So she joined your peerage?"

Y/n: "Yes. Now that all's said and done, go home"

She didn't take her eyes off her.

Rias: "Can I trade you some of my spare pieces in exchange for her?"

Y/n: "She isn't property I will just give up. Don't ever come into my home and ask me something stupid like that again or I'll rip you to shreds"

I was holding back the urge to open Babylon and fire a plethora of weapons at her. How dare she make such a remark like that?! Eucliwood isn't something I'll give up. She isn't some simple chess piece, she's my friend.

Rias: "I understand. I offended you and I apologize"

Y/n: "Don't ever ask it again. What about this girl?"

Rias: "Like I said, just keep an eye out for her and let me know when you see her"

Y/n: "I will. Now, if you so please"

I point her to the door.

Rias: "I will take my leave then"

She waves towards Eu before her peerage follow her out. They exit and I lean back on the chair. Eu goes back to the kitchen counter and grabs a few apple slices. She walks towards me and puts one on my mouth.

Y/n: "Thanks, these are really good"

She feeds me another one, giving me all the energy to continue with our cake project. I step to the side and pull out my phone, dial up the number to call Raynare.

Raynare: "Yes, what is it my King?"

Y/n: "You got problems"

Raynare: "What is it?"

Y/n: "You got Rias and her peerage looking after you. We need everything to move faster now. We have no time to keep waiting"

Raynare: "As you wish. I'll bring Asia back here after her mission with one of our priests"

Y/n: "Whatever. Just get it done and fast"

I hang up and go back to the baking. After a couple of hours, the cake is finally done and it looks amazing.

Y/n: "Looks like we did a good job"

I grab a kitchen knife and 2 plates. I cut up a few slices and we enjoy our meal.

Y/n: "So what do you think? Pretty good don't you agree?"

Eu: "I love it"

Y/n: "I thought you would"

I clean a bit of frosting she had on her cheek and grab a newspaper I found outside. I had noticed something I saw in the front page that stuck out.

Y/n: "Hmm. An attack without having to lay a finger on the victim. That isn't normal"

Eu comes to my side to read as well.

Y/n: "Whatever it was, it killed off a village without a weapon. It lives in the mountain but nobody has ever encountered it.. looks like this beast may be powerful. Eu, put your armor on. We are taking off to find this creature"

Eu: "What will you be doing?"

Y/n: "If it decides to act right, I'll invite it over to my peerage"

Eu: "What if it becomes hostile?"

Y/n: "Then I'll put it down. Or maybe I'll just force it to be a good boy~"

I smirk as I put on some clothes and wait for Eu by the door while she get dressed. I think about what I'll be doing regarding the sacred gear user.

Her potential is great. I should consider keeping her if Raynare keeps messing up.

After a few minutes, Eu walks up to me.

Y/n: "You ready?"

She nods enthusiastically.

Y/n: "Alright, let's take off"

We walk out and head towards a bus stop.

Y/n: "I can't believe a king needs to take the bus"

Eu: "You need to be more considerate about transportation"

Eu: "We don't have a vehicle to go to places"

Y/n: "I guess you're right"

Though I could buy a car if I need to.

The bus finally arrives and we walk in. There were a few people inside, all of them had their eyes on Eu. She was a beautiful girl after all so I don't blame them. We sit at the back so we can plan things out.

Y/n: "Alright, what are we thinking this animal looks like?"

Eu: "It could be a mage? Doesn't have to be an animal"

Y/n: "You're right, but what type of mage could do something like this? They would need to cast a large spell to take out an entire village in the dead of night"

Eu: "How big of a gate can you open?"

Y/n: "I don't know actually. I haven't tried to open them at a large scale"

I think about the amount of energy it would take to use a spell like that.

Y/n: "That would require some EX type of magic"

A couple of hours later we arrive at the foot of the mountain. We jump off the bus and make our way to the top where the supposed reports say it should be at. The entire time I felt a pair of eyes on us which made me think that I could possibly be true.

Y/n: "You feel it too?"

Eu: "Yes"

Y/n: "Whatever it is, it's got some unreal amount of power"

It began drawing nearer the closer we got to the tip of the mountain. I stayed on guard with Babylon at any moment it decided to attack. Soon we arrived at a cave.

??: "Who dares step foot near my home?"

Y/n: "A king. You who's killed off a village, show yourself"

??: "I DIDN'T INTEND TO KILL THEM!!"

2 magical orbs were sent towards us.

Y/n: "Fool"

I open Babylon and launch a giant swords to shield us from the attacks.

??: "What?!"

Y/n: "I'm impressed. That's some fancy magic you got there"

She fired more but I used more swords as shields.

??: "Why won't it work?!"

Y/n: "Because you aren't putting the power to kill me. I knew you never meant to kill anybody from the start"

??: "Then why are you here? Why go through the trouble of finding me if you aren't here to kill me?"

Y/n: "Who said I'm not here to kill you?"

I find her location and smile.

Y/n: "Enkidu"

My gates open around her and chain her up.

??: "Ahh!!"

I walk towards her and at last put a face to this beast.

Y/n: "So this is what you look like?"

??: "You've caught me. Just kill me already"

Y/n: "I also didn't say I was"

??: "Then what do you want from me?"

Y/n: "I'll kill you if you don't answer me with what I want. How do you feel about atoning for your sins?"

??: "I want to, I truly do, but I don't know how"

Y/n: "Join me. I'm looking for strong beings who are able to protect those in my future kingdom"

??: "Protect your people? Why me? Why someone who's murdered you humans?"

Y/n: "There was 1 survivor"

Her face was full of shock.

??: "Someone.. survived"

Y/n: "A little girl. She said she didn't feel a thing. The only thing she could see was a beautiful dream. No pain, no suffering"

Her face went down to the ground, a sign of relief in her face.

Y/n: "So tell me, why did you do it?"

??: "I.. I just wanted to see the memories, my power drives of life essence. The emotions you humans have is something that had me curious. I didn't know how to stop myself when I first had a taste of how it felt... I'm sorry"

Y/n: "Then"

I release her from the chains as she drops the ground on her knees. I stretch my hand out to her.

Y/n: "Join me. Let me help heal your pain. Let me help you control your power and hunger so you use it as a way where you won't hurt others"

??: "B-But what if I-"

Y/n: "I'll let you consume some of my life essence while you train to control it better. Does that work for you?"

??: "What if it kills you?"

Y/n: "HAHAHA!! and who says I'll die? I'm 2/3 god you know. Something as small as that won't ever kill me"

She looks up at me in awe.

Y/n: "Besides, I'm too proud just to die like that. Now, I'm not one to beg anybody. I'm asking you to join me if you like. If you don't want to, I'll leave and never bother you again-"

She jumps into my arms as she trembles a bit.

??: "Please.. help me, I don't want to hurt anybody anymore"

I breath out a sigh of relief while patting her head.

Y/n: "I'll help you then"

I turn to Eu. She gives me a smile as I hold onto...

Y/n: "What's your name?"

Ahri: "Ahri"

Y/n: "I'm Y/n and this is Eucliwood"

I carry her bridal style as we walk down the dirt path.

Y/n: "Hey Eu"

Eu: "Yes"

Y/n: "How do we explain her existence to the people in the bus?"

We stop for a moment and think.

Eu: "Cosplay?"

Y/n: "This is why I keep you around. You're smart"

We continue on our way to the bus stop. As the bus arrives, we take our seat and an old lady was looking at us funny.

Older lady: "Youngins, always into some type of foreplay I see"

She giggled a little to my pain.

Y/n: "Well this isn't a embarrassing moment at all"

Ahri nuzzles up to my neck as she falls asleep. The bus takes off atlast while I notice an important detail. Ahri's tails alone take up more than 2/3 of the back seats in the bus. I hold onto Ahri while Eucliwood was buried inside her tails for comfort.

At least she looks cozy.

She fell asleep while I kept watch of all the passengers who keep looking at us with funny looks. They are smiling at the fact I have a sleeping girl in my arms and another girl who is sleeping on my shoulder who's covered in the other girl's tails.

Y/n: "What piece could I offer her?"

I debate myself inside my head but ultimately come up to the conclusion of making her a bishop. I've heard from Sona that bishop's rely on their magic as their main way of helping the team which might fit her well. A few hours later, we arrive at our stop and hop off.

Y/n: "Hey Ahri, wake up"

Ahri: "Mmmm?"

Y/n: "We're here. You too Eu"

After hopping out the bus, we make our way to the house. In the front door though, I find them again.

Y/n: "Well look who we got here"

They turn around to face me.

Rias: "Y/n?"

Y/n: "I heard what you said before, I'll keep an eye out"

Rias: "We found out the fallen angel responsible for hurting Issei"

Y/n: "Don't you think, I don't know, maybe he shouldn't have fallen in love at first sight? What kind of idiot does that?"

Issei: "Hey!!"

I open the door and walk in with the rest following behind me. I set Ahri down in my bed before walking over to a chair next to it.

Issei: "So who's the babe in the bed?"

Y/n: "None of your business mongrel"

I grab Ahri by the hand and look at her.

Y/n: "I just want to know if you really-"

Ahri: "Yes!! I want to be by your side if that's okay"

I overhear Rias talk to one of her servants about how much power she has.

Rias: "Could I have a word?"

Y/n: "What do you want?"

Rias: "I'd like to invite her over to my team if you don't mind"

Y/n: "Are you insane? I just-"

Rias: "This is a competition"

Y/n: "You can't just show up-"

Ahri: "Don't"

I feel Ahri put her finger on my lips as she looks towards Rias.

Ahri: "Thanks for the offer but I reject it. I found who I want to serve under and atone my sins under"

I smile at her words before looking back at Rias with a smirk.

Y/n: "Well there you have it"

She sighs as she gets back on track.

Rias: "We think we found the girl's hideout. We'd like to request your help"

Y/n: "... Alright, let me know where they're at. I'll do the scouting and let you know"

Rias: "Thanks. Good luck with making your peerage bigger"

Akeno walks up to Rias and gives her some news that seem to have piss her off.

Rias: "We'll take our leave Y/n. Have a good night"

They walk out just as I open a gate and pull the box containing the evil pieces. I grab the bishop piece and bring it towards her.

Y/n: "Alright. Ahri, I ask you here and now. I want you to be part of my peerage. I will guide you through your toughest of times, I'll be the light to your darkness if you allow me to. I ask you to join my peerage and become my first bishop. What do you say?"

Ahri: "I accept"

The bishop piece went into her body. She began to move around a bit.

Ahri: "I feel a bit stronger. Thanks master!!"

She jumps into my arms again as I pet her head.

Y/n: "There we go. I got something to do so you girls stay here and get to know each other better"

They both nod as I step out and walk towards the church. I pull my phone out and dial up Raynare.

Raynare: "Hello?"

Y/n: "Raynare, change of plans. You are doing the ritual tomorrow"

Raynare: "What?! But the plans aren't ready yet-"

Y/n: "We don't have time!! Because of how much of an idiot you were, they found you. I'm not asking you, I'm telling you!! Start the ritual tomorrow or I'll get someone else to start it. I'm on my way there"

Raynare: ".. As you wish. We'll wait for your arrival"

I hang up and punch the wall.

Y/n: "God dammit Raynare. This shit better not fail or I'll kill you myself"

So I've been feeling better lately. Good enough to write a chapter every now and then. I'll post a few chapters towards the end of the year before I get back on the grind. What y'all think of the chapter. I've got an incoming chapter for Arms Around You on the way aswell before putting all my effort on finishing off Remnant's Faker. Once I finish it I'll go back to working on the other 3. Anyways with that said, I hope you all liked my first chapter back in a while.
