Issei charges towards me with some good speed. Meanwhile, I wait for him to get close to me with a strategy in mind.

Issei: "Eat shit golden nuts!!"

He swings at me but I dodge his attack. I kick him in the gut while standing over him with one hand in my pocket.

Y/n: "That's it?"

He jumps up and nearly punches me but I was too quick and evaded the attack. He grunts as he holds his stomach, the previous attack still bothering.

Rias: "You can do it Issei!!"

I can hear Rias and the rest of her peerage cheering him on.

Issei: "My friends will give me the strength to beat the shit out of you, you arrogant asshole"

I could see the fire in his eyes blazing like the sun. He was going to start going all out soon which was what I was hoping for.

Time to completely destroy you and shatter that confidence in front of your friends.

I smirk as I wave him to come at me. As expected, he charged at me without paying attention to the position of my sword. I waited for my opportunity to attack as he jumps into the air. He swings his fist once more, but again, I dodge it easily. I had my back to him as I smile at Rias and her peerage. Issei used this chance to attack me from behind but it was too late. I swing my sword upwards and it explodes in his face, sending him flying back into a wall. The power of the explosion must have been stronger than I thought since it ended up knocking him out.

Y/n: "Is that it? All that bark only to be taken out in one move. Pathetic"

Rias: "Issei!!!"

Rias rushes to her pawn's aid. She takes him into her arms while I turn my attention back to Sirzechs.

Y/n: "I believe that I'm owed some chess pieces if memory serves me right?"

Sirzechs nods as Grayfia walks over to me and hands me a box. I open them and see a complete set.

Y/n: "This really does put a smile on my face"

Rias: "Y/n!!"

I turn back as Rias has a ball of energy pointed towards me.

Rias: "I won't let what you did to Issei go unpunished"

Y/n: "Listen red. This happened because your brother here"

I say pointing to Sirzechs.

Y/n: "Asked me to fight him for my pieces. I obliged and won fair and square. If your slave got injured in the process, it isn't my fault"

Grayfia: "Rias, stand down"

Grayfia attempted to intervene but it was hopeless.

It looks like she isn't powering down.

Y/n: "Well, I'm tired of hiding my power at this point. I'll just have to show her the difference in power"

I remove the bracelets and smile.

Y/n: "Let this be a lesson on what it means to be in the presence of a king"

I open a gate, pull out another sword and lift it up.

Y/n: "Open them... OPEN THE GATE OF BABYLON!!!"

On command, dozens of gates appear as my treasures pop out.

Rias: "What?! What's that.."

Rias couldn't believe her eyes.

Kiba: "How many swords does he have"

Kiba could generate swords aswell but nothing of this power.

I grin as they look up in horror.

Y/n: "May your remains entertain me"

I injected mana into the swords as they got ready to launch towards them.

Sirzechs: "Y/n!!!"

I look back to Sirzechs.

Y/n: "What is it?"

Sirzechs: "We don't need to cause violence. We are in an alliance are we not?"

I turn back to the runts ahead and glare at them. Rias looked at me in the eyes which caused my anger to spike.

I turn back to Sirzechs as I return the sword in my hand to Babylon.

Y/n: "Alright. I won't fight but keep this in mind, you nor your sister own me. I do as I please"

I close Babylon after finishing and turn away.

Y/n: "Now that that's done, I'd like to go back"

Sirzechs: "As you wish. Grayfia"

She nods as she creates a teleporter in front of me. I step on it and wait to be taken back.

Grayfia: "You'll be appear back at the school building"

Y/n: "That's fine"

The next second, I find myself back at the ORC room. I make my way out with the box in my hand.

Y/n: "Might as well hide it"

I open a gate and put the box containing my pieces inside. I exit the building shortly after.

Y/n: "Now, to look for some people worthy of my pieces... starting with that priest girl coming. Will you be worthy of being in my peerage?"

I exit the school gates and pull out my cellphone. I scroll through it and find the contact I was looking for.

Raynare: "Hello?"

Y/n: "Raynare, it's me. Any news on the girl"

Raynare: "She will be here tomorrow at noon. She will be coming from the north side of Kuoh"

Y/n: "Good. Keep doing your job and I'll guarantee you, you will be greatly compensated for it"

Raynare: "I will do.. my king"

I hang up as a big smile appears on my face.

Everything is turning out better than I thought.

??: "I guess you have the pieces"

I heard a familiar voice as I lean against the wall.

Gilgamesh, it's not even been 2 days.

Gilgamesh: "I just wanted to check up on your progress and from the look of your face, I can only guess it's been going well"

Well, when you get dealt with bullshit all your life. When something finally goes your way, you just can't help but smile.

Gilgamesh: "Well, keep doing what you have been doing. I'm sure you'll get it done"

I can feel his presence leave once again as I sit back and chuckle to myself. I stand back up and walk back home with a grin on my face. The sun began to go down as the sunset brings an orange tint to the sky.

To think, all my life in the other world I could never enjoy some of the simple things like looking up at the sky because of stress. Now, it seems I can finally enjoy the little things.

Gas station

A short girl with white hair approaches a gas station and looks through the window. She didnt look like she was hungry but was just staring inside, looking at all the people getting along. She doesn't say a word as she sits down and looks out into the sky, wondering if she ever will find someone who to get along with.

Back home

I put my bag on the floor as I wait for the day to end and for tomorrow to come. I close my eyes to rest up and sleep for a couple of hours before I wake myself up. I look at the clock as it reads 2 am.

Y/n: "Really?"

I get up and check the fridge.

Y/n: "Don't really feel like cooking. If only I had someone else here too... I guess having a lot of power really doesn't change the fact of how lonely it can get without others"

Plus, I've been acting pretty high above everyone.

I put a hoodie over my shirtless body and my shoes on. I head out to a gas station nearby to find something to munch on.

Y/n: "Could buy some buns or something like that. Maybe some noodles if they got some.. Oh lord do I crave some-"

I stop in my tracks as I notice a beautiful girl sitting down by the gas station door.

We make eye contact and dont break it for a minute. I snap out of it and walk in.

Y/n: "Buns, buns... there you are!!"

I grab some chocolate milk to go along with it and head to the cash register. The cashier scans my items and I look out the door. That girl was still there. I sigh as I tell the cashier that I'll take a couple more. He bags my items and I head out.

Y/n: "Hey, you hungry?"

I offer her a bun as she looks at it. She pulls out a note pad and starts writing on it.

She can't speak.

??: "Are you sure you want me to have it?"

Y/n: "Of course. Here, you can have it"

She looks at me before looking back at the bun again. She takes it and starts writing on her note pad.

??: "Thank you"

Y/n: "No problem, my name's Y/n"

Eu: "I'm Eucliwood Hellscythe but you can call me Eu if you'd like"

Y/n: "Alright, Eu. Mind if I sit here?"

She nods her head as I take a seat beside her. We talk for an hour before I ask her something that's been on my mind since seeing her.

Y/n: "What are you doing here all alone, don't you have anywhere to stay?"

Eu: "No"

Y/n: "You don't have any family, any friends you can call? I'll lend you my phone so you can text them if you'd like"

Eu: "No. I don't have anyone"

There's no way I can leave her here alone... my place isn't big enough to just bring her with me.. but..

Y/n: "Well if you'd like, you can come stay at my place? I can cook a little, it's not big but I can keep you warm on cold nights like these. What do you say?"

She looks at me and starts writing in her notepad.

Eu: "Are you sure? You don't really know me well"

Y/n: "Well, how about we start like this. Do you have any friends?"

Eu: "No"

Y/n: "Well then, from here on out, I'll be your first friend"

She was caught of guard by my sudden comment and writes on her notepad while covering her face with it.

Eu: "Really? Thank you!!"

She flips the page and writes some more.

Eu: "Are you sure you're okay with me staying?"

Y/n: "Of course"

I stand up and stretch my hand out to her. She grabs it and I help lift her up while signaling her to follow me. We arrive at my apartment after a short walk and start setting up my couch.

Eu: "Where do I sleep?"

Y/n: "You get the bed. I'll get the couch"

Eu: "But won't it be uncomfortable for you?"

Y/n: "You get used to it eventually"

I pat it down and lay down on the couch. Eu looks at me and writes one final thing on her note pad.

Eu: "Goodnight Y/n"

I smile at her while putting my head on the pillow.

Y/n: "Goodnight Eu"

I turn the light off and fall asleep.
